I chose the "over the air" Tivo so I could record free TV signals. So far, it's worked great and the interactive guide is pretty simple. The only problem I've had is with the reception for CBS in my area. No problems with my product at all!

I've been using this for a couple of months now. It was simple to set up, easy to use, and is very intuitive. Setting up one time or recurring shows is simple and easy. The channel search during setup identified channels that our antennae doesn't pick up due to its orientation.. Nice to know that other channels are out there and available. It is easy to block the channels that it doesn't receive as well even though they may show up in the guide.

I really only watched non-local channels 20% of the time. I wanted to stop paying so much for so little in return but I needed to be able to record programs when I was not able to watch them live. Also, I needed to record more than one at a time. This unit is remarkable. It was easy to set up and easy (somewhat intuitive) to use. It has more recording space than my cable box had and it can record 4 programs at once (twice as many as I had with my cable company). The commercial skip for recorded programs is a delight. I've shown it off to my friends and relatives and they are all impressed. If you want to cut your cable bill this is a necessity in my opinion (oh and you'll need a good HD antenna too).

Got rid of satellite and the dvr that came with it. I am pleased because I can still record and play back later what I want. It also gave some unexpected options to pick up programs from various sources. We are happy with the purchase and that it came with the subscription for recording.

I am very impressed with the Tivo Interface and the Rovio TV guide. Bonus: When you search for titles , people etc, the Tivo searches both over the air listings as well as streaming services. I would recommend to all cord cutters. One down side is the streaming function is not as good as my Roku. I tested a few times and Tivo rebuffers intermittently. I suppose if you hard wire directly to Tivo the problem may go a way (I have not tested). It is no problem to me though because I just switch to Roku when I want to stream. I would give a 5 if the streaming was a little better on TiVo.

TIVO is very easy to set up and the one time service fee makes it very cost effective way to get TV if you get good reception with HD antenna. Of course you are limited to shows via antenna. I believe you can also download shows from the web. I have not done that.

I had to RMA my first one because after about a month the fan started making horrible noise. Same thing happened with the second one they sent. I ended up taking it apart and putting some lubricant in the fan and it has worked like a champ since.

Product facilitates OTA channel guide and recording a large number of programs. The remote can easily be programmed to operate your tv as well as the recording functions. Great for watching shows when I want to and skip over commercials - love this product!

I purchased my TiVo shortly after cutting my cable. Do to all the new shows this season and no DVR player from Verizon, I decided to try this DVR after reading the reviews. There are less expensive models, but I chose this one due to the hours it can record and no monthly fees. Almost forgot the commercial skip feature, instantly bypasses the commercials without having to fast forward through them. FANTASTIC

My mom uses OTA and wifi netflix. She really wanted a way to record her shows. The Roamio Tivo worked perfectly for this. It is easy to set up and easy to use. Best buy had a great price on it too.

I recently cut the cord, and was missing my DVR. I've had TiVo devices in the past. When I saw this one, that was specifically made for OTA antenna *AND* included lifetime service, I couldn't say no. As is normal for TiVo, setup was quick and easy. Can record 4 shows at once which is a nice bonus. You can't really go wrong with TiVo in general, and this specific model in particular. Just be aware that this model is ONLY for OTA antenna signal and CAN'T be used with cable.

Better than I hoped! The guide can be customized. The rewind/forward is smooth and excellent to use. The skip feature makes watching a recorded program a breeze. I cut the cord years ago, but didn't have a good DVR like this and wasn't able to record series with options similar to cable.. I went back to cable about 7 years ago. Now I am ready to go another 12 years without a cable bill. With no monthly Tivo bill, even better. I did opt to add Hulu incase reception on a recorded show was poor. (ABC channel sometimes is poor if skies are clear) Really happy with TIVO!

I finally cut the cord in July. Saving over $100 a month now just for TV service from U-verse. Buying the TiVo Roamio OTA was a no brainer for me since I still wanted to recorded live TV over an antenna. I also tried the Tablo TV. While I liked the concept, the picture quality is not as good as TiVo (or live TV) and waiting for live TV or recorded shows to play was frustrating. You get none of that with the TiVo. Everything works quickly, and the picture quality is really good.

This product allowed us to get rid of satallite TV and still have the ability to record programs. The menus are easy to use and the box serves as an interface for other streaming services like Amazon Prime and Netflix.

I was reluctant to cut the cable and use over-the-air programing. But with my NEW Tivo...I find it to be the best move ever! This Tivo works great...better than I expected! Saving over $130 a month in cable bills!

Works great. I am able to still DVR my over the air channels and live sports. The skip button makes skipping commercials a breeze. You can also use it to connect to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Go and others.

I cut out my cable and replaced it with this awesome TiVo - Roamio OTA 1TB Digital Video Recorder. I like recording my programs to watch later that's why I kept my cable even though all I really watch are network channels. But the cable bills kept going up. So I now use a HD antenna and the Tivo and the channels are clear and sharp.I have Amazon Prime so I kept internet at a huge saving and I'm set.

This is my 3rd TiVo - have been using their service about 15 years. Cut the cable cord about 5 years ago and never looked back. The ease of set up and customer service is tops! I'll never watch TV with TiVo!

This OTA unit set up nicely with my TV, and I scheduled it for recording a test program. However, our reception with our TV can be iffy at times, and with the TiVo replacing our TV tuner it was significantly worse with only a couple VHF stations coming in solid. Our antenna signal, which comes from an external type antenna in our attic, had been fed through a 4-way splitter and I changed to a 2-way splitter since we only use two TVs at present. Also had an old Radio Shack adjustable-gain antenna amplifier which I played with, and I then tried a new Mohu JOLT amplifier. None of these fixes improved things much. I wonder if one factor in the reception problem is that the TiVo has four tuners (and we normally would use only one), and if an internal splitter is used there could be a weakened signal fed to each tuner. Whatever the reason for the problem, I gave up and returned the unit, and BestBuy was cooperative in the return. I never did get to record the scheduled program. It's too bad it didn't work out in my situation - it seems like a quality unit in other respects. One little nicety - the remote is RF instead of infrared so it doesn't have to be aimed while using it. I would recommend the TiVo Roamio OTA with the qualification that a strong antenna signal be available.

Set up was a snap. I did lose ABC channels when I connected my Mohu Leaf Antenna as I was getting them when the Antenna was connected to the TV so not sure why that happened and have done a few scans since with no luck picking up ABC. Records well and easy to use interface and remote. Happy with the purchase would be 5 stars if I could get ABC channels as well
