Fun and exciting! Taron Egerton did a wonderful job.

There were high expectations for this movie because of two reasons: it is about Elton John and it followed quickly behind “Bohemian Rhapsody”.and it comes pretty closs to achieving that lofty goal. Not as dramatic as the Queen epic ending but has many great moments. The fantasy bothered some but I thought it made the film special and memorable. The structure of the story telling is fascinating. The performance by Tarn Egerton is amazing especially since he did most of the singing.

I love this movie! It is so well made! I really enjoyed how he/they incorporated his songs to tell the story of Elton John's life starting from when he was a small child as a musical prodigy. And kudos to Sir Elton John for having the courage to show his very human and vulnerable side so we can all relate that even a Superstar Rocket Man can run into the same pitfalls in life we all do at times and still be able to persevere and rise above in a more difficult time. What a success story! What a man!

I love Elton John and thought this movie was going to be as good as Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was different. The music of course was great, but very strange how they would just break out in a musical setting.

I liked the movie, a huge Elton John fan and seen him in concert many, many times. While the movie is technically excellent, the acting is just ok to me.

Director Dexter Fletcher brings the flamboyancy and heart you expect from Elton John to this project. Using his music to bring energy and poignancy to the film, Fletcher turns the stand music biography on its head by turning John's story into a full-blown musical. Taron Egerton is on top form as John and Jamie Bell delivers as songwriter and friend Bernie Taupin. A must see.

Enjoyed this movie. While I really like Elton John's music, I am not a huge fan of the "musical" format used in this production.

I bought it for my mother in-law knowing how much she loved listening to Elton John. It didn’t even pass through my husband’s mind! Boy, was he jealous he hadn’t thought of it! (I let him say it was from him too cause I’m nice like that. Lol) She loves it and watches it all the time!! She even let me keep the digital copy. Bonus!!

I saw this movie in the theaters before the COVID shutdown, and it is a "captain Fantastic" one-of-a-kind movie! The visuals are great, the cast is awesome, and the music is - sweet! As for this blu-ray/dvd, it arrived on time and in very good condition. I recommend that everyone add this one to their collection!

This film reveals many personal things about Elton which I was not aware of and makes me respect him even more. Taron Egerton received the Golden Globe for his portrayal of Elton (deservedly so), but was snubbed by the Academy. Lots of Elton's music thru out the film as many break into song as his story is told. Lots of extras on blu ray.

After seeing bohemian rhapsody I was pumped for another about Elton. However I was disappointed. Could have been better.

Half musical and half biographical. Would like the movie to be more straight forward in regard to the performances.

Songs are sung and history is re-imagined. My niece got ill while watching, though it probably wasn't related.

I gave this movie a good rating as it touched me. It was nothing what I thought it would be but I see Elton John in a whole new light. I felt super bad for him regarding his upbringing. It is a good example that you can pursue your dreams and be yourself in spite of others. i.e. his terrible family and some bad so called friends.

If you like Elton John you will like this film. If you like music you will like this music. Well written, well acted with some very good music. Some great insight on a rock and roll legend. Definite add for your movie collection. Hope you have a good sound system to enhance the viewing.

I still need to watch the extras, but thoroughly enjoyed the feature. We learned a lot about him. There was a lot that we didn't realize about his life. I will definitely be watching it again, hopefully I'll make time for the extras, then watch the movie again. Great music, definitely deserved the award. Made me want to listen to more Elton John tunes.
