German precision in the palm of your hand. This is by far the best gaming mouse I've ever owned. It's light weight, but it's so balanced. The lights are cool too. I will definitely be looking to Roccat for my future PC gaming accessories.

The Roccat Kone AIMO is a versatile mouse from Roccat. It offers top notch switches, a great sensor, fantastic lighting, and an adaptable feel and grip. The AIMO is especially useful if you’re already investing in the Roccat ecosystem, but regardless is a solid wired mouse. The mouse comes packaged in a descriptive box. The mouse itself feels quite premium, with soft touch plastics. This is a right handed mouse, but lefties could use it in a pinch. The primary buttons are high quality feeling with large sweet spots. The scroll wheel is nice and chunky, with a rubber surface. The wheel offers both scroll and tilt (4D) controls. Below the wheel are DPI adjustment buttons, which pick one of 5 DPI settings that can be adjusted in software. On the left side of the mouse where your thumb wrests are buttons T1-T3, which map by default to forward, backwards, and Easy-Shift[+]. Easy-shift[+] is Roccat’s FN or alt button, where pressing this button will activate a secondary set of actions for most buttons - essentially turning almost any button (or key if you have a Roccat keyboard) into a macro or alternate function. The mouse comes preloaded with many features already enabled, and can be adjusted or remapped as needed. The 4D scroll wheel here proved its worth, as the T3 thumb button + scroll wheel up or down controls volume, while left and right will switch tracks. I found these features immensely useful during my work day when using music or even webex chats. Unfortunately the position of the T3 button means that T1 and T2 are mostly inaccessible - which begs the question if T3 could have been a pinky actuated button on the right side. Regardless, just the T3 button and scroll wheel add quite a bit of value. Sensor wise, we have a 16000 DPI Owl-eye sensor. From best I can tell this is a Pixart 3389 w/ 50 DPI stepping. It’s a great sensor, and tracks extremely well. Assuming I’m correct, it’s a sensor generally associated with high end mice, so you’re getting what you pay for here. Lift off is quite sensitive and can even be adjusted. The default very low setting is quite crisp, while low seems much higher. Angle snapping, sound feedback and polling rate round out the additional settings for the sensor. Luckily snapping is off by default, and so are the sound feedbacks, which are frankly a bit silly. You can have a guy announce your DPI changes. Overall though the software features are quite solid. Lighting is also adjustable and syncable with other Roccat accessories. The Roccat Swarm software is a solid offering, which seems to have little to no performance implications, and very little memory usage. Illumination on the mouse has several settings, including a pretty fun snake setting. The AIMO intelligent lighting system is a reactive lighting technology that has subtle effects that appear depending on your activity. It’s oddly soothing, and compared to my Corsair setup, takes the pain staking adjustments out of the picture. It’s essentially RGB auto mode without being completely unicorn vomit, which is pretty nice. I’ve found it subtle and relaxing. You can still adjust all 5 zones separately with static colors if so desired. Feel wise, this mouse is definitely on the larger side. It’s not a massive mouse by any means, but it definitely is bigger and heavier than some sport mice. Whether or not this is right for you is a personal preference, but it feels quite comfortable either palming or clutching. The mouse is quite ergonomic despite its unabashed gaming style. As far as that aesthetic goes, it’s a love it or hate it. If you like the RGB accents flowing down the body like the mouse, then you’ll like it. Overall, the Roccat Kone AIMO is a quite solid mouse with a great sensor. Adjustable lift off, lighting, fine grain DPI, polling rate, and customizable buttons and macros are all features that squarely put the Kone at the top of the feature list.

loving my ROCCAT gear that i got. mouse, keyboard and headset. they all work great together with the software. first i like to talk about cons. as i mentioned the software is great, but i would like to see a button that syncs the lights. not to hard to go to each device. but i would love to set my mouse to whatever solid color and then click sync and have all devices sync. or set to use the aimo, and sync and have all devices change to that etc. i would have also loved to see 2 buttons next to the left click. for pointer finger on left side. also would have loved a button that allowed the mouse wheel to free spin. and this one is a con and a pro. they have a T3 button for your thumb. the con for me is location. its on the bottom part so under your thumb. this makes it hard at least for me to use at times. i like to set it to make my dpi go higher when pressed and held. in shooter games this allows me to look around fast, so when i am looting, i can look around faster. but then when i am holding angels, or aiming at someone, i release. my issue is that my thumb slips off after a while, a lot less now that i am more used to it, but still happens especially if i have to lift my mouse to adjust it. being that i squeeze the mouse as i lift. my ideal spot would be in the middle and towards the forward about where my thumb tip is. would be great to make it adjustable so you can slide it to fit different hands. but this would then let me still use the button if i have to adjust mouse. and if i dont want to use button, i then squeeze with where i first knuckle is. but i am glad they at least have the button. ill probably try to get used to setting up games that allow, when i am not aiming down sites that the speed is faster, and then when aiming slow. this way, i then can use that button for something else. like to throw nades, melee, meds etc. or set it to be a easy shift key. this is something i love. you can set the easy shift to be for a specific device, so only for mouse, or keyboard. or you can set it so its for all devices. when i set that up, i still keep my wasd keys the same. this way i can still move around. but the other keys like q and e for instance i now can have as different functions, like different meds for instance. lots of options. now for some pros. love that it has a lot of different light sections. 5 i believe. it feels super smooth, lost of options like i mentioned above for buttons. it is big, but you dont have to place hands all the way up. how i grip, my pointer finger and middle fingers sit between where the mouse wheel is and the button behind it. i love like i mentioned how the software incorporates the devices. so like i said, i can set up the easy shift and have it also act as a easy shift for my keyboard and vice versa. you can set up 5 profiles for the mouse and you can also set up macros as well as set up macros for specific games. i have not done the macro stuff, so i am not sure what all it can do in that aspect. and its responsive. feels great and loving it.

My previous Roccat Kone XTD still works great. However, I just purchased all the parts to do a full tip end gaming build. Yes, I got a 3090! Anyway, this mouse will be for the new build. Roccat products are phenomenal. I play an mmorpg when I have time, and setting skills to the buttons and the easy shift+ makes throwing skills/spells so much easier.

This is probably the best mouse I’ve ever had. The look and style of this mouse is extremely nice and matches my build perfectly. You can download Roccat Swarm to customize almost everything on this mouse as well. The mouse is a decent size, it fits my hand well but it could be too big for someone with smaller hands. I wish it were wireless, but it’s great anyways.

Im really happy with it. The lighting effects are great, it’s really comfortable, and the quality feels fantastic. I used an old ROCCAT mouse 10 years ago when they first came out with an RGB mouse and though I loved it, it broke after about 3 months. I was hesitant to try them again but really loved the the look of it, but I’m glad I went with it. I definitely recommend.
