You need get the rice turned off quickly, as the bottom tends to burn. The rice doesnt taste burned, as long as you get to it in a reasonable amount of time. Reasonable amount of time may vary. I would probably go for a more expensive model, but I may be a bit spoiled.

I bought the Rival Rice Cooker hesitantly. I was glad it happened that way, because I found this product better than my preferred brand. I got more than what I paid for. It cooks faster and it is easy to use.

The instructions could be a little easier to read. Basically, use the included cup to measure 1 cup of rice, then fill to the 1 line with water.
