Best headphones for long gaming sessions

One of the primary reasons for buying these headphones was it was bundled with Dolby All Access, which allows Dolby Atmos for headphones on the Xbox for free. (I would purchase after experiencing the difference it makes) The headphones are light and extremely comfortable with great sound, both in game and for music. It’s a good sound profile with perfect bass that’s not overpowering. The headphones breathe, so there is no heat or sweat for long sessions and allows you to hear if someone needs to get your attention or if your dog is doing something it’s not supposed to. (Your significant other doesn’t need to know though) Its not important to me, but the mic is clear and cuts out most of the normal ambient noises. I’ve also dropped, stepped and been rough enough that other headphones would have broken. These are durable!

Ive only been using these rigs for a few days so far on my Xbox One S and so far love them! They sound great, are super comfy for my big size head, and the mic is great as well even one of my friends told me it doesn't echo that often or at all. I have tried and used the really expensive Astro and Hyper X headsets but it seems the more budget friendly ones are actually all I needed because they are just basic in all the right ways a casual gamer like me needs. Highly recommend

Even though this headset is not the newest model I absolutely love it. It is super comfortable and light weight. It has excellent sound with Dolby Atmos on console. I prefer wired vs wireless to remove the pops you get with wireless. The mic is also good, and can be removed if needed. You can adjust the height of the ear muffs within 3 settings. I mainly use this headset for Xbox since you cannot use a USB headset and have to use a 3.5mm jack. The volume could be a little louder as you will most likely be using it on the max setting.

Didn’t want to get garbage for my 10 year old to play fortnight. Cords and plastic are durable and I fee can last a while. Got them on sale and got the warranty in case they break. Two years of coverage should hopefully be enough. They plug into Xbox one controller easily enough and there’s an Atmos app to load. I think it costs money for extra Atmos sound feature for movies....works fine without paying.

Great headset for the price. It is very comfortable for the price and sound quality is not the sacrifice. I can not find any compromises on this headset other than it being wired. If you’re seeking a wireless headset though look no further, it’s bigger brother the 800lx is just as good but wireless. Definitely worth the price if you’re looking for a budget headset. Also comes with a bonus Dolby atmos code that helps track footsteps in multiplayer games, giving you a more immersive experience.

I bought these for my new Xbox One. Pros: + light weight + Dolby Atmos support + Easy adjustable headband + Removable mic boom + Stay in place on your head Cons: - ear cups are small and tend to bunch my ears - 40 mm drivers aren't the biggest, but still sound good

    Wonderful Budget Headset

Disclaimer-I DID purchase this headset on sale for $29.99, down from the original $49.99 price point. Put simply, there is no better xbox gaming headset in this price range. Even at the full price, you would be hard pressed to find a headset with better audio. Additionally, the Rig has a deceptively sturdy build quality. The fact that there is a code for Dolby Atmos on either xbox or windows 10 included in the box pushes the value even further. As far as sound, there is great balance between the mids, bass, and highs. It is not quite the quality you would get from a $200 headset, however, while playing it is more than adequate. The Mic sound quality is excellent, and the mic itself is completely detachable, which is a wonderful feature to have if you are someone that frequently likes to store your headsets away. My only (minor) gripe about the rig is the fact that it only has three slots that you can change for the size of the person wearing it. If you have the opportunity, it may be a good idea to try one on to see if it works for you. However, for the vast majority of people, you will likely find that the positions are more than adequate. If you are in the market for a gaming headset, and not just for a budget one, the RIG 400HX should be high on your list.

Nice headset so far with decent, but not amazing, comfort and good sound. The controls are not ideal for gaming while changing the volume and mute, but nice to have controls. Wish it had the ability to control chat/game volume separately but it would need more than just a headphone jack attachment most likely to add that function. Overall great headset for the price.

I have owned a few headsets in my day and for these to be wired stereo headsets I m thoroughly impressed. Great sound. Dolby Atmos card included so you can experience that. Great for hearing footsteps, immersion and just all around sound. The quality of the headset leaves room for improvement however they fit comfortable on the head with or without glasses (I wear glasses). Plastic feel over but then again for the price what do you expect? They feel sturdy and are even adjustable so you still get some options even with a smaller price tag. Wouldn't recommend these as a music headset however they don't pretend to be made for that purpose. Looking for an inexpensive headset that provides solid quality and great sound? These are the buy.

Tried the Turtle Beach wireless but the plastic broke after two months. Selected the RIG400 and it is a much better product. It has good sound quality and the fit is very good. The plastic is sturdy so no worries there.

Mediocre, pretty cheap plastic. Probably get a better quality from a different brand. The sound quality is decent though and the foam around the ear is pretty good.

Excellent value! I can't believe how well these work. The Dolby Atmos makes all the difference with CS:GO on Windows 10. You can actually hear the direction of footsteps coming towards you. I bought these for my son for Christmas but I'm getting another one for myself. Very comfortable fit, too.

This is a very comfortable, functional headset. Earcups feel great, mic is decent, and sound is fine. Could be a little louder as there is no noise cancelling whatsoever. Any sounds going on around you, you'll hear at normal volume

If you do any FPS online gaming, then you should get a headset of this quality or better. Your KDR will improve with better audio. I resisted spending the money for a long time. But even a low-end cost headset is worth it.
