Love Sir Elton. Everything about this film was like hitting the rewind button in my memories from that period in time. Spot on! WoW, Loved it! Well Done!

Truly AMAZING film, befitting of the one and only, Elton John. Taron Egerton’s performance was fantastic.

This bio-pic of rock 'n roll icon Elton John is this year's "Bohemian Rhapsody." The Freddie Mercury story made a small fortune at the box office and walked away with a handful of Oscars, including one for Rami Malek as Best Actor. Maybe lightning will strike twice because "Rocketman" deserves the same respect. In fact, in terms of production numbers and pacing, it is better than "Rhapsody," which suffered from a sluggish middle act before delivering the goods in its rousing finale. "The Kingsman" star Taron Egerton seems an unlikely choice for the role of Sir Elton, but he plays the part so convincingly you quickly forget that this is the kid who set the movie world on fire spoofing James Bond. The soundtrack covers most of Elton's greatest hits, presented in zippy bits of staging that approximate the thrill of John in concert. If you've never seen the man live because you can't afford the steep ticket prices, pick up this film for a fraction of the cost and turn the lights down and volume up. It's two hours of rock 'n roll bliss.

I absolutely love this film. Using Elton's music as the soundtrack to his life story is brilliant!!! I cannot say enough about this movie. From the opening scene, in his Bob Mackie outfit to the closing credits, this is a cinematic wonder. Impressively beautiful. Visually it is spectacular. As vibrant and alive as Elton himself is. Taron Egerton and Jamie Bell have a transcendent chemistry. They show the true love and friendship the two men have for one another, co-writing music together for over 50 years, writing some of the most beloved songs of all time. The entire cast was amazing. Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton's cold and distant mother. Richard Madden as John Reid, Elton's cruel lover/manager. Gemma Jones as his supportive, loving grandmother. All of them did such a great job with their characters. Although I have owned the discs for such a short time, I have watched the film half a dozen times already, and that number will continue to increase over time. This is a must see movie.

A semi biographical film about Elton John. I say semi biographical because there are some fantasy elements involved. This film has an outstanding cast headed by Aaron Egerton, Jamie Bell, and Bryce Dallas Howard - and many others Dexter Fletcher directed this film from a script by Lee Hall. I won't go into a dedicated scene-by-scene breakdown, but I will say that there are some memorable music scenes that make this film a genuine musical! A must watch!

If you're a fan of Elton John's music, you gotta see this. This is another Black Friday sale that I bought someplace else thinking I got it for a steal until I looked at Best Buy prices. I returned what I bought from the other store and bought this one. Lesson learned: wait for Best Buy's Black Friday blu-ray sales b4 buying someplace else. Chances are, they'll have the item you're looking (newer movies) for and it will be on sale.

I was not expecting it to be a musical format but the dance routines were spectacular. Impressed with the acting and also that the music was recorded and produced by George Martins son(The Beatles producer). Also loved the extras. Loved that Elton John was open to the slightly different arrangements the songs had. Enjoyable and entertaining. I don’t give 5 stars very often.

Absolutely fabulous movie! Loved the music and the honestly that Elton John uses to tell his story. If your an Elton John fan it is a must see film, if not I'm not sure how you couldn't be after seeing it. I could feel the pain that he felt at different times in his life and it brought tears to my eyes. I also could feel the triumph that he felt by the end of the movie.

I was never a fan of Elton's. However, after watching this movie. I admire him a great deal more now. He had a rough younger life with a father that was borderline cruel. Maybe that's where his success comes from. I was amazed that a friend wrote the words and Elton created the music from them. Truly an amazing artist. He truly deserves to be a top musician.

Everything about this film was executed perfectly in making of it, with quality fantastic visuals, music, the production, everything about the film is fantastic. The story is presented in songs and dancing unlike any other film ever made. A perfect film about a legendary real life music artist Elton John that truly changed to world with his music.

My daughter & wife went to see it in the theater and was pleasantly entertained. Every actor did a great job and a very talented group, from the beginning of the movie to the end. Great music as you would expect from any movie, even fantasy based on fact about Elton John & Bernie Taupin, would be and it did not disappoint. We loved it.

Rocketman is a movie about Elton’s life from a young age to the man he is today. Elton has a rough childhood. When he got older, he had problems with alcohol and cocaine, which nearly killed. This movie contains so much info on Elton that it is hard to review in this small space. Please watch Rocketman and let us know what you think.

Elton John produced this film which is his biography since he was a child, when he learned to play piano, his stardom, conflicts, depression and his relation with Bernie Taupin as composers. His homosexuality is also portrayed. This is musical film with many o& his hits. Very entertaining specially if you are an Elton John fan.

so When this was coming out I didn’t get why the actor was going to sing and not lip sync Elton. I wasn’t sure I wanted to see it because of that. Then I saw the film and not only understood the need but after the first song it no longer mattered because it was so well done and so necessary. This is a great movie for any Elton fan and enjoyable to anyone else too.

The DVD Rocketman was very well done. It tells the story of Elton John starting with the point in his life where he decided to change things for the better while looking back on his life. The music is fantastic and Targon does a fantastic job singing, dancing, and playing Elton!

From the get go Elton John has created such a music library that having that in any film is going to make it a hit. Now that being said, the overall story to me was just OK. It didn't grab me like Bohemian Rhapsody and that is alright. I enjoyed but I think its the sound track more then anything that will make me watch again.

I heard mixed reviews when it was in the theaters, but as an Elton John fan, I had to see if for myself, and I loved it. It is a musical, which is why some I know didn't like it, but the actor that plays Elton John is amazing, and so is everyone else and the music.

Great film. Far superior to last year’s Queen biopic Bohemian Raphsody. Instead of playing it “by the numbers” and safe, Rocketman takes risks and isn’t afraid to show its lead character’s dark side and struggles with addiction (of all kinds). Worth every penny.

If you're looking for the Elton John version of Bohemian Rhapsody you're getting the wrong movie if you're looking for a movie that's more about his story than the music you're getting the right movie it has a chunk of his greatest hits but it's more about his transition from childhood two musician

I was surprised that anyone would be able to portray Elton John so superbly! The acting and singing was excellent! What a performance. Anyone who grew up loving Elton John’s singing and flamboyant performances will want to see and own this movie!
