I purchased the Rexing CPStream Wireless Multimedia Receiver as a gift for my parents' car, hoping it would provide a seamless CarPlay/Android Auto experience. Unfortunately, after trying it out myself to ensure it was suitable, I decided to return it due to several major issues: Obstructive Display The screen is quite large, which might sound like a good thing, but when placed on the windshield, it blocks the driver's view significantly. I tried positioning it in different ways, but no matter what, it created a safety concern. WiFi Connectivity Issues The device connects to your phone via WiFi rather than Bluetooth, which became a major inconvenience. At home, my phone would automatically connect to the device’s WiFi whenever it was within range, even though I wasn’t using it. This disrupted my phone's connection to my home WiFi and created unnecessary frustration. I knew this would be even more problematic for my parents. Always-On Screen The device remains powered on even when the car is off. While there’s a button under the screen to manually turn it off, this adds an extra step that I felt my parents shouldn’t have to deal with. Additionally, an always-on screen means unnecessary battery drain, which is a concern for long-term car battery health. While the concept is appealing, these flaws made it impractical for my needs, especially as a gift for less tech-savvy users. For these reasons, I decided to return the product.

This CarPlay unit is awesome. I bought it for my Fiat and it’s compact and sleek enough to sit on the dash without blocking my view. It’s the same size as my iPhone 13 Pro Max for . The screen is very responsive. And the build quality is amazing. For the price this is a great buy.

Got it for the apple car play! And it works great! I love beng able to see my map and directions.

I’ve only used it a few times and it constantly turns off after a few minutes.No exaggeration, but it doesn’t even stay on for a 5 minute drive to the grocery store.

Never receive it since ordering it over a month ago.

This is a very convenient product to add CarPlay/Bluetooth/android auto to an existing factory system. Very easy to use the GPS/Map app an older vehicle.
