Love Bill Murray. Hard to find at times. If you are fan as I am you will dig this DVD.

Murray portrays a self-appointed perfect "ear" of a talent agent and carries on with repeated stories of celebs and great musical finds. When he ends up out of luck in the Middle East after his talent ran away with his present riches and future jobs, he finds talent in a young girl who is forbidden to even exhibit her talent to anyone but herself and her "God".

Much like Bill Murray's character in this movie, director Barry Levinson has seen better days for hits. Murray plays a has-been rock manager who finds himself stranded in Afghanistan, where he discovers a local woman with a beautiful voice. Despite cultural taboos, he sets out to make her a star. This movie is a full-on Murray vehicle and if you're a fan, that's all you need. It's obvious that this is directed by a seasoned filmmaker: it's fully competent, but the script lacks many genuine laffs (and the resolution is left unsatisfactorily unexplained). Lively energy, but falls flat more often than not.

I say if you're a Bill Murray fan then you should check out this movie. If you love old Murray -- most notably Stripes -- then I think you'll enjoy this. Its not bad. There are some bizarre characters and scenes that don't feel fleshed out, but it's Murray being Murray. What else could you ask for?

The film stars Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Zooey Deschanel and Kate Hudson. Bill Murray plays a has been rock manager from the US, who stumbles on a fantastic new female voice in a small remote Afghan village and tries to manage this new vocal artist.

Very good Bill Murray vehicle. Great music and funny premise. Without giving away the movie, Murray is a "washed-up" music agent/producer who manages to get his "most promising" talent a gig outside the US. Look for funny support from Bruce Willis.

This is classic Bill Murray acting. The cameo actors were great in the movie. I thought the story was well written too. It was a great choice of songs in the movie and the vocals were excellent. irecommend this movie to all of my friends,

Bill Murray is always entertaining and fun to watch! The additions of Bruce Willis, Danny McBride and others make this movie a special treat!

Good movie and worth a watch but the whole thing screamed Wes Anderson should have directed this and made it a bit darker/artsy.

Good movie but not what I expected. It was more drama and social commentary than comedy. Still worth the watch.

The movie is a fairly good time, but nothing amazing. Bill Murray was decently funny in this flick, and it's right up his style of comedy. Would probably not have bought if I knew Netflix was going to get it so soon.

If you're a fan of Bill Murray you'll like this movie. His performance and wit are sharp.

This movie is a little strange in parts. It is about a music manager discovers a teenage girl with an extraordinary voice while on a music tour in Afghanistan. Good watch and a must see for Bill Murray fans.
