The dash cam installation was quick, but note that both ends of the connector are C type, the correct end has to be plugged into the front camera or the rear camera wont finction. The image is clear and the stability is good. I recommend this dash cam.

I have owned and tested numerous products from Rexing. Only had issues with one, and they quickly replaced it, and I have had no issues (4+ years ago). The R88 is a nice upgrade from most as it differs by recording in 4K in the front AND back. Two things I liked right away from this versus previous models. It came with an SD card AND the hard wire kit instead of just the cigarette lighter power adapter (which is also included), but it does have a potential issue for you, as it did me. The only two issues I had with it, and why I knocked off a star, are: 1. The hardwire kit comes with "Mini" fuse taps. If you have a standard sized fuse, Micro 2(in the case of my daughters Kia) or one of the other sizes then it will not work as it is. The fuse taps are connected via bullet connectors so they can be pulled off and swapped with other leads that have the correct size, but why they don't provide them in the box is beyond me. I had to order a set off Amazon to replace and finish the install. So, that added 2 days to the install. 2. All other products from Rexing I had received before had a nice size 2-sided orange panel tool. Again, they went cheap and had a really tiny 1-sided tool included. It would not work for me, and I had to go grab my old ones I kept from previous installs. All in all, it is a good product, with good specs, but it might require a better panel tool and different size fuse taps to complete the install. If you just plug it into the 12v plug in the car you won't have any issues, but I prefer a clean install and don't want wires hanging around.

It’s my 3rd Rexing dash cam. For my 18 years old nephew’s birthday gift. As a new driver, his 2018 Rov4. definitely needs a best dash cam to protect him when accident happens.

This is my second Rexing dash cam. My first is now about 6 years old and still works fine. This R88 dash cam was purchased for another vehicle I own and I absolutely love this unit. The video quality and screen resolution of this unit is excellent. It’s easy to operate and the WiFi and iPhone App work really well too. The fact that this unit comes with a removable 128GB memory card and a hardwire kit is a bonus, however I chose to purchase the OBD2 diagnostic port power harness to make installation even easier!

Sometimes simpler is better. Only front and rear cameras but both have excellent picture quality. I've had many Rexing Dash Cams and I feel this is the best one yet. Simple to setup. Easy touch control on screen to access whatever settings are needed. For most people, the front/rear camera will be sufficient. If you need an in-cabin camera option, then this isn't for you. Spend the extra and get great quality video with ease of use.

Amazing camera! I upgraded from my Rexing V1 HD to this 4K camera and the image is so much clearer! The V1 served me well for over 8 years and even saved me from a likely 50/50 fault collision when a guy pulled out in front of me and I rear-ended him. This camera is worth the price, as it comes with both the front and rear cameras as well as the 128 GB microSD card and the impeccable picture quality, even at night. Set up is easy and the cables fit snugly into my door trim along the top of the interior. 10/10 camera, would buy again.

A great upgrade to our new car. I wish every car came with this. Everything was included set up was easy. Picture is super clear. Our other car had a rexing also and that paid for it self with proof of what happened to the car. A must for any driver. Save yourself from tickets and accident he said she said because you have proof

I’ve been using this dash cam for a while now, and I’m really happy with it. The front and rear video quality is super clear, even at night, which honestly surprised me. Setup was easy and everything I needed was included. The app works smoothly, and downloading clips over Wi-Fi is super convenient. One feature I really like is the parking mode — once it’s hardwired, it keeps recording any movement or impact while the car is off, which gives me peace of mind. GPS tracking is also nice since it adds speed and location to the footage. If I had to pick something to improve, the cable routing can be a bit of a hassle if you want it perfectly hidden. Other than that, it’s been solid and definitely worth it.

This is my favorite camera I've ever used. I have so many car projects and if I tap into my backup light wiring one more time its going to disintegrate. This unit plugs into the car via one included USB C 12 adapter, from there a generous length of heavy duty USB C cable that you run through the interior of the car, and then... well that's it! There is also an very nice included hard wire kit that has a tap-a-fuse for battery and a separate one for accessory signal, there is also a ground that you can just attach to a grounded nut nearby. The rear camera is is the best I've used. Usually get 2k or 4k on the front camera and then 1080p. This unit comes with a full 4k rear camera with a great sensor. I have 5% tint on my rear windshield this camera sees through it no problem at night. One snag I hit was on the rear camera. I just plugged in the cable without reading the labels on it. You need to plug the end that say dashcam to dashcam and the other end to the rear camera. The USB type C clicks in securely so it wont get yanked loose. The WIFI is 5GHz, which is an important feature. Not only does it cut down on 2.4 GHz interference but it speeds up the responsiveness of the connection to the Rexing app. You can set up 24hr monitoring for impact and motion detection. The touchscreen is large and responsive. One thing I like is that there is a speaker so you can hear audio when reviewing footage on the dashcam itself. The included SD Card is plenty fast and large enough for lots of video history. You get GPS recording without having to run a separate antennae. The camera angle of 170 degree is no lie - it catches everything. You get everything included in one box and super simple installation with no skills or knowledge needed. If you have friends or family with a car with no camera suggest or gift this unit. Would definitely recommend for anyone.

I really enjoy this camera. It has what i need from it. Maybe the brightness to see license plates abit further would be nice but overall for the price it works great! Would recommend to others

I have owned quite a few Rexing Dash Cams and they keep getting better as they come out with new designs. Overall this is a great camera with a few things to note. Positives: - Image quality of the recordings is amazing even in low light. - overall an easy to navigate menu and setup process. - a lot if great features built in, GPS, WiFi, and touch screen. - the included memory card is great to get started right out of the box. Other Considerations: - I do wish it had a removable mount option, once its installed you can't remove it if you want to clean the windshield behind it or use it in another car. - I wish the lens was more center on the unit, it makes placement a little tough if you have any obstructions to the left of your mounting location, such as shrouding for in car cameras and safety devices. - I wish the lens had a little more adjustment or the mount had a little more adjustment to help if you have to have it off center or need to tilt it a little more because of you windshield. Overall its a great dash cam and it is packed with some great features.

Long time user of Rexing dashcams but it was time for the upgrade to 4K. Let me start out by saying the quality from both cameras is excellent. The video in both day and night is very clear and records everything going on. It's a little pricey but you know what they say, you get what you pay for. Additionally, the camera has GPS functionality which both overlays your speed into the video, and your coordinates, so there is no second guessing your location or speed. Optionally you can define a tag to display, such as your license plate or vehicle number (think fleet vehicles). The Wi-Fi functionality works good for a quick review or to live stream the camera while setting it up, but for the best experience I'd recommend pulling the SD card and reviewing on a computer. Included is a 128gb SD card which is a pretty good value in todays age. Included in the box is 2 fuse taps and a box to convert that to USB C for hardwiring, or a standard 12v lighter style adapter. I chose to hardwire. Included in the box is standard fuse size (ATO) so if your car uses a different fuse style you may need to buy additional fuse taps. In my case my car uses Micro2. Additionally, the wire for the included tap is only just long enough for my Hyundai Kona to run from the interior fuse box to the camera and be hidden, so if you drive a larger vehicle you may need a USB extension.

I have an a Rexing R316 in my truck and had a really good experience with it. This R88 blows the R316 away. The build quality feels much better with the R88. The video looks much more crisp then the R316. I also love the touchscreen. One of the things I disliked about the previous Rexing cameras was remember what button did what. No problems with navigating this touchscreen. I need more time with this particular camera, but there are two concerns. First, I don't believe the back camera has infrared. The videos I recorded in a parking garage are pretty dark that it there may be issues with the parking monitor picking up anything worthwhile when it is dark out. Second, the specs say suction mount... Both the front and back camera are sticker. I really liked the R316 windshield suction mount. This windshield one, you cannot remove the camera. It made it much easier removing the SD card with the suction mount. However my main concern is how to use my sunshield if I cannot remove the camera. I feel it will just fry in the AZ sun. But I know their customer service is great so I have 18 mos to see if it can withstand the sun. Also, it's great they provide a 128gb card, however that gives me about a day of recording. It's definitely worthwhile to buy a 256gb card.

We are using this in our 2017 Lexus GX. It fits well behind the rear view mirror to hide from driver's perspective. The hardwire option was easy to figure out using the auto-dimming rear view mirror power.

Been using the R88 for a bit now, always used Rexing products and stayed up to date with them. Because of this, install was super easy - just swap out the old unit and rerun the cable to the rear camera since it was a different connection (USB-C instead of an aux plug). Super simple. If you haven't been using Rexing products, they provide a simple AC adapter to get you instantly running, and also a way to easily hardwire it to your car (which I prefer). What originally struck me about this unit was the display (and Sony camera) is REALLY nice. Like it doesn't feel like a dashcam camera. Also, the camera (physical unit and actual recorded area) seems wider, which I initially wasn't sure about, but I actually like it a lot. It sits better on your windshield. It also seems to render sunrise/sunset a lot better and provide a much better overall picture, compared to every other camera I've ever used. So I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great dashcam!

I bought this dash cam to replace my old one. The biggest impression of this product is the video quality. My old dash cam has front view only and the resolution is also 4k, but this new model makes clearer and smoother videos especially during the night time. I guess the STARVIS technology contributes a lot. I like the bigger touch screen of the this new model as well. Everything can be viewed and controlled on the touch screen, providing my vehicle a modernized feature and look. The rear camera helps back up the vehicle. I can easily and safely back up my car from a parking lot or on the road by watching the screen. The hardwire kit provides another great feature to detect motions and auto record in the parking lot. I personally prefer an OBD power supply, since it is much easier to install. However, this kit can spare the OBD port for another device requiring it. Everything is good by far. Will continue exploring the features of this new product.

Installation was fairly easy for installing on my 2017 Honda Pilot. Images look great for front and rear. Still learning all capabilities but very happy with purchase thus far. Would suggest installing in warmer temps vs 30degree if installing outdoors.

i am only 10 days into trying out the new Rexing R88 and so far i am loving it. The GPS and Speed features are both new for me (i have been using Rexing Dash Cams for 10+ years now and love all of them) This is the largest one i have owned which i wish could be slightly smaller but is the also the most feature rich. It heats up quick which concerns me for long term life but i will make a future note if any issues occur being their newest line!
