Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Utopia 360° Virtual Reality Headset's price and the virtual reality experience it provides, also noting its ease of use. However, negative feedback frequently cites issues with phone compatibility and controller functionality, with some users also reporting problems with the remote and headset fit. Many found the VR experience enjoyable for the price. The headset's compatibility with various phone models appears to be a significant concern.

I purchased this as a Christmas present to myself. I was very interested in the technology, but didn't want to spend too much, since I wasn't sure that I would be able to use it properly, or enjoy it. I did a lot of research looking at reviews from tech sites and users. I found that the Retrak - Utopia 360° Virtual Reality Headset With Bluetooth Controller had very good reviews and the price was right for me. It turned out that I made the right choice. It wasn't as easy to use as I thought it would be but I handled it.

the VR is good but found it risky for my kids. They walk all over risking a call from the stairs. Returned the item. Very good price though.

Doesn't work correctly with iPhone. Even the remote does not work. Only able to play things that required no movement. Headset is heavy.

Keep in mind this headset will not come close to the experience an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive system will get you, but these types of headsets are still really fun. The controller isn't that great, but the lens adjustments make this headset better than standard Cardboard or other cheaper models.

picked this up on sale with the intention of just messing around with for a few hours then giving to my sister's kids. Android apps are okay - not the most sophisticated, but still not bad. The hardware is a little cheaply made, but you can't expect too much in this price range. Using a Moto G6 works for me, but unfortunately the phone will not fit with the protective case on. I plan on using an older spare phone when I have time to set it up.

I had originally secured a sample virtual reality headset with minimal options and no Bluetooth interface. This unit had many more options and the grandkids love them. I did have a learning curve and should have read the instructions more thoroughly before setting up but after reading the instructions worked fine. You must use a regular mobile fone does not work with ipod.

Doesn't work. Downloaded the software put batteries in the remote linked the remote to my iPhone and tried it out. The first thing you have to do in the VR app is to click on a button. There's no button on the headset to click and none of the buttons on the remote do anything. I tried calling support and got a message asking me to leave my phone number and someone would call me back the next day. With support like this I think I'll just return the product.

You get what you pay for. It took about an hour to get it to work after watching a YouTube video. After I got the glasses to work, I couldn't get the handheld controller to work in a few if the games. Overall, the neat effect lasted for a few hours but wore off. Perhaps someone with more time can have fun with it.

I have received it today and have tried it, it does it’s job well. Non flimsy, solid outer plastic, straps and controls. The remote somehow doesn’t work well, It is cheaply made. However the VR works perfectly fine! I like watching videos and playing various games on this VR.

The app works well, as does the viewer, but the bluetooth controller is cheaply made and does not work at all. This product was recommended to me at the store. I would not recommend it to anyone because of the controller.

Ever want to feel like you are actually right where you are watching on your phone? This Utopia 360 VR Headset does the job. Although you will look a little silly wearing the headset, you won’t care because it will seem like you are in the magical place you are watching. Be careful not turn to much to look around and get dizzy and knock anything in your home over. Excellent price for what it does.

I was a little bit disappointed in the apps available for the viewer. None of the apps I found used the hand controller. It does pair with my phone, but does not connect to the software so I am not sure if the controller does not work, or there are no apps that use the hand controller. The headset is ok. is has very minimal ability to improve focus so everything is a little fuzzy. I think the technology has a ways to go.
