Got rid of Dish and bought HD antenna and Roamio to record favorite shows. Works better than Dish dvr since it has 4 separate tuners so you can set to watch just shows you want, not all or nothing. Scheduling recordings is easy with variety of options. Skipping commercials on playback is not automatic but does beep and only the push of a button. Works well with Harmony 665 remote. Not cheap but there are no monthly fees. Payback is only 4 months.

Very easy to install and set up, as well as operate. Has lots of options and great layout for the on screen guide.

Finally able to cut the cord and can still pause live tv and record 4 shows at the same time.

Love this,item combined with 50 mile radius antenna. Get 40 channels. Always plenty to watch and so easy to record.

This is a great device. It does everything I expected. My only complaint is how loud the fan is.

The Tivo Romio is very user friendly After purchasing one to try with our HD antenna, we purchased a 2nd one.

So far we are loving recording shows and not having to pay a monthly fee. The unit is working great.

Bought this unit just in time, as Dish is having trouble with the local NBC channel and we would miss some good programming. This purchase offers the ability to get free television programming with excellent quality resolution. We can now record 4 TV channels as well as watch Dish channels. The tuners offer the same OTA performance as my Sony TV's and include a signal diagnostic capability to peak antenna alignment for hard to receive local channels.

Great product. Does everything I needed it to do. Highly recommend if you’re going to cut the cord.

The Tivo - Roamio OTA 1TB Digital Video Recorder does everything I could have wanted and is easy to use.

The TiVo recorder is awesome. Just wish it came with directions on how to operate the functions. It only comes with directions on how to set it up, not how to use all its features. Best Buy offered free Geek Squad service to show how it works but when I tried to schedule an appointment I was told they couldn't help me with this particular device. Hmmmm.

I think it's worth the money. Easy to use. Recommend this for anyone looking for a recorder

The Tivio roamio OTA is great for recording your promgram's so you can watch them on your own time.

Good for basic streaming apps but unable to download more apps like Netflix

I installed an antenna in my attic with TiVo box. I absolutely love the ability to have a program guide and stream Netflix and Amazon Prine. The only thing that would make the box perfect would be the ability to stream SlingTV. I've heard people warn that it does not work with Samsung TVs, but that's not the case for me. I have a Samsung and I have had zero problems. Granted, I've only had it installed 2-weeks.

I was trying to remove myself from the expense of cable so decided to switch to and HD Antenna and this TIVO system. I also had to switch providers for my internet connection which is still required to work the TIVO. The new providers signal proved to not be strong enough to work both, so I had to return this product and go back to cable. If I ever move to another area that it might work better I would definitely try it again.

This is a tool that allows you to have your cake and eat it too. You can have great programming from your antenna for local stations and also have access to on line services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. We also use it to access Vudo. Everything is here and you can add what you want to pay for and better control you cost . A one time purchase is all you need and that is it unless YOU want to pay for more. Great choice!!
