Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Utopia 360° Virtual Reality Headset's price and the virtual reality experience it provides, also noting its ease of use. However, negative feedback frequently cites issues with phone compatibility and controller functionality, with some users also reporting problems with the remote and headset fit. Many found the VR experience enjoyable for the price. The headset's compatibility with various phone models appears to be a significant concern.

These are not high end headsets nor did I expect them to be when ordering them. For the price paid, they're worth it.

I was excited, it uses the cardboard viewer format. But the controller that comes with it is NOT compatible with the J7

    Entry-level VR with Controller

I got this as an entry-level foray into VR. It is a step up from the cardboard box (has headband, adjustable focal length and adjustable pupilary distance). This and others work best with newer high-resolution phones. The field of vision is a bit narrow, but I didn't pay 200, either! The button in the middle is actually taps the screen, an action command used in some apps (not the latch for the phone door, like I originally thought). The instructions are minimal, but don't throw them out. You need the QR code to use the Cardboard app (and probably others). The instructions also explain the controller modes. The original controller was cheap junk and didn't work in 3 of 4 modes (the version with the Android/IOS switch). I contacted tech support and they mailed a replacement. The replacement is *MUCH* better quality. The spring loaded clips to hold the phone may interfere with the phone's volume and power buttons (i have to be careful loading the phone or it goes into Mute or tries to turn off). Still, it's fun. I don't feel like I wasted money.

My 11 year old picked it out and she has been at it for hours. The instructions on Android slash apple users need and update or a website but other than that it keeps her engaged. The remote control has yet to be used yet so some syncing issues have arisen with that piece but for the price it's a decent pick up

Doesn't work with my phone(Note4) the holder shuts my phone off. No way to not let it hold down my power button. Works OK with other phones, but the hand controller is intermittent. Still learning it...

I wanted to try some different VR games and options, but wasn't sure I was going to use the device enough to spend around 100$. This was a great option, but I have yet to be able to use the bluetooth controller included. The included screentap option is not the most comfortable position to reach, especially when you're looking around randomly for the next point of interest to use it. A much larger button in the top center, or a right or left side option would be better. My only other complaint is the adjustability. Some more options for near/farsighted people would be nice as it doesn't fit with glasses. Those minor complaints aside, I did enjoy this device. The graphics were great, and there is a large amount of fun and free games to try. At this time I have no desire to spend more money on a device that may or may not interface more smoothly with the games. If I find a game that does work better with the screentap option or the included controller, I may upgrade, but barring a truly excellent game I'm happy with the way this one functions.

The bottom line is I got this one sale which was a decent price for the headset but I was never able to get the controller to connect and function. After different batteries and phones, I gave up. If you don't need a controller and want a cheap headset, look no further.

This was my first VR head gear and it works ok with my V20. The clip makes the volume lower on the phone. I can't find the right way to insert it but it was a great price and the nearsighted knobs work so I don't have to wear glasses. I would recommend this to friends.

I got two for my 10 year old twin boys. They’re still a little rough with their things but this is still in perfect shape. They love using it and have fun with the VR apps. The remote is a nice extra feature that allows them to do more. Only thing is you need either a thin case and r no case to allow closure on unit.

This is a basic VR set up that only works if you have a phone that fits in it. My iPhone Xs Max DID NOT fit in the VR compartment. I had to use an old iPod Touch (7th Gen) and it worked perfectly fine. The product feels a bit cheap but it's very affordable. It is a way to get a glimpse into the VR world, but as a PlayStation VR owner I DO NOT recommend having this as a beginner's setup for VR. This is more for like your kid, if you don't want to risk your real VR setup getting ruined. But other than that, this VR kit has a free bluetooth controller and it seems that a lot of thought was set on the packaging. There's a lot of apps that support this type of setup so you can have a fair VR experience through YouTube, VR Websites and such but don't expect anything amazing.
