I now can record my TV shows that are broadcast over the airwaves rather than relying on cable or dish TV services. After purchase and installation of the DVR, there are no further costs or monthly fees. This is a lot cheaper than paying for cable service and equipment, even if you subscribe to streaming services for more channels. I have had it in service for almost a month and am happy. After cancelling my cable service, this will pay for itself within 4 months, and will be free thereafter. Pretty good deal!

Having owned a TiVo series 2 unit a few years ago the features were very familiar. Excellent choice for cutting the cable. Thought I would never leave my satellite service but now that the dish has been disconnected I will never look back. Features far exceed what I had with the satellite service DVR and it comes with lifetime membership to the TiVo service. Saving substantial money each month. ROI for me is less then 5 months.

I love my Tivo! They is no way to record up coming TV shows on VHS machines any more. Unless you have cable TV DVRs, you are out of luck. I bought this Tivo which has a one time use fee and I can record 4 shows at on time and it has a great TV guide. My only complaint is the Tivo does not come with an instruction booklet. By experimenting with the remote control, I was able to figure out most of the things it can do. I no longer have expensive cable TV shows but have plenty to watch on regular TV and You Tube, Netfix, Hula, etc.

Connection and activation were easy to accomplish. The guide loaded more quickly than I expected. We have used it over a month now, and have enjoyed the recording of our shows. Our only problem is that the fan in the box started making noise a couple days ago. TIVO says "Go back to Best Buy and exchange it." Best Buy says "You are past the 15 days, so only TIVO can exchange it." Meanwhile..............

This DVR is excellent for over the air recording. It also includes a guide for which some DVRs charge extra.

This was just a great purchase, I looked at tablo and channelmaster. They all have their merits but in my opinion with the free lifetime subscription the Rovio beats them all. Simple easy to use and setup is a breeze. The actual activation took awhile and that was annoying but everything else was cake

I'll take the Roamio with free lifetime service over the Bolt. The DVR alone is worth it for me. The subscription is a bonus. The streaming channels are great too.

A great solution for OTA TV eliminating my cable bill. Great to have immediate access to streaming apps without switching inputs or devices. Product works great!

Tired of paying for satellite TV and figured most of what I watch is OTA. The only thing that kept me paying for TV was the DVR. Very happy with the performance of my Tivo, can't see ever going back to pay TV.

Bought this to start down the road of moving away from cable and leveraging OTA tv. Nice user interface for setuo. Although the automatic scan didn’t id a couple channels, it was easy to add them manually.

Tivo OTA provides a great guide, easy set up, several guide options. Works well with streaming channels as well.

This is the best DVR I have ever had. Loaded with Great Features and has a much faster response time when a button is pushed. I have had many DVRs from cable companies and none compare to this one. The four tuners are sensitive which helps to bring in all the over the air channels. The guide is very good; and free with this model. Very glad I bought this unit!

Didn't give 5 stars because of price but I'm very happy with it. I have had no issues. Took a little bit to figure out one pass not as easy as my old spectrum box. I use this for ota

If you have a good digital antenna (and signal amplifier if you live out of the urban area) this digital video recorder rivals the DVR capability of professional satellite video provider.

The interface is excellent, and streams apps. All but the most tech nerds would appreciate this device. My wife records local shows often, the main reason we bought this. The tivo also "records" shows from apps like hulu. Ditched att, got this and ota antenna, voila. Not looking back at all.

Easy to set up, easy to use the only down side is the price and the tivo suggestion recordings. If you want to record your favorite OTA programs the Roamio is a great product.

The Roamio OTA is a great way to manage OTA station content. It is easy to setup and use and the included TIVO guide and support are excellent. Good value compared to cable.

Antenna tv,no cable bills and recorded shows to watch later. (&the ability to skip the commercials.yay!)

I cut the cable and satellite cord and am trying OTA. Set up was easy as was registration. Has plenty of storage memory and works well. Very happy so far with this purchase.

At first I thought about building my own htpc dvr setup but started getting costly. I also looked at the Tablo but it only streamed stereo and not DD. It's a hard to swallow the initial price but Tivo does such an amazing job recording sports that may overextend, the guide is phenomenal.
