Replacing my worn-out vinyl collection, this one sounds great ! Took me back to my teenage years when I heard this album for the first time. All original packaging, inner sleeve has song lyrics and band photos.

I've always loved this album, and have an original pressing of it. But I always thought it could have sounded better. Then I heard "Ride the Lightning" was being re-released and remasterd from the original analog tapes. I had my doubts, but gave it a shot. I was NOT disappointed! The bass has more punch, and the the highs are so much more crisp. Great stereo separation as well. It's everything that was great about the original album and more. It also came with the MP3 download as well, which was an added bonus. I totally recommend this release, as well as the re-release of "Kill 'em All".

Some of Metallica’s best songs and the packaging was great. It came with an anti static sleeve off the shelf and the vinyl sounds clear with a low sound floor. I really enjoy this LP

This review is for the 2016 reissue of the 1984 Ride The Lightning album. I still have the 1984 version, and it is one of my favorite Metallica albums (with Master of Puppets and Kill "Em All). In this reissue, the sound quality is excellent (it is a 180gm), and it came with the lyrics and photos as the original pressing. A must buy along with Master of Puppets and Kill 'Em All.

I'm not going to review this album for what's on it. It's one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time... but as far as the way it sounds, it's amazing. They really remastered this well, And the clarity of the album is awesome. I've heard this record a million times, and hearing it on vinyl was a whole new experience. This is a must own for any metalheads vinyl collection.

This item was missing on my Metallica vinyl collection. I didn't want to pay big dollar for a first press and am happy with this reissue. Some might complain of the sound of this production but to me is perfectly find and decent, no complains about it.

Great playing vinyl for any priced turntable. Whether you are just getting into vinyl since it is on the rise again or you have your original, this is a fantastic album. A+ sound quality and who doesn't want to listen to Metallica on the purest form aside from seeing them live!

Ride the lightning and Master of puppets are the best Metallica albums IMO. If you've never heard RTL, you owe it to yourself to get it. There's nothing special about the sleeve or record itself, but you buy it for the music anyway! Great sound and quality.

I chose to revisit this classic album by Metallica by purchasing vinyl, it seems it has been remastered for the now again popular media. I do like that its a thicker but doesnt state the typical 180 Gram weight. Played flawlessly the first time and beyond.
