It is UL Listed. It has a flat plug in case you want to put it behind furniture. The power button is a bit recessed so it won't accidentally get switched off. It has 1 outlet further away from the other outlets in case you have a bigger DPI. It has a nice long cord. I wish the 2160 Joules was marked on the product, but this rating only ever seems to be on the packaging with these types of products.

I have this set up for my fish tanks on my night nightstand & dresser. Super weird format I've got goin' on, but this made it possible to get all the lights and water pumps I need as well as charging my phone, watch and laptop without any explosions. It is a little on the pricey end but when you have an electricity bill like me, it's essential.

Good Power Strip with Visual Indicators.

I picked this power strip to add to my computer desk area for all the additional devices that I needed to charge. My desk is inconveniently located a good distance from any of the outlets in my room so I needed something with a longer cord and wall mountable for easy access. This power strip met both of those criteria. The power strip has a USB-A charging port built in with a 12w charging capacity and a USB-C PD port with a 20w charging capacity. These are the only shortcomings of this power strip, as both of those power limits are pretty low, the PD port isn't even high enough to put my phone into Fast Charging Mode, let alone Super Fast Charging. I wish they would have incorporated a 30-45w PD port to really make those ports worth it. I guess if you can't find a charging block they will get you by in a pinch, but I doubt I'll see much use for them. The power strip has 2 visual indicators on it for protections status. The first letting you know that its surge protection capability is intact. Thats a nice assurance for the devices you plug into it. Secondly it lets you know if the outlet you are plugged into is in fact grounded, which most people won't know if it is. So those are nice additions. Wall mounting the surge protector was easy enough. I do wish they would have included a template for the mounting screws to make it easier, but anyone handy will be able to put it up in 5 minutes or less. The 7 ports are going to be plenty enough for my VR charging station (I have 2 VR headset), so once my controller charging stations get in this thing will be working at near max capacity.

    Protect your electronics.

It is pretty essential to have some sort of surge protection for your electronics. It’s much better to have to replace the power strip than try and replace that TV, sound system or any other electronics you might have hooked up. Plus, everything is using USB and not coming with power blocks any more. So, for example you have a TV, sound bar and a TV stick of some sort, then likely the TV stick just needs USB power and sometimes the TV power just isn’t enough to keep them powered. The flat angled plug is nice for being plugged up behind furniture and not requiring additional space just for the wire sticking out of the wall. Top that with the 6ft of cord and you can run this just about anywhere. There are 7 outlets and one of them is offset for larger power blocks. The wattage on the USB ports will run or charge most things, but it is not powerful enough to push some devices into the super or fast charge modes. But, for most cases it is more than enough. It has 2 LEDs for “protected” and “grounded” which some older houses still don’t have proper grounding and you know you should be protected from any surges. With the added fact that they have a “$200,000 connected equipment guarantee”, I’d say it is a decent investment over some cheaper brand surge protector that just boasts a red light. Just a shame it didn’t offer 45W output for the USB-C port to support larger devices.

The protection you need for precious devices

It’s a great investment to protect your precious electronics from power surge and spikes. It comes with a $ 200,000 equipment limited warranty, which basically means your device will be covered should power surge and spikes occur and cause damage to your device. In such cases, the power strip should be able to dissipate 2160 joules of energy. It is also rated to reduce EMI/ RFI on the power lines that can interfere with equipment performance. It has 7 power outlets with 12 W USB-A and 20 W USB C-PD ports. The position of the last outlet on the power strip is designed for power adaptor plug, with space optimization in mind. I really like the design because in a typical power outlet strip, a power adaptor would take two outlet spaces. There are two LEDs that tell us that the power strip has been properly functioning and grounded. The power strip is rated at 120,000 amps so it’s great for PC and home entertainment sets. So far, it works really well on my gaming PC and it charges my gaming accessories really well.

    Excellent Surge protector. EMI/RFI Benefits.

To start off, I was using an older 90s-2000s design and wanted something more up to date for my networking area since my hardware such as Fiber ONT and Cable Modem are both very sensitive to EMI. (I run two internet services since I work from home). While my old unit did filter noise and what not, I was confident it wasn't the best surge protector for modern equipment. It's no secret that Rocketfish has been a legacy Best Buy house brand for years.. so I wasn't exactly worried that the product wouldn't be up to standards. PROS: -2160 Joltes rating. -400V Live to Neutral Suppression + 47 dB EMI filtration. -UL RATED (A must!) -14 AWG THICK grounded cable. -20W USB-C and 12 W full 5v 2.4A USB-A for fast charging without a extra plug. CONS: -Transient suppression is pretty average. (400V) 330V would be best. - Outlet placement could be more spaced out. Right bottom corner outlet is only spaced plug. -Plastic shell or industrial design could be improved. Not the best looking tap. SUBJECTIVE THOUGHTS: I wont sugar coat it.. It's a tap. Not very special, but a good thing to have in regards to protection for sensitive equipment. I subjectively think this unit helps my other sensitive electronics feel better such as laptop when moving around mouse motion on laptop or desktop PC. This could be placebo, but my networking area also seems more stable for wireless throughput across my home. A very nice potential benefit to switching out the older unit. -Has two LED indicators for ground and protection. Dim blue.. not overbearing like other designs. -I really don't like the plastic body. Seems cheap, but the electronic design inside likely makes up for a bulk of the cost. OVERALL: I think this is a very good tap and I would Glady grab another given the positive feedback with my network stack area. The Only thing I dislike is the plastic body mold.. Could be better. 4.5/5. Giving it the full 5 stars.

The Rocketfish surge protector strip is a welcome addition to my home for multiple uses. This is a much needed power strip for my various electronics and peace of mind. There are plenty of outlets and connections available. This surge protector has 7 outlets for all your electronic gadgets. Six of the AC outlets are standard spaced, and the one at the very end is wide spaced to allow for a larger plug. The nice addition to this surge protector is the 1 USB-A and 1 USB-C port which help to keep my devices powered up. So it's almost like having 2 extra plugs for available power sources. This will absorb power surges up to 2160 Joules, which should help to keep all my pricey tech gear safe if there ever is a power surge at home or at the office. Another nice bonus of this is the 47dB EMI/RFI noise filter to help protect against any electromagnetic interference. The angled plug is well thought out as it allows for a low profile design and fits better into hard to reach wall outlets. The strip is also wall mountable with a keyhole in the back to allow a fitment that suits your situation best. All of this extra protection gives me peace of mind that I can trust my thousands of dollars in tech equipment to not be damaged. There is even a $200K connected equipment guarantee from Rocketfish if anything should happen. The cord length is about 6 feet and easily reaches from the floor to the wall outlet with its flexibility. Overall a great looking surge protector strip by Rocketfish. Multiple devices can all be plugged into one power strip. Perfect for a home office setup or AV setup. I'm trying it around my house to figure out where I can get maximum protection and peace of mind. Well worth the investment to purchase this and protect your gear.

Many people make the mistake of using a power strip instead of a surge protector for their valuable electrical components. And they generally realize their mistake too late and find that saving a small amount ends up costing a large amount when they have a device fail due to a power surge. Power strips have come a long way, and the price point for the Rocketfish™ - 7-Outlet/1-USB/1-USB-C 2160 Joules Surge Protector Strip you won’t find better features. As an added bonus, it has a $200,000 connected component guarantee and a limited lifetime warranty. Additionally, it has a 47 dB EMI/RFI noise filter to minimize electrical interference that can affect equipment performance. It looks sleek and professional, and it has a keyhole mount on the back so you can hide it out of the way if needed. This protector may protect against electrical surges caused by lightening strikes on the power grid, surges that occur if your power supply isn’t stable, and the surge that can occur when your power goes out and comes back on without you turning off your electrical components. The strip has 6 regularly spaced outlets and 1 offset for a larger power block. The power cord is 6’ long so it can reach most outlets, and the plug is offset and space saving for a low profile. The side mounted on/off switch helps avoid accidental switching, and there are 2 indicator lights to show when the unit has power, and the power line is grounded. In the event of a power surge the device cuts off power to all outlets. Finally it includes a USB-A and USB-C power power outlets to charge mobile devices with a combined output up to 32 watts.

Wanted a new surge protector power strip to replace another one in an outlet right beside my bed. I don't know why, but apparently the manufacturers of these products have all decided to add lights to a device that doesn't really need it and the one I had was actually putting out a fair amount of light pollution to the room when it was otherwise dark. Not something I want right by my pillowside when I'm trying to sleep. I thought this Rocketfish strip would be better and in that regard it is. The "protected/grounded" status plates light up, but it's a faint blue light and not that bad. Does it need to be there at all? Well, in my opnion no, but I guess Rocketfish disagrees. The good news here is that the cord is substantially long, so even if you need this outlet near your bed chances are good you might be able to position it such that the end putting off the light is behind a piece of furniture or something to help further dampen it. It's got a lot of flexibility in that way, which is nice. Build design overall is sturdy and I like the look of it all. Very sleek. The main problem is... the outlets on the power strip are stacked so closely to one another that it is all but inevitable you will NEVER be able to use all 7 outlets at once unless you are using it to only power devices that have the most basic plugs ever made. Any charging brick of nearly any size is going to be big enough to cover the outlet beside it partially, unless you're using the lone one that's deliberately spaced apart a bit from the rest. I'm truthfully a little flabbergasted. Sure, I should have looked more closely at this beforehand but honestly it didn't even cross my mind. Look at the picture I attached and you'll see what I mean. Instead of being able to plug in 7 things, in reality you'll be lucky if you can get four. Not a huge deal if you know what you're getting into and you have the kind of devices that will work well with this layout. Otherwise, I'd personally look elsewhere.

Needed a new surge protector as my current one in the kitchen seemed to sometimes shut off automatically without reason. Could be because the air fryer is running too hot or so. This new one by Rocketfish has helped me deal with that issue thankfully. Off the top, this surge protector is UL rated - this is an important factor for surge protectors since you want to feel safe with a surge protector. UL rated means that the Underwriters Laboratories have deemed the product has met specific safety standards. Other nice features is the 2160 joules protection, a six feet cord, and a USB outlets. The USB C and USB A outlets should be capable of fast charging your devices. Having an LED lit "Grounded" and "Protected" is a nice extra as opposed to your basic LED with the words printed beside it, some of those LEDs on surge protectors can be annoyingly bright but not this one. I do like how spaced out the outlet is at the end of surge protector compared to the other six, this is ideal for those huge power bricks that take up a lot of space without having it protrude off of the surge protector. I don't have too many complaints other than a nitpick of the awkward angled electrical plug. I would have preferred it if were just vertical or even better if you could rotate the plug's head. All in all, I would recommend this surge protector to anyone.
