    Reliable entry level performance keyboard

I've owned the Roccat Isku FX for about 6 months, and use it as my daily keyboard at work. It's a good, reliable keyboard - note that it's still a membrane keyboard, not a mechanical, but that has a good feel to the keys. There are some macro keys on the left hand side - I've got one programmed to lock my computer, another to hit ctrl-alt-del, and a third to launch a program that I frequently use (to set this up, I had to write a script that I saved - not as user friendly as some quick launch keys). This keyboard DOES have backlit keys, and you can choose the color. The biggest difference in lighting between this and another ISKU model is the FX has the ability to change colors; others are backlit to a single color. The RYOS FX - a more expensive Roccat keyboard - allows you to set colors for individual keys (it's also mechanical, which is why it costs more). The keyboard has worked well for me - I work in IT and use it a lot during the day. My main complaint is that the backlit keys are very limited in their brightness. You can change the brightness with a key on the right side of the keyboard, but it does not get bright enough for my tastes. Overall - I'm glad I bought this keyboard; it did not break the bank, and while it's not quite as nice as I would like, it hasn't had any issues and was a good beginner keyboard. I also have two of Roccat's mice - the naval military kone, and the Kiro - all their devices seem to be pretty solid.
