This spotlight camera is exactly what we needed!!

We chose this camera because we could add it to our current ring account. This camera was super easy to install and connect to our home wi-fi. Within minutes we had uploaded this camera to our ring account. The picture is clear and in color. At night the camera has a flood light that comes on quickly. With our ring account we are able to keep recordings as long as we want. I would recommend this item to anyone wanting an additional camera.

It was purchased as a battery and converted to wired. The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus wired has better controls and I configured it to not use the lights to protect the neighbors windows. The night vision is excellent for the monitoring that I expected. The power supply failed within a week and Ring Customer Service went through the process of verifying and shipped a replacement power supply the next day.

It has a fish eye and can decently covers the area. Night vision is also good. I'm not sure if the software can detect and zoom in face without pixilation! May be one will appreciate if they had a bad experience with any other bad products.

But I ended up not keeping both because I was gifted a Camera and so I only intended on using one anyway! Both of my returns were unopened unused. I already have these some of these types of cameras up around my home so I can give a review on the ones that I purchased at an earlier date and installed. These are wonderful cameras they’re very easy to install. You can zoom in , love these cameras they do everything you expect out of a camera

I’ve been a loyal customer and bought several Ring cameras in August 2024. All worked fine except the Spotlight Cam Plus OUTDOOR, which stops working whenever it rains or gets too cold. I have to unplug and plug it back in every time, and since it’s installed high up, it’s a huge hassle. When I brought it back to the store, they refused to exchange it, saying it wasn’t a defect—even though I bought the 4-Year Geek Squad Replacement and the camera was less than a month old. They just told me to call Ring customer service instead. This is not what I expected after paying for extra protection. Very disappointed.
