I had used a Rexing dashcam years ago. Since them, Rexing has been one of my favorites dashcam brands. I ordered this 4K model and tested prior to installation. I'm really impressed with product and picture quality.

Touchscreen dash cam from Rexing!

I'm a fan of Rexing for the extent/variety of products they provide. I'm very satisfied with how durable and reliable these dash cams are, and looking to get more products from them.
This dashcam is unique:
- touchscreen
- GPS (clock gets adjusted automatically)
- Wi-Fi (fast!)
- Front and rear camera (no cabin camera)
Most of the Rexing's previous dash cams models have buttons, not the touchscreen. Buttons are excellent because you don't have to look into the screen, but for these touchscreen you have to. But keep in mind that once you setup the dashcam, you never have to touch it again. When accidents happen, you should be in a complete stop, to retrive those recordings. So touchscreen is a wonderful feature they added. It's smooth, and very intuitive.
The front camera is very stable. The camera itself doesn't seem to move angles but the mount itself moves a bit. It's a wide angle camera so you should be fine.

Initially got thia from my wife as Christmas gift. I successfully installed the front camera and had to wait till I had time to install the rear camera, once I got time I plugged the cord into the camera and then ito the rear camera the feed showed two separate videos, disconnected the camera and installed the usb-c cable through the akin of the vehicle and then reconnected. Tries to trst the video feed and it does not show the video feeds for both cameras now. Rechecked connectivity. Inputs fully seated, connextion is straightand no pinches, no light shown on therear camera. Hardware-c kit shows both ground and acc are good at 15w. I am at a lose how to get this rear working. The xord is backwarda but it should not matter as it is a usb-c connection and is the same weither reversed or not. Will give more stars if I can get this to work. Otherwise it is a nice camera system with high quality video, already caught one aggressive driver in traffic.

This is my third Rexing dashcam. The first one did go out however Rexing replaced it with little effort on my part.
This latest Rexing is on another level. Installed in my 2016 F-150, every component is as advertised. I am still working on the hardwire cable installation, but the rear camera length was more than enough in length. There enough youtube videos to help safely install behind side airbags and such.
The main unit is very responsive and intuitive. And playbacks are much easier with the built in screen.
Looking forward to many years of comfort with this dash cam.

license plate clarity disappointed me

I currently have a THINKWARE U1000 that I have had for years. Since I have a 3rd car I decided to see whats new and opted to get the REXING because of the dual 4k cameras, specs and features!
I was disappointed that a video of a license plate of a car 8ft in front of me was not as clear as my 3-4 year old THINKWARE U1000. I am hoping I just have a defective unit because I love the other features. The replacement arrives tomorrow.
I also feel as if this could be fixed with a firmware update but who knows when/if that is coming out. I contacted REXING today and spoke to a customer care rep named Mark. I really didn't get a feeling of caring from him. But maybe thats just his personality. I have emailed REXING with the footage as he suggested and hopefully they will respond with a solution.
I am going to attach clips from both the REXING AND THINKWARE U1000 of a random car in front of me. I also tried this in the day time using the 4k setting and the 2k setting with the same subpar results.
At the bottom of each image there is an identification title for the brand of dash cam. If REXING can fix this they will have a solid lead!
I also noticed the when selecting the option for 2K it changed the focal length to a narrower perspective. It was like going from 14mm wide angle to a 24mm wide angle lens. It would be nice to have the option of the narrower view in the 4K mode. I would prefer the option of more detail with a narrower view vs less detail with fisheye view. The OPTION would be nice.
Side note... I also work at Best Buy in store 31 in Fairview Heights. If anyone is nearby and wants more information feel free to stop in and chat. I will gladly show more footage.

I have been a long-time user of a DashCam for over four years now and my original Rexing still works to this day. I am now in the market for a new dash cam my next door neighbors son just got a car and I decided to gift him my original one and use that as an excuse to get a new one.
I looked around at all the different types and thought this one was my best fit and I was correct! I am always looking for a front and rear camera and the fact that both sides are 4K is fantastic! Both the front and rear camera have fantastic quality, are clear, and are very accurate. The audio also records very clear as well. The Sony STARVIS technology really makes it top notch, it’s a great thing. I also like both mounts of the front and rear camera, I am getting a lot less glare with how they both can be adjusted to get very close to the windshield.
The power cord had plenty of length and I was able to hide it behind the trim with no issues. The cord that goes to the rear camera has enough length in my opinion to be even ok for an extra long SUV. I also liked how the rear camera cord specifically shows which end goes to the rear camera and which end goes to the dash cam. The GPS is built in, so that was one less wire to run unlike my old dashcam.
The touchscreen on the camera is very easy to use, it's not too small where it's hard and not too big where it takes up too much room. It is also very responsive as well. The included 128GB Micro SD card works just fine and gives the cameras plenty of storage to work with.
If you have ever used the Wi-Fi on a older dashcam to transfer data, then you know it can take awhile for the videos to transfer, however with this one and the 5.8GHZ WI-FI, not only did it connect easy, but the load time of the files and transfers of the files flew by like at least 5X quicker. I am very grateful for that to say the least.
Overall, if you are looking for a DashCam kit that includes everything needed, is easy to install and use, want fantastic video quality, great hardware and software that works fine out the box, then look no further, this would be a perfect match.

Great Camera, Excellent Support - One Small Caveat

Features: The built-in GPS automatically stamps speed, location, and time onto recordings, which is great for accountability. The Wi-Fi connection is fast and makes transferring clips to my phone simple—I don’t have to mess with the SD card anymore. Parking mode is another nice feature, but you’ll want to hardwire the camera to get the most out of it.
Installation & Build: Setup was straightforward. The front camera sits neatly behind my rearview mirror, and the rear camera is small enough not to block the view. The included hardwire kit and 128GB microSD card are a nice bonus.
Performance: I have seen people mention that recording is limited to 30fps, which is fine for everyday driving. I am not sure if/when I will need more than 30 FPS. Overall the clarity is excellent. The touchscreen is responsive, and locking important clips is easy with one tap. On my previous camera locking a video to make sure it was not overwritten was challenging. This one is simpler.
Value: This isn’t the cheapest dash cam, but Rexing has never been about being the cheapest. What you get is durability, great customer service, and a product that lasts. Compared to other brands, the R88 gives you premium features at a fair price. As This was an incentivized purchase, it is not so much a concern to me. Overall Rexing provides the amazing support for their products. I would always consider their products over any other brands just for their support. In the past I had a problem with one of my cameras and after a few emails the person said to just send it in and they would fix it. A few days later I received my camera back fixed. AMAZING SUPPORT.
The one thing that I wish was different about this camera is that the current Rexing camera I am using allows me to take video of what is in front of my car and what is inside (in the cabin of my car) but not what is behind my car. I always wanted all three items to be recorded. The R88 takes video of what is in front of the car and what is behind the card but NOT what is in the car. I wish I had all three.
Bottom Line: The Rexing R88 is a solid, feature-packed dash cam that delivers on video quality, reliability, and ease of use. If you’re serious about protecting yourself on the road, this is a camera worth investing in. If I was looking for a new camera for my car this would be a solid choice.

This is a decent camera for a good price. The kit comes with everything you need: a front camera, a rear camera, power supplies, a hardwire kit, stickers, and an app that allows you to view and download recorded videos to your phone. It's nice to have the app so you don't have to pull out the SD card to view your recorded videos. The video feed is of decent quality such that you can clearly see what is going on in the video. It records audio so you can hear too! This kit offers great value with everything it comes with.

Rexing R88 — My first 4K Rexing dashcam

I got the R88 for my newly leased car, and it’s my first 4K dash cam from Rexing. The video quality is a huge jump. The Sony STARVIS sensors give clean, sharp footage day and night, and plates and signs are easy to read.
One thing I’ve always liked about Rexing is that they include the hardwire kit and SD card. Setup was simple, and the front camera hides well behind the mirror. The rear camera works great too, though the straight plug makes cable management a bit harder.
Wi-Fi transfers are fast, GPS logging is accurate, and overall the camera feels reliable. The only limitation is the 30fps cap at 4K, but the clarity still holds up.
Overall, the R88 is a strong, hassle-free upgrade. As my first 4K dash cam with Rexing, it definitely exceeded expectations.
Review Rexing R88 4K Front and 4K Rear Dual Camera

I’ve just purchased and installed Rexing R88 4K Front + 4K Rear Dual Sony STARVIS Dash Cam. I am pretty impressed. The video quality seems to be top-notch — even in low light or at night, everything is sharp and detailed as with my previous Rexing cam. Both the front and rear cameras produce clear footage. This seems to be due to the dual Sony STARVIS sensors.
The installation was relatively intuitive and connecting via the 5.8GHz Wi-Fi seems to make transferring clips easy from what I can tell. The built-in GPS seems to be a plus — it logs speed and location accurately, which adds peace of mind in case of any incidents/accidents.
Overall, this dash cam delivers excellent quality, smart features, and reliability — absolutely worth the investment for anyone who values safety and high-definition footage on the road.

I’ve been using Rexing dash cams since 2018 with zero issues, and the R88 4K Front + 4K Rear Dash Cam seems to continue that reliability. The video quality is excellent on both cameras. The STARVIS system seems to deliver clear footage day and night. The wide field of view and built-in GPS are also big pluses, and the 5.8GHz Wi-Fi makes pulling footage to your phone quick and easy.
Setup is straightforward, though a few reviewers (and I’d agree) noted that the rear camera cable could be a bit easier to tuck away. Some also point out that 30 fps in 4K is the limit, but the clarity more than makes up for it.
The price point is definitely on the higher side, but you’re getting strong value for what you pay: dual true-4K, quality sensors, GPS, and solid build quality. And if you grab it during a Black Friday sale, it becomes an even better buy.
A dash cam is one of those things you set and forget, but are invaluable when you need it most. I even swap my rexings into rental vehicles when I can. If you are ever in an accident, it could be your word against theirs without proof, and Rexing delivers that proof, clearly and reliably.

I have 2 other dash cams by Rexing for my other two vehicles and I’ve been using the R88 now for a few days and I like it a lot! The picture is crystal clear, I can see cars and license plates perfectly, even at night. My husband installed it pretty quickly and he said it was pretty simple. I love that it turns on automatically when I start my car. I like that it’s small and doesn’t block my view, but the screen is still larger than on my other models and shows everything clearly. It works every time I drive and hasn’t given me any problems. So far it’s a great dash cam and I’m very happy with it! Highly recommend :)

I’ve been using the Rexing R88 for a couple of weeks and I’m very happy with it. The front and rear cameras both record in 4K and the video quality is excellent, even at night. I tested it in a dark parking lot and could still make out license plates clearly. Setup was easier than I expected, and once installed it looks clean and doesn’t get in the way. The WiFi and GPS are super convenient because I can just connect my phone to review clips without pulling out the memory card.
The interface is simple and the touchscreen makes it easy to adjust settings quickly. The GPS overlay with speed and location is also helpful when going back through footage. The overall build quality feels solid and the design is discreet enough that it doesn’t draw attention. I haven’t needed it for an accident yet, but just knowing it’s recording every drive gives me peace of mind. Definitely one of the better dash cams I’ve owned and well worth the price.

The Pros:
True Movie Quality: The dual 4K cameras, both front and back, really deliver. The video is so clear that you can pause and zoom in on faraway license plates or small details without any trouble.
Blazing-fast Wi-Fi: This is the first camera I’ve tried where the app runs smoothly. A 200MB video download in just 5-10 seconds, thanks to the 5.8GHz Wi-Fi, a big step up from older models.
Easy Setup: Installing the app and connecting the camera was simple and quick.
The Cons:
Power Cable: My main complaint is about the power source. The rear camera uses USB-C, but the front camera still needs a large cigarette lighter plug. In a newer car with mostly USB-C ports, I wish Rexing included a USB-C power cable so I wouldn’t have to search for a 12V socket.
Night Glare: At night, I saw some vertical streaks and light bleed from streetlights and oncoming cars, especially on the front camera. This makes license plates hard to read until the car is closer and the camera adjusts to the light.
Overall, I’d rate it 4.5 stars if that were possible, and I would still recommend it to anyone looking for high-end protection.

I couldn’t be happier with the Rexing R88. The 4K front and rear cameras deliver unbelievably clear footage—day or night. The Sony STARVIS sensors pick up every detail, even in low light, and the wide-angle lenses give a full view of the road.
Setup was simple, and the 5.8GHz Wi-Fi makes it super easy to review or download clips on my phone. I also love the built-in GPS that logs speed and location automatically—no extra accessories needed.
Parking mode and the G-sensor give me peace of mind when the car’s parked, and the high-temperature resistance is perfect for New England weather.
Overall, this dash cam checks every box: quality, reliability, and ease of use. If you want a dual 4K system that truly delivers, the Rexing R88 is worth every penny!

I just had the Rexing R88 4K Dual Dash Cam installed in my car, and I have to say I’m really impressed. The 4K video quality from both the front and rear cameras is outstanding—license plates, street signs, and road details are all super sharp, even at night thanks to the Sony STARVIS sensors. The wide 170° view also does a great job covering blind spots.
The 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi makes pulling clips off the camera really easy with the app, so I don’t have to mess with taking out the microSD card every time. It also comes packed with useful features like GPS, parking mode, loop recording, and a G-sensor that automatically locks footage during an impact.
The only tricky part was the installation. Running the cables for both cameras took a bit of work, so I ended up paying about $50 to have it professionally installed, which was worth it for the clean setup. At around $400 it’s definitely pricier than your average dash cam, but if you want excellent video quality and full coverage, it feels like money well spent.
