Any device in range could potentially link via Bluetooth without you stopping it. I'm using this with an Amazon Echo to connect it to my Pioneer 950 vintage amplifier and Klipsch speakers. Works great for that use. Feels a bit pricey at $60 for its functionality.

Only issues is it remembers last device so have to disconnect it from Bluetooth to allow another device to connect.
