I love the ability to use this product via the 3mm headphone jack but with high usage, the connection began to crackle to the point of having to maneuver the cord until the connection was restored. This product provides comfortable ear cups for hours of endless gaming. Can be adjusted to fit many head sizes. Mic can be unhooked for regular headphone usage.

Pros: light weight, comfortable, great sound, Dolby, easy to set up, cool volume control knob on the plug (also a con), clean mic. Liked them better than the A10s.
Cons: very clunky and bulky, the control knob is very cheap - definitely needs to be built better, I see the knob breaking. Mic echos sometimes because of the knob.

Best gaming head phones so far. Always had a problem with longevity and sound quality. This head phone so far works well after a long while and the Mic and sound are good, and won't break the bank.

These headsets are probably the best kind of headset I've had so far. My 2 older pairs of turtlebeache xo seven pros started to crack on either side due to stress of the band opening up and putting it on my head. This headset is built very differently and the band is entirely separate thing. You can take off the ear cups entirely from the band and everything is so comfy to wear. Even wearing glasses this headset is comfy. The mic is pretty good too and you just push it up right and it makes a small click that turns off the mic and then push it downwards and it clicks again to turn on. I haven't really heard a difference much with the dolby atmos app but its a free $15 app that you can have for forever. The is a overrall great headset if you're looking for a wired headset under 100 honestly. Also works just fine on my laptop.

As a gamer that needs to wear prescription glasses to see, it was a struggle to find a headset that would fit comfortably on my head and not cause me any pain after an hour of use. Did my research on these and found fellow glasses-wearers also recommended them, and they're right - they are extremely comfortable. I can wear them for hours and even forget they're on my head. Surround-sound is excellent and the padding helps to drown out outside sounds.
My only complaint, however, is the jack that plugs into the controller easily pops out with a simple tug, and so I end up disconnecting from chats on accident. Because of this, as well, since it is not plugging in snuggly, you sometimes get unbalanced sound (sound in one ear, not the other) and have to be sure to press it back in if this happens. This is with and without the rubber nib that is made to fit snuggly on your controller.
I have had this headset for just about a year this month, though, and it still holds up like it's brand new from the box. I'd certainly recommend this to people, especially gamers that need to wear glasses (prescription or special-use glasses).

So I recently purchased these cause I wanted to utilize the most of xbox and 4k tv. Knowing that the Xbox has dolby atmos, I wanted to get headphones that would use that. Had been looking around and most were really expensive, until I happened to be at a store and saw these on sale.
So setting them up is easy. Everything works as specified in the instructions. It even comes with a code to use dolby atmos for headphones. The build quality is pretty good. Everything feels sturdy. The mic bends which is a nice feature. The headband takes a little getting used to as it stretches on your head to adjust to fit, which sometimes isn't the most comfortable if you don't find that right spot. BUT the position of the ear cups and the head band can be adjusted (just figured that out yesterday). Also there is a volume control knob right where it plugs into your controller which is an amazing addition.
As far as the cups though in terms of comfort I will compare them to my Bose QC35 headphone. Unlike the QC35's you may have trouble getting the cups around your ears. Also you may have issue with background noise as these are not noise cancelling and don't sit tightly around your ears. The sound quality is pretty good, but it could be better. It does struggle a bit with loud explosions like your may be afraid for them to ruin the headset. Just turn the volume down and you should be okay.
In all i would say these are pretty good for the price. If you can afford it go with the Rig 800 Pro or the equivalent Astro headset. But if you can look past some of the stuff i mentioned these are great for the price. Also disclaimer, I only bought these to test the dolby atmos and wasn't gonna spend more money on an expensive headset just to do that. But I was pleased with my results and decided to keep these headphones.

Absolutely love these. These are much more comfortable than the Turtle Beach ones I have. Can where for hours with no issue. They are very lightweight. Sounds great. These are designed to allow sound from the outside in so if you are in a noisy environment you may want to consider that. It is nice to not have to take my headphones off everytime someone speaks to me. Very happy with my purchase.

I have to admit that I am not a gamer and these are for my son who plays x box, way more than he should. These replaced an old turtle beach headset and he couldn't be more happy. The sound is amazing, according to him, and the comfort level is great, he does not complain about them being on his head for a long period of time. The mic mute by lifting the mic is a nic touch. A little pricey for my taste, but he enjoys them and that's all that matters

This was a great choice - I was trying to find good quality at a mid range price and this headset delivered. I also like that I have a volume knob at the controller which makes it easy to adjust while loading screen or on the fly being shot at. The flip up mic is great and I like that I can replace parts and not have to throw it out and pay for another headset replacement. This is a solid choice.

These sound very clear. And are comfortable. I think that’s worth 4 stars. However I wish there was a bit more bass. Also not a big fan of having to flip the mic up to mute. I’d prefer a button near the controller.

The sound on this head set is pretty good. Could use a touch more bass tho. The fit could use a little work too. After an hour or so, it starts to hurt the lower part or your ear. Probably due to the seam inside the ear pocket. I think if they were more rounded they would have a much more comfortable fit. Also, the first set i got had to go back. The pot (volume control knob) crackled to the point if being half muted on one channel. Brought it back and got another set, and they are better. Maybe save up a bit longer and get better set. Still ok for the money i guess...

Caveats to this review - I'm sure there are nicer headsets out there but for someone who is not a professional gamer and is used to more basic stuff these are fantastic!
Most of my gaming is either with my kids but as an old school gamer I still do a fair amount of single player stuff in my free time. If I am using a headset it is almost always because I'm trying to keep the volume down or to drown out background noise while I play. I have a Turtle Beach headset from a few years ago that is decent but nothing special. I saw this headset and was curious about the Dolby Atmos functionality of it. After some online research I decided to give it a shot since you can preview the Dolby Atmos app on the Xbox One. This headset absolutely blew the Turtle Beach set I have, as well as the Skullcandy Hesh 3 headphones, out of the water. I tried all three with the same preview sample videos and the difference in sound quality and clarity was extremely noticeable and impressive. If you are reading this review trying to decide if you should get them, go for it! They are comfortable and the improvement is well worth the money spent.

This headset has so far been one of my favorites compared to some other wired headsets. First, the material of the headset is made of tough plastic and the ear cups are soft and very comfy around the ears. Second, the sound quality; honestly, is amazing. Dolby Atmos option calls for some intense sounds when watching or playing Dolby Atmos Entertainment. Will work for PS4 and XB1 and comes with different adapters for that. Overall yes it's a very good headset, my only negative for it that it does give feedback when you are charging your controller when in chat.

This is a great headset. My son loves it, says it has awesome quality. He loves the lift to mute on the microphone. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the Dolby app that we had to download was a bit difficult to sync with the device. Also, we didn't know that we had to also order a connector to connect to his controller. This took a good week for me to figure out. So, if you have yours connected straight to the controller and don't have any audio, it is probably because you need to get the connector also. Otherwise, a great buy.

Excellent Sound Quality, Fits great and is very comfortable! Mic breaks very easy to where it doesn't sit still for long if you move it to the mute position, and I do wish I had gone with Wireless because when watching a movie and I don't want my kids hearing the TV I have to turn on my wireless controller in order to have the Headset working, when the controller auto turns off from inactivity I'll lose the sound until I turn it back on.
