I’ve been using Rexing dash cams for over 10 years, and the brand has always stood out for reliability, solid reputation, and excellent customer service. I’ve tried other brands, but Rexing has consistently delivered the best quality-to-price ratio, which is why I keep coming back. The new R88 is no exception—it’s one of the best dual dash cams I’ve owned. Video quality is the biggest highlight. The Sony STARVIS sensors give me sharp, detailed footage from both the front and rear cameras, day or night. License plates are easy to read, even in low light, and headlights or shadows don’t wash out the image. This is exactly what you want if you’re ever in an accident and need clear evidence. Features are very well thought out. GPS logging stamps speed, location, and time onto recordings, which is great for both accountability and security. The 5.8GHz Wi-Fi makes transferring video to my phone fast and much more convenient than pulling out the SD card. Parking mode is another strong feature—it provides peace of mind when my car is unattended, though it does require a proper hardwire setup. Build quality feels solid, as expected from Rexing. The front camera mounts firmly without vibration, and installation was straightforward. The rear camera works well, though I agree with other reviewers that the straight cable plug could be improved—it sticks out more than a right-angle connector would and can be harder to hide under trim. Performance-wise, the only other limitation is that recording maxes out at 30fps, even though both cameras can do 4K. For normal driving this is fine, but at higher speeds you might notice a little motion blur. Still, for the vast majority of situations, the clarity more than makes up for it. Price-wise, this isn’t the cheapest dash cam out there, but that’s never been Rexing’s goal. What you get instead is dependability, long-term support, and excellent quality for the price. In my experience, their devices last for years, and if you ever need help, Rexing’s customer service is responsive and easy to work with. If I could change one thing, it would be the cable design—the rear camera’s left-side connector goes straight in rather than at an upward angle, which makes it harder to hide cleanly under trim. It’s a small detail, but an angled plug would improve cable management. Bottom line: The R88 is a high-performing, dual 4K dash cam that checks all the boxes—great image quality, useful features, durable build, and reliable support behind it. After a decade of using Rexing, I can confidently say they continue to make some of the best dash cams on the market, and the R88 is one I would recommend without hesitation.

My wife and I have both been using Rexing cameras for at least a decade and have captured multiple accidents caused by other drivers—having that footage was invaluable in proving what really happened. Because of that, I’ll never own a vehicle without a Rexing dash cam installed again. Recently, a police officer we shared footage with noted that the video quality was higher than what their squad car cameras capture and asked me what brand of camera I was using. What a great third-party influence to keep us assured that Rexing remains leader in the dashcam business! In that instance and in many others, I was confident in recommending Rexing as a great dashcam solution. Their cameras are affordable, high-quality, look great installed, and are easy to use. In the product photos, you’ll notice the power is shown connected through the 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter) with another wire hidden behind the rearview mirror. I chose to hardwire my camera using the included hardwire kit. The Rexing Hardwire Kit included with the camera came with Mini fuse adapters, but my vehicle (2025 Ford Explorer ST) uses Micro2 fuses, so I picked up the Rexing Fuse Tap and Add-a-Circuit Adapter set (includes LP-mini, Mini, and Micro2 blade fuse adapters) for $9.99 from Rexing. After initially setting up the cameras, I couldn’t wait to explore and get them setup, so I used the 12V power outlet until the new adapter was delivered. Once I swapped in the Micro2 adapter, the hardwire kit fit perfectly into my fuse box. I have a multimeter on hand that was helpful selecting the fuses to tap into for the ACC and B+ (constant power) wires. Make sure to select fuses that don’t power safety equipment or critical vehicle systems just in case. I was particularly careful not to tap into anything related to the BlueCruise self drive feature of our vehicle. Hiding the power wires for each camera was straightforward in our vehicle, fortunately I found a Youtube video detailing how to hide the wires on our vehicle. Adjusting the camera settings was a breeze, really there wasn’t much adjustment needed. One tip—make sure your rear camera isn’t mounted upside down before sticking it to the windshield! I made that mistake initially, but the adhesive came off cleanly with no residue, making detaching and flipping the camera over an easy fix. I’ve included a photo of the orientation of the rear camera when correctly installed. This was in the instructions, but I got a little ahead of myself. Both cameras look great installed on our vehicle. The front camera tucks nicely behind the rearview mirror so it doesn’t interfere with the drivers view of the road. And the rear camera isn’t large enough to interfere with the view out the back at all. Connecting to the Rexing app over Wi-Fi was seamless, and transferring footage worked flawlessly and much quicker than I anticipated given the 4K quality. Very happy with this new camera from Rexing, once again they've improved upon an already great product and have done so at a competitive price. Thanks Rexing for keeping an eye on us while on the road for so many years!

Another great Rexing dashcam, this time 4k video both front and rear. Came with 128 GB microSD card. Also a Smart Hardwire Kit is included, which I've not installed yet, but considering installing it. Removed my old dashcam, and installed the new one in about 30 minutes. You can playback the recordings on the nice display, or a computer/device that takes the SD card. You can also turn on it's WIFI and view recordings from another device this way.
