Used on my major appliances and as extra power strip protection for computer n tv. Have had two power surges since purchase and everything still working great. Unfortunately I waited till I lost my dishwasher, a spare fridge n security camera dvr before learning how important it is to have these. I am so happy with these. They r a lifesaver n worth every penny. They mount flush, about an inch from wall and plug in from sides. Don't think about it. Just buy them n protect your stuff.

It's very easy to determine if it 'bites the dust' or not: power fails to be delivered to the item plugged in and the light will no longer show green for protected.
