I made sure that I bought the kit to go with it got it installed through Best Buy and I've had to come up here multiple times because my battery was dying I have a 2024 Toyota and my battery was doing great but I had them unhook it for a little bit and my battery just never went back to life so after two days I've been unhooked I just went ahead and bought another battery and now I just had them connected back so we'll see

It’s been giving me Problems after 2 weeks the days I bought it.. shuts off by itself every 30 minutes

I just upgraded to the Rexing R4-RD mainly for the 360 degree parking monitor with motion sensing capability. I’ve had many Rexing dash cams in the past and they have never disappointed. They are extremely reliable and have never had a problem with any of them. They are super easy to install, with everything already included to be able to use right out of the box. It even comes with a micro sd card which is necessary to store all the video it constantly takes. The R4-RD also comes with an obd adapter that just plugs right in so no need to tap into any wires or the fuse box to power it. It also has a voltage monitor so just in case your car battery is running low, it will automatically cut power to the dash cam so you don’t have a dead car battery. The quality of the 1080P recording is superb, even showing sharp details at night. My favorite feature by far is the parking monitor that will record 360 degrees, front, rear and both sides of your car. It will automatically start recording if there is an impact or when it senses motion nearby. You can even adjust the cameras so you can get the best camera angle, not missing a single area of your car. This gives me the peace of mind that if something were to happen while parked, I would have it recorded and documented. I’ve used the R4-RD now for almost a month and I am seriously blown away by this awesome little powerhouse of a dash cam. If you’re looking for a high quality dash cam packed with features and easy to use, look no further. This is the one!

I can honestly say the Rexing R4-RD 4-Channel Dash Cam has completely changed how safe I feel on the road. I’ve been using the Rexing R4-RD for a few weeks now and overall I’m pretty satisfied with it. The biggest reason I chose this one was the full 360-degree coverage with four cameras. It records front, rear, and both sides, which gives a lot more confidence compared to basic single-camera setups. Installation took some time because of the extra cameras and wiring, but once it was set up, it worked reliably. Video quality is clear enough to read plates during the day, and night recording has been decent so far. I also like having GPS built in so speed and location are saved with the footage. The parking monitor feature is another plus, especially when the vehicle is left outside. The Wi-Fi app works well for reviewing clips without removing the card, although it can take a minute to transfer larger files. Overall, if you want full coverage around your vehicle instead of just front and rear, this is a solid option. It’s not the simplest system to install, but once it’s in place, it gives good peace of mind.

I have always liked how Tesla's can record 24/7, but with the Rexing R4-RD any car can have this feature. The R4-RD is not only a wonderful dash cam but it also has added protection whenever the car is parked. I drive a 2018 Honda CR-V Touring and for me personally I commute and park in an unsafe part of my city so having this gives me a peace of mind. If the unfortunate should happen I have evidence. The camera box includes everything you need for a fast and easy install. Its nice Rexing keeps this in mind with every product and even generously includes a micro SD card. The camera is also powered via the ODB port so installing it is easier compared to other dash cams. The inclusion of a suction cup mount not only made the install easier but adjustments were also easy since other dash cams usually require adhesive or double sided sticky tape to install and are difficult to move once they are stuck in place. Overall I highly recommend the Rexing R4-RD Dash Cam since its a very solid choice and you can consider it your "personal sentry" for your vehicle!

This is my third Rexing product, and honestly, this one might be my favorite. The R4‑RD really does give you coverage from every angle, so I can see what’s happening in front, behind, and around the car without any blind spots. The 360° motion parking monitor has already caught a few people walking very close to my car, which makes me feel a lot better about leaving it in parking lots or on the street. The video quality is clear and detailed, day and night, and the built‑in GPS is a nice bonus because the speed and location are saved with the clips. The app is actually pretty convenient—I can quickly pull up videos on my phone or computer instead of messing with the memory card every time. Installing it does take some patience, since there are multiple cameras and cables to route, but once it’s in, you really don’t have to mess with it much. Overall, it feels solid, reliable, and exactly what I was hoping for in an all‑around dash cam.

This is an excellent GPS! It’s very accurate, fast, and reliable. The directions on the screen are clear, and any reroutes needed happen almost instantly when needed. The interface is easy to use as it has always been with my previous rexing GPSes and the camera quality is excellent as well. I installed this on my second car in less than an hour. The coverage is great, including the rear view. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a dependable GPS!

I recently picked up the Rexing R4-RD for my wife’s SUV, and it has been a solid addition to our family car. With a vehicle that size, I really wanted something that could monitor other drivers from every angle, and this multi-camera setup definitely delivers on that. The installation was much easier than I expected, especially since it comes with cable management tooling that helps you tuck the wires away for a clean look. I originally wasn't sure if I’d bother with the GPS add-on, but it is so small and easy to mount that I figured I might as well put it in. The biggest improvement over our last dashcam is the wireless connectivity. With my old unit, I had to physically plug it into a computer or pull the SD card just to get a video clip, which was a huge pain. This one lets me download everything wirelessly through the app, which saves a lot of time. One thing I would suggest to anyone buying this is to pick up a high-quality SD card (I got a class 10/UHS-3) with a reasonable amount of storage. I got one that's 256GB, and since it’s recording from four cameras at once, I wanted the extra space to make sure I had enough recording time before it starts overwriting older footage. There are a few minor things that aren't perfect, but I'm fine with them considering the overall performance. The 1080p recording resolution is clear enough for most situations, though I've noticed it struggles a little bit with fine details in very low-light conditions compared to some higher-end models. Also, the app interface feels a bit dated and took me a few tries to really get the hang of, but once you've got it figured out, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Overall, for the price and the 360-degree coverage, it’s a great value for a large family car. Strongly recommended!

This camera is a bit larger than previous cameras that I had which is be the only drawback I have. I suppose this is needed due to the number of cameras! Front, back, side....every angle covered. This is probably best suited for ride-sharing drivers where activity inside is completely recorded. Feel that a larger SD card would be better as more cameras mean it fills up quicker and writes over itself sooner.

I have been reviewing Rexing cameras for a while now. The first thing anyone would notice is that it’s bulky. Agreed it’s 4 channels, but still for people who like their dashcams discrete, this is a disappointment. The suction mount makes it look even bigger than necessary. GPS module is separate (provided of course) and needs to be connected externally, which adds to the total setup size and wiring to manage. That’s all downside there is to it. Otherwise, it’s a great dashcam, best utility for people looking for all round protection, recording interactions through windows, bad lane changers. If side recording is not your thing, the side cams can be easily adjusted to record inside the car as well. This must be installed on passenger side, as it’s almost like a mini rearview mirror in size. The hardwire kit and memory cards are standard for Rexing, thank you for that. It has OBD connector for power, saving hacks through fuse box for hardwiring. It includes 64GB card, Considering the number of channels, it could be 128, but also given the storage prices, most will live with it happily. Great video quality during daytime. I found side channels grainy in the night, IDK if it’s just me. The WIFI and the app worked well for me. I could download videos with good speed, no problems there. 1080p is not bad, no fps setting though. The screen is NOT a touchscreen (like R88). It has multiple option for parking mode, it has radar for motion detection, so the camera can record only on motion detection, saving some battery.  Overall, it’s a good camera with all around 360deg recording, that’s its main benefit, it has enough settings/ options, nothing crazy, just enough. I’ll give it a solid whole hearted 4 stars.

I own an executive protection business and all of my vehicles have dash cams in them. Rexing has always been a top brand but this camera is over the top! With 360° coverage this one doesn't miss a thing and with the new hardwire kit connecting directly to your OBD port installation is easier than ever. You'll have full coverage all the way around your car for vandalism door dings whatever. You might be thinking this camera a little too much for your needs but if you get a cheap one that only goes out the windshield and something happens on the side or back you'll remember you read this and be sorry. LOL Camera already comes with all the top features you want with parking monitor automatic Loop recording GPS etc etc this camera doesn't miss a thing.

R4RD Camera Review APR 2026 Why a 5 star rating? Camera has strong case; excellent mechanical adjustments. Suction-cup mounting easy and strong. “Quick-setup instructions were accurate and easy. Additional desired features included; MPH, GPS location. If you simply want a simple stick to the window, power up and go, the R4RD almost makes it. However this does not come with a “cigarette lighter” power connector to complete the “simple install” mode. (did not look if this could be purchased separately???) I wanted a “finished” installation with the wires buried in the headliner so the cables provided were excellent. My installation started at the OBD, the rear camera wire joining and running up the door jam easily under the rubber gasket, and then two feet under the headliner and out at the mirror to the camera. My previous (now replaced) camera had a power cable that needed to connect into the fuse box, a painful experience This cable easily connects to the OBD port, no needed wire guessing with a volt meter. Improvements over my removed Rexing camera: 1. All the cables connect on the camera top. 2. Also, the memory card inserts in the TOP... my old camera inserted in the side, occasionally causing an ejection and the very small card was lost to the floor. 3. Bottom activated buttons superior to old style that press from rear. 4. Compared the R4RD video to my previous camera on the same trip; greatly superior! CONs 1. This camera has cables different from the existing camera, requiring all NEW cables to be buried and connected. 2. I have a SUV and the rear cable was about 2 foot short for where I wanted to mount the rear camera, in the center of the window where the wiper would keep the view clean. Possibly I will fabricate a small extension some day. 3. Existing Camera had the ability for a custom label (aka License plate number), this does not. Certainly not enough to remove a star, just something cool that easily could have been included.

I wanted to try a dashcam which would be able to record a 360 view. This camera fit the bill perfectly. There is 1 fixed camera in the middle in the front and 2 on the side which can be adjusted horizontally. This allowed me to angle the 2 movable cameras to cover a full view of the vehicle. It also comes with a rear view camera as well. This one does require you to install a GPS mount which also attaches to the camera as well. Overall it works great and has a good parking monitor option as well.

I have been a Rexing customer for many of their products and have been completely satisfied with the products and certainly with the customer service. I have never experienced better customer support with any other company. The R4-RD Dash Cam is a complete package when it comes to 360 degrees motion parking surveillance. The video captures 170 degrees of my truck during driving. Great features including micro SD card for additional storage, microphone, and an app feature is a great. Parking after hours in the city provides extra security. Rexing definitely went all the way on this dash cam. The GPS is an additional feature that Rexing has added for travel. Check out the Best Buy specifications and features for all the information you may need. Again Rexing customer service is superb for any questions and warranty claims. You will not find a better complete package.

Just got it, so I’m still getting used to it… I love that it has front back and side cameras. Still trying to figure out how to use it… and how to get it to shut down when car is off and parked in the garage…. They don’t come with books that explain everything to ya anymore… but other than that… it’s a great camera … after having arrest earlier… our cameraman that car saved us… because it proved we had the green light!!! I’m never driving without a camera again!

Front start to finish: The box was very sturdy and each piece of product was nicely packed and protected. The purchase via BB was easy. I've been using Rexing for a long time. I've had the pleasure of witnessing the advancements within their products. The ease of installation, thanks to either the well written instruction pamphlet or their online support, is excellent. I continue to recommend Rexing for the reasons listed. The cameras that I've had and still have are very high quality and easy to use. I, truly, can't speak highly enough. Rexing products are worth every penny.

I’m replacing an older Rexing Dash Cam with this one, and I highly recommend it. The four cameras record in 1080p and produce very clear video. License plates are easy to read, even at night or in rainy conditions. My favorite features is the radar motion sensing. It has been very reliable and, so far, has worked every single time it should. The parking mode gives me real peace of mind when the car is parked. And installation was surprisingly straightforward. One thing needs to care is that the cash cam is a larger unit (understandable with four channels), you’ll want to position it carefully so it doesn’t interfere with your view. After installation, the mobile app is intuitive for downloading clips directly to my phone. Overall, I highly recommend this dash cam for anyone looking for strong, all-around protection on the road.
