I thought this movie was a perfect representation of Aretha Franklin music in her early days, and what she went through in her life. I see why Mrs. Franklin chose Jennifer Hudson to play her in this movie she did a fantastic job playing this role.

Such a fun and interesting dvd. Love the music and people in it. Worth the watch.

Amazing movie, nice to finally see this story told and Jennifer Hudson is amazing. The only thing that tarnished the purchase was I share my digital library with my brother who takes care of my dad and was excited to share this one with them but the digital code is for itunes. Besides people with an apple device does anyone even use itunes anymore.

Aretha was a part of my life from the time she started recording her "hits." Even so, I was not very familiar with her early life and career, which this film highlights. Her determination and great talent took her over or around the many obstacles she faced. While I think it might have been just a little overlong, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie's story line and, of course, the music.

Purchased for my wife as a Christmas gift. She is a Jennifer Hudson and an Aretha Franklin fan. This is another great acting film for Jennifer Hudson. The resemblance of the two is uncanny and man her voice is to die for. I'm sure that Miss Aretha Franklin is smiling down on her.

A look back at the life of Aretha Franklin starting from childhood. We see how this super star was developed. We witness Aretha experience the ups and down which we all live through in this journey called life. Jennifer Hudson performance was excellent, I know Aretha would have been proud of it!

I enjoy the fact I can find most of the latest blockbusters at BEST BUY. This DVD will allow me to enjoy this movie over and over again. I understand many people have DVD but i still enjoy having my own copy of movies i enjoy. I hope BEST BUY expands it's selection of mkvies and also increase it's selection of 4K movies. I would have enjoyed a 4K copy of this movie. Looki g forward to my next visit to the store to see what's available.

RESPECT is a great movie if you want to have a good idea of the life of the queen of soul Aretha Franklin. This movie is basically for adults whom will appreciate RESPECT.

Aretha Franklin was the queen of soul. I love this movie because it provided so much insight into her life. She always demanded respect and through all of her trials and tribulations she received it.

RESPECT was just okay. Not as great as I expected.

This is a must see, authentic representation of a great singer, Jennifer Hudson compelling and the music a wonderful experience as well as a hard look at the singer's life. Highly recommend Respect.

I love Ms Franklins music and have watched this DVD several times to relive her life and listen to her music. Actually bought another copy to give to my sister. You will not be disappointed!

I always enjoy movies that showcase a person life and it's always good when they validate some of the person life when making the movie

With the help of the store clerk in that department, I was able to obtain the Digital blue ray DVD right away. She was very knowledgeable and courteous.

The Polk SignaS2 is a great system for the money. Very easy to set up and no hard wiring needed. Sound quality is great and subwoofer adds nice timbre.

Great movie. Very captivating and excellent presentation on blu-ray. Jennifer is phenomenal. Please get a 4k and steel book version of this movie asap.

Omg!!! What a great movie. I watched it on the airplane headed to Dallas. I normally fall asleep but this caught my attention. I love it!!
