Once we purchased our BLU R1 HD and started using it to take pictures while out and about we decided that we should look for something that could be used as a tripod and selfie stick. After looking at some of the different options, we decided that we would give this Bluetooth Selfie Stick Tripod with Wireless Remote a try, since it had a reasonably high star rating. This selfie stick was easy enough to pair with our BLU R1 HD and is compact enough to carry in a medium sized purse. Using it to take pictures while in the selfie stick or the tripod mode is easy to do using the wireless remote. When you rotate the selfie stick to the desired position, you just need to make sure that it clicks in place or it could rotate while photographing. Being able to recharge the battery using the included USB cable makes the wireless remote a no brainer for use, as you do not need to worry about buying and/or changing batteries. The only negative thing that we noticed is that the phone needs to be off center, otherwise the cell phone cradle can push the buttons on the side(s), which can cause undesired results. We are sure that most selfie sticks could encounter this issue though, but it is something to keep in mind when setting it up. If you are in the market for a selfie stick that can also double as a small tripod to use in your travels, then this is definitely a good item to buy.

    Retrak Selfie Stick Blue tooth

Selfie stick was cheap so I said what the heck I'll try it. It charged well and worked well with my old but functional Samsung Galaxy S4. Yes, when it's extended it is of course a little shaky so you have to have a steady hand. This is basisc physics the longer you have it out the more pronounced the slightest movement is by the time it gets to the end. I saw where someone complained about this point is why I added it in. Stick worked well the first two times out and charged seamlessly. I didn't use it for a couple of weeks so I put it on charge just to be sure it was fully charged when I used it. The red light came on but stayed on and never went off indicating a full charge. I tried it while it was still plugged up but it wouldn't work. I even left it on charge over night then for a couple of days. Tried different cords everything. The stick will no longer charge.Sort of disappointed but glad it was only $10.00 lost. and not $30.00 . Seems to be a reoccurring problem from the reviews so I don't think I can recommend it. . Maybe I'll read the reviews on some other brands before I get another one.

Honestly I'm kind of disappointed in this product. When I first got the selfie stick it was working fine, I could even use the Bluetooth feature on my different camera apps such as snapchat. However, there are a few things you should know before you decide to purchase this item; 1.You have to have a steady hand when pressing the capture button on the stick (I would recommend two-handing it) or else your picture while come out a bit shaken and blurry 2. As quickly as it connects with iPhones, it may take a little longer for it to work with androids because you to go to camera settings, etc 3. Good luck fitting your tablet sized phones without snapping the spring. My phone is the Galaxy s3 and while it did fit the first couple of times the spring that held my phone in place was starting to get loose. Eventually when I lifted the green tab to set my phone in place the springs came loose and now it's broken. :(

I originally bought this to take on my Honeymoon however the first one i bought broke within minutes of using it. Tried to put my phone in the holding clip and the plastic broke. Had to drive back to Best Buy and get it replaced with a new one. After getting the new one i was gentle with it to avoid issues but it still managed to fail and break while i was traveling outside the US. The plastic they use is very cheap to the point that cracks appeared on the piece that helps you angle the phone within the first 3 days. By the end of the first week the stick was unusable since i was worried the part would completely break at any point and drop my phone. Luckily enough i brought a second selfie stick from another manufacturer which ended up saving the day and the rest of the vacation pictures. Also the rubber sleeve on the handle slides up the stick constantly that you need to re-adjust in order to be able to use the stick. Another issue was the fact that the Bluetooth didn't fully work, sometimes it would respond after pressing the button once and other times you had to press the button multiple times. Bad product and i would not recommend.

I have an Otterbox case on my iPhone 6s+ and it barely fit in the cradle. Without a case the phone would have fit well but at what cost? Also the first time I really needed it at my son's graduation, it wouldn't take pics even though the phone was synched to it. I eventually discovered that the rubber cover had slid out of position and the button was no longer under the raised button on the rubber cover. After adjusting it several times, I could never get it to fit exactly and stay, so I gave up ad resorted to finding the button under the cover wherever it happened to end up. I could take pics then but I shouldn't have to re-engineer it every time I use it; especially for a $20 selfie stick. They need to work on the rubber cover attachment.

I purchased the ReTrak selfie stick to aid in taking group photos for a family vacation. After squeezing my Samsung Note8 into the limited phone holder frame, I took the first test photo. The picture came out great, nice and clear! After a couple of days, the rubber covering on the stick started twisting around causing the bluetooth shutter button to move away from its base position. I'd twist it back around to align the shutter button, only for the rubber covering to steadily shift again and again. My sole purpose for buying the selfie stick is now moot, because it doesn't work as intended. It has since been returned to Best Buy for a full refund.

Presentation/Availability: Product was well packaged with no broken/opened box. There weren't many available at the store. Performance: My review is for the iPhone 7. It does exactly what I needed from this device. It connected with the phone without errors and works perfectly. Little difficult to use when windy conditions because the weight of the phone will make it move, but that’s nature. The only minor issue I have was when extending it longer, the phone did have some problems when focusing for the photo, but if you can hold it steady, it will do it anyway. Customer service: Very good customer service. I was greeted by an employee as soon as I walked through the door and helped me to contact the correct employee at the right area for getting my product, which I did quickly.

Okay, it's a selfie stick, so let's be realistic. It takes selfies. I bought this to take on my European trip with my wife. It did fine, but did have flaws. The rubber around the handle kept sliding, which made it hard to find the button. It would also get stuck and have my camera start an unending burst instead of one picture. The connector that holds the phone on gives a bit of a wiggle which makes it feel unsteady. I also had to turn my phone on and off a few times, because even though it was connected to the Bluetooth, it wouldn't do anything. Finally, the battery was also weaker than I hoped. It oftener couldn't last an entire day of travel. With all that said, it did what it was supposed to do...it just caused a bit of frustration.

It's Heavy & Hard to set up for Samsung Galaxy

While I was under the impression that owning a selfie stick would be convenient, setting up this device was not very user friendly. While on a trip with 4 others we all tried to connect the device to our phones. Another friend connected easier to his iphone, but still could not connect to my Android. Finally after carrying it around all day without being able to use it I was able to figure it out that evening while watching a video on youtube. Another problem I had was it's weight. When extending it out for long periods of time it becomes very heavy. So if your trying to organize a group selfie or trying to get the background of your picture just right, it may come out blurry, do to your hand shacking. I would recommend something lighter and specific to Android users.

So I guess selfie sticks aren't as popular as they used to be but I was going on vacation and needed one in a pinch. This was the only one at my local BB and I actually hated to buy it. It is so lightweight there didn't feel like there was anything in the box; yes, this is great for traveling, bad when all the new smart phones are triple the weight of what you are about to dangle your phone in the air with. Anywho, it was simple, not fancy, didn't feel real good about how the phone attached but all in all, it got the job done.

I like this selfie stick because it is VERY safe for my iPhone 6, however, at times it would randomly disconnect from Bluetooth so I would have to reconnect before snapping a photo. The button also is at a slightly weird position and I had to keep readjusting the phone each time! It became very frustrating because I had to keep moving the phone so my hand was in the proper place to push the button. AGAIN, I do like this because it keeps my phone very safe compared to other selfie sticks I have used, it just became a pain at times! My main concern with these is my phone falling out (which has happened for other friends with other models) and this one keeps your phone very secure! Also has additional pieces to use a GoPro.

Positves: lightweight and fairly compact. Negatives: no way to tell when fully charged or low on charge; adjustable clasp may not hold your phone if in a mophie case or some other type of hard protective case-therefore must first remove the phone and then place in the clasp to get a "secure fit". For the price - overall it does what a "selfie stick" should do-it allows you to take an extended picture of you and your subject when there is no one else to do it for you. Sometimes the button which activates the camera shutter does not always work the first time and you have to push it again. Not a bad gadget for the money, but it does take some getting use to in order to keep your hand or arm out of the picture.

This selfie stick is used for work. It is easy to carry I use it to take pictures in attics of rafters. It holds my IPhone at any angle I need. I extend easy and can take my pictures I need for work. It works great with my iPhone X it adjust to different angles to easy take pictures with the push of a button. It is much more than a selfie stick for it. I do not have to go get a ladder for those hard to reach places. It allows me to extend my iPhone to take all the pictures I need. I highly recommend this item The price is great for the use you will get out of it

It's a selfie stick...Bluetooth works just fine. We bought this one as a gift for a friend of my 11 yr old daughter. It's not very sturdy as we had to replace the one my daughter got for Christmas, since the telescoping 'stick' made of aluminum(?) broke a week later on New Year's. Then the replacement selfie stick broke this past week during Spring Break at the beach--mostly my fault as I tried to put an iPhone 6+ in the plastic holder and the holder snapped in two. Luckily, I was able to replace it with the holder from the original one she got for Christmas. So, just as long as your not rough with it, it works as advertised and my daughter (and wife) loves it!

Decent stick for price. I have an iphone6 plus and had to take otterbox case off to fit which was a little disappointing since the last stick I had fit my phone with it on but LOVE the Bluetooth feature. My last stick quit working on vacation because something went bad in the wiring. With the Bluetooth don't have to worry about the wires! I have only used it twice. I am a little concerned about the durability though I have not had an issue so far. The weight of the phone is a concern as the plastic holder on the stick does not seem like it is strong enough to support heavier phones but in the 2 times I have used it, it hasn't been an issue so far.

We bought this for a Vegas trip. It is well made and the bluetooth button works well. So for over all product I would give high marks. On the down side if you have a larger phone (we have a note 4) in some type of case (ours is in otterbox) it does not really fit. I was able to make it work by taking the rubber off of the outer holder but that also makes it fall out easier so you have to be careful. Also just a note in general. When it is fully extended it is fairly end heavy so my wife could not use it. I can use it, but hard to keep steady. Again well made and works great. Just have to be careful of what type of camera and how big it is after you have a case on it.

I received this as a stocking stuffer, and I was thrilled. Selfie Sticks get a lot of bad publicity as their name implies narcissism and selfishness, so I choose not to look at it as a Selfie Stick, and instead as a "telescoping monopod with remote shutter release." Framed in that perspective, the Selfie Stick becomes a serious photographic aid. I am now able to take photos at some really interesting angles, and I am able to use it to better stabilize my phone for videos. So--Why only four stars? The shutter release on my Selfie Stick got stuck, and I shot over 700 photos of the ground, so I had to exchange my first one. The second one seems to be working well.

I have to admit that I was uncertain about this product's quality. I wanted to get this for my daughter & daughter-in-law but first bought just one for myself. The print in the instruction booklet was too small to read (for these old eyes). Set up was pretty straight forward, but I had trouble finding the on/off switch (black switch located on the bottom of the black handle). I have had this product for over a month and is still working from the original charge. Just a note - I don't leave it on. After I take a picture, I turn it off. I have had zero issues with this product and have bought two more and gave them as gifts.

Took it to Australia. Used it only 5-6 times. Basic, but flimsy when extended very far. Charge didn't seem to last too long. Then took it to Japan where it didn't work. Figured out that the stick had come loose from the rubber handle so the push button wouldn't work. I manually twisted the handle back into a working position but don't know how long it will last. My recommendation is pay more and get a sturdier model.

I purchased this in Dec, took it on a holiday break and used it quite a bit. When opened looked cheap and I felt it wouldn't last long. But to my surprise it survived two week trip to Big Island, where we took lots of selfies. Having a rechargeable battery is a plus, the clip to secure phone was fine, but not secure, so watch out. Sometimes the sliding button at the bottom would get stuck triggered a series of rapid shots. I had to turn off and on again to stop it and delete all extra selfie shots! Other than that I'm fine with my purchase. Hope it will last.
