I bought this to take pictures on construction job sites. Needed something somewhat rugged and water resistant. I works okay. My biggest compalint is that the picture looks great when you take it in the camera, but when you load it to a computer, the quality is not as sharp as I had hoped. So, just be aware of that. I have not submerged it, so I cannot speak to that aspect of this camera. But I'm not to the point that I wished I had gone with a different product.

We are very impressed with the picture quality. We bought this to use sea side on our vacation so we needed a good underwater camera that still affordable. This camera is good enough to replace our normal day to day camera. Easy to use. We got the bright orange one so I could see it in low lighting when I drop it later on. We are replacing a Nikon coolpix s33 which is no longer sold anywhere.

If you are looking solely for a camera that can get wet or survive a job site, this is such a camera. But if you plan to take your photography skills beyond what is possible with the camera on your phone then you will have to look at other options. It worked decently enough in sunny, outdoor environments with close range, stable shots. But if you introduce artificial light, distances beyond 15 ft, dark/light contrast, shadowy/overcast conditions, or action shots then the entire image will either be grainy or indiscernible despite camera setting combo. Was excited to push this into a trip camera role, but ended up returning it. I had a small camera from 15 years ago, for a 1/3 the price do way better in all of these conditions (apart from being water proof)

I was happy the the performance and quality of the video and pictures. That being said i took this camera with me to hawaii, i didnt get to use it longer than 1.5 hrs. The battery door design should be fixed or revamped...while in the ocean the door to the battery just came open and fried the entire camera. Im very unhappy with the design of the battery door it ruined part of my vacation, it took 3 days for me to find another waterproof camera..so i lost 3 days worth of video and photos time in hawaii. Very disappointed.

Excellent heavy duty and waterproof camera, perfect to use it at our warehouse for cargo pics.

The Ricoh WG-6 20 MP Waterproof Digital Camera was a great replacement for our old underwater camera. It has 4 times the resolution and the front six element flash does a much better job at cutting through the murky water. Its menu functions are standard so setup is easy.

Camera is slightly larger than anticipated by fits well in pockets. Used while kayaking this past weekend and, except for background glare, the images were stable, clear and colorful. A little exaggeration of the color RED but can adjust with camera settings.

Nice camera for me to take on my vacations, it has all the options that I was looking for
