    Love It!!!

This game is not only fun as bought, but also has many downloadable songs. The new songs come out every week. There are so many goals and challenges that I havent completed even 60% of them... and Im a hardcore gamer. Rockband is great for anyone who loves music and cannot play an instrument. Although it serves as a great transition for those who want to learn! I especially enjoy the game while playing with my fiance' and kids durring family time. Its also awesome to play with friends during those "BYOB" nights. (Pun Intended)

I was so happy when this game was mentioned to come out i stormed through number 2 one last time. This game has to be one of the best rockband's (Besides The Beatles Rockband) To come out. the new additions are remarkable. The Song choice seems like it is never ending. The Good. 1. Over 2000 Songs(Store And Other Games, ANd This Game) 2.The Option To Play A Real Guitar On This Game. 3.The New Addition Of Playing A Piano. 4.The Graphics And Game Are Fun The Bad. 1.Some Of The Songs Are A Bit Challenging. 2.The Piano Takes A While To Adjust To. 3.Singing Mode Could OF Been Better.

Just got the game yesterday, but played it with the family last night. I own all the Rock Band games, as well as Guitar Hero. Rock Band 3 is hands down a better playing experience than previous editions. The way you can build your character and band is pretty cool. There are quite a few goals that can be attained. Now I'm getting the keyboard peripheral today, so we'll see how that goes. I was a little apprehensive about the songs (not much rock), but because of the keyboard addition, the songs make sense.

    Added some cool features

Added some cool features, dropping in and out and switching difficulty while playing is awesome. Also pausing and the rewind feature is a big improvement. Great game. The added songs were ok, just seemed to be needing more hits/popular songs. Overall another great RockBand game. Five Stars

I got really excited when I played this game! I've been waiting for months for its release. I can finally play John Lennon's Imagine, Paramore's Misery Business, and other great songs. Other Rock Band titles' songs can be exported to Rock Band 3 except The Beatles: Rock Band, and DLC is automatically exported to this new game. Love the extra keyboard player, Pro Mode, graphics, and easy access to the game! Way better than any Guitar Hero game.

Cymbal support is nice, tour is lacking

A nice addition to the Rock Band collection, I particularly like the support for the triple cymbal expansion for the drums. I used the cymbals in Rock Band 2, but they felt more cosmetic since it didn't differentiate the toms and cymbals. With support for the cymbals, it feels like playing an actual drum set now. The lack of an extensive tour like in Rock Band 2 was disappointing. The road challenge was very short, and couldn’t not be completed independently, since it required you unlock many other "achievements" in other parts of the game to unlock and continue the challenges. Overall still a fun game to play with the family.

This game definately took suggestions from the last games and made it better! The no-fail modes are great for kids. I love the ability for Band members to join or drop out during the song rather than going back to the start menu! Makes it easy to use for partys!

New songs and DL's are keyboard orientated

If you plan on buying this game, you might as well buy the keyboard at least, too. There must have been quite a backlog of keyboard-centric music they were just waiting to release. In prior versions, the rare keyboard solo of a song was usually up to the guitar player to play, and even though I thought it was funny that I was playing a keyboard part with a "guitar", but just sitting there or strumming one easy note was not a fun alternative. In RB3, that is what I am doing now. Now I sit around more than ever with the new songs. The keyboard and the pro guitar are the new add ons, and the efforts at making this a fresh reboot are focused on music that they work well with. You can import just about everything from RB1 ,RB2 and RBGreenDay, and ACDCLive if you own them for $10 more each, but no import option for The Beatles. Some of the recent DL's available are remakes of songs already in RB - they just have had the keyboard and guitar mode added. Beware if you are a Bon Jovi fan, some of the recent offerings are already in your library! Unfortunately, I found disappointment for the person who like to play the "guitar" since my option for both is gone. If you just like to play guitar you might as well just stick to RB2, since the only addition songs you will get are more keyboard oriented, anyways. And who cares about the graphics? A nice addition would be to have a fractal visualizer instead of silly cartoons. I still have a great time playing, so it is still 5 star fun for me. I haven't bought it yet, but I might still buy the keyboard eventually just to play Yes - Roundabout. It's just that I spent $60 on this game, $100 on Guitar Hero 5 earlier (because I needed ANOTHER new guitar, on my 8th one! Ok, I do beat the cr@p out of them.), $10 to transfer RB2 into RB3, and after that is it might hard to justify buying another plastic object I am probably going to have to replace every year, too. Expensive fun!

    finally KEYS!!

I love this game with all of the classic songs from the 60s, 70s and also some great songs from the 80s like, "Here I Go Again" and "Sister Christian." The pro keys are some what hard but it's real fun to play on "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Sister Christian." I love the new career thing which is now called, Road Challenges, were you can still tour, but now they are challenges and it doesn't take as long as it did. The music on this game could have been better, now who would want to play an Amy Whinehouse song, Juanes, and others? Buying this game made my life wonderful because of the DLC they have been having, for example: The Doors, Bon Jovi, Bee Gees, 38 Special, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, now Queen and Billy Joel coming up. For the pro instruments I've only tried the keys and the drum kit and they are fun to play and to learn how to play the keyboard by attaching an adapter to your real keyboard. If you like music games, get this game!

    Too Many Bugs

We are big time Rock Band family and have all Harmionix titles and we were waiting in great anticipation for Rockband 3 when we got it on launch day we were very excited but when we got it home and had issues with Vocal Overdrive and percussive notes not activating the fun went out the window... We have had the infamous Frozen Roadie freeze as well as a couple other console freezes on our PS3 that playing this game has gotten very not fun, The graphics are great the new interface is fabulous and if Harmonix ever patches and fixes these bugs this will be the best out of all the rock band games. Now, some have had no issues some have had a few and some like us have had them all. Again if you love rockband get the game and play. The new interface and new sorting and the instant leaderboard features do give this game an edge but woe if you have the vocal issues.... in other words this is a a totally mixed review

We are having a lot of fun with this game. The pro and regular modes late people of any skill level join in on the fun. We bought the wireless keyboard at the same time and already have a drum set and it really is a lot of fun. I can't wait for the pro guitars to finally come out!

The game could have been ranked an excellent if the new guitar was available for pro mode. Other than that, the game plays terrific and its great to import your older rock band songs onto the new one.

An Ecelent game. Best yet in the rockband series, Will accept all old download content and exports from almost all of the previous game titles, except Beatles. If You enjoy any of the older rock bands or even the Guitar Hero/Band Hero series of games you will love this title.

The music list is sad on this game! I know they have to market these as party games now but I should not have to have 4 people all the time to get trophies. Some good improvements but still not worth purchase!
