I figured purchasing this would be a great way to shake the dust off of my guitar. I was right (of course it helps I also purchased a Line 6 M13 Stompbox to get excited about!). I'm a very subpar player, and it's my belief Rocksmith will help accelerate the learning curve. So far, I have no complaints!

Not a bad deal overall - got this with a free cable. Have not fully explored all the corners, but I've played enough to know the track listing is great, multi-player options are improved, as are mini-game skill challenges.. With 50-odd new songs, the cost of the full game is less than buying the same number of songs as DLC for the old version, so overall, there is a cost benefit. The interface is familiar, but different, and may take some adjustment. If you do well, the narrator/instructor is encouraging - do poorly, not so much. Although the box says previous versions tracks can be imported, you have to buy the import key ($9.99) for the on-disk tracks from the previous version. 3 or 4 tracks from the previous version are not licensed/do not import. Previously downloaded DLC import without a problem and without a key.

Although taking guitar lessons, this helps my grandson in between lessons AND allows him to play his PlayStation 3, which he cannot live without!!

I can't believe I caught this on sale! What a great deal! This is such a great "game" I say that because it's more than a game. It's a fun way to learn guitar. Guitar Hero is fun but with Rocksmith you can actually learn something useful while playing the game.

Have had RS 2014 now for 2 mo. Really enjoy it. I am a begginer and is nice to be able to pick up the guitar when I get the chance and practice. It is addicting. Have definitely improved my play. Have a long way to go still. Would recommend to anyone. Really like that bass can be played and learned as well.

After getting used to the interface I can Nava gate to levels and skills for me. Play thru my stereo and use headphones so I don't drive everyone nuts. I would recommend

This is a great way to learn an instrument. Aspiring musicians rejoice! This is better than Rockband because you actually are learning how to play an instrument. I wish I had more time to play but there's this thing called work that gets in the way! Hey! Maybe I can be in a band! All in all, my boyfriend and I have been enjoying this game. It's innovative and fun. You don't even realize you're LEARNING. It's great!

have been wanting to learn guitar for decades now, finally decided after researching rocksmith videos and reviews to give it a shot, am about 3 weeks into it here and there and i can see small steps to understanding and learning taking place. looking forward to officially set up the 60 day challenge to see where i am at after that pony.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition - PlayStation 3 is an awesome guitar learning tool. I gave this as a gift to a friend who's new years' resolution was to get back to learning guitar and it is not even a month later and he can already play songs! He says it is fun (like a game) and increases difficulty as he improves making the learning easy.
