We understand where you are coming from, as this isn't the experience we want our customers to have. The Ring Floodlight - Solar is intended to provide our users with genuinely useful service. Please know we hear your concern and are here to help.

If you haven't already, please ensure the plug to your solar panel is securely inserted into your Ring Floodlight device. Oftentimes, we find that an improper connection prevents the device from solar charging.

Additionally, please ensure that your Ring batteries are fully charged. The Ring Solar Panel is intended to supplement your Ring batteries with power. They will not charge from 0 to 100 percent while on solar alone.

If it is working intermittently, try relocating your Ring Bridge, as this might improve the connectivity and overall function of the lights. It sounds like the device is not functioning as expected. The Ring Smart Lighting Solar Floodlight is an ultra-bright motion-sensing smart dual-head floodlight that illuminates large areas with powerful adjustable lights. The Ring Smart Lighting Solar Floodlight is designed with customizable motion settings that give you the ability to adjust them to suit your environment.

Tap on the "Motion Settings" tile for access to the motion detection controls and settings. Your motion control settings are where you'll adjust the distance at which motion will turn your smart lights on. There are two controls on this panel:
Manual On/Off: This control turns your motion detector on or off.
Motion Sensitivity: This control has four levels that will determine how sensitive your motion detection will be. Try adjusting this control if you find you are receiving too many false alarms or not enough motion alerts. We have listed the three settings here:
Low: Try this setting if the light is turning on too often.
Medium is the default setting, which is ideal for most setups.
High: Monitor the largest possible area with the most sensitivity.
Custom: When “Custom” is chosen, a slider will appear, allowing you to customize the motion sensitivity level.

Hello,

We know how important it is to light up the area you are trying to protect. The Ring Floodlight - Solar is intended to do just that. With adjustable light settings, you should be able to increase the brightness on your device. Rest assured, we are here to help.

To increase the brightness on your Solar Floodlight, please follow these steps:

1. Open the Ring app.
2. Select the menu in the upper left corner.
3. Tap on 'Devices' and select your light group containing your Floodlight.
4. Select your Floodlight.

From this page you'll see a slider to adjust the brightness on your device. Slide towards the 'Brighter' side to increase the brightness.

You can also adjust the physical lights on your device. Try to aim them in the directions needed the most light.
