The little notches that stick out to make it connect to the other wedges create a small gap between the ring pro and the wedge. This gap makes the minuscule screw barely have a thread that will reach the ring. The plastic is so brittle when I screwed the wedge into my wall it cracked making the screw pop down to the wedge below it. Hard to describe without seeing how it works. I got it to work and it does what’s intended but what should be a no brainer install was made incredibly fiddley and difficult. Lastly the longest screws to accommodate the three wedges are not long enough to reach my wall because whoever installed the ring initially put the screws into the mortar and that tiny dip made it where the screws won’t reach. So I had to only use 2 of the wedges. I’m now going to hunt for a longer screw so I can actually use all 3 wedges. Not impressed at all and it makes me wonder if the one made by ring is better. It was branded as if ring made it - the bag at least but I was told ring does not make this in white so I don’t think it’s actually made by ring.

I purchased the Wedge Kit to ensure I had the necessary camera angle and it worked perfectly.

It works, with some modification

So I bought this one. This must be an older model. To make it work, I had to shave down some tabs and the back of one of the screw slots. It works great.

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ordered one and it came opened and missing parts, obviously from a return. got another one and didn't notice any difference in the sensitivity of the ring doorbell even though it was supposed to help since the doorbell kept tripping from street traffic as it is on an elevated porch. I would't suggest buying this and would just turn the sensitivity down on the doorbell in the settings, it won't trip until you physically hit the front step which is a little short for me but better than it going off 10 times a day from large cars or UPS and Amazon trucks passing through my neighborhood.
