    Brings Back The Fun

I bought this game so I could have fun playing guitar again and also be forced to learn new methods of song writing by having to play other peoples music. This game does that and so much more! It's like playing Guitar Hero but with a real guitar which makes the game so much better! If you want something to play with friends, practice alone, LEARN GUITAR or just something to have an all around good time with a guitar I highly suggest getting this!

Best Way To Learn Guitar I Have Found

I just received this today, and have been trying to learn guitar for over 10 years. This is the absolute best way I have found for a beginner to learn guitar(and I use Epiphone guitars normally, which partners with Rocksmith). It is easy to get lost in the learning process with this game and an hour be up in no time. That said, there are some minor drawbacks. The adaptive technology, while useful, can be tedious at times, but you will learn what you are doing wrong quickly. I could see more experience players going onto autopilot with many of the songs included, and likely most of the DLC(which is a major reason why I chose this game.....if you are looking for Classic Rock, most of it is in the DLC). Overall, I though the song selection was decent, but there are probably a lot of songs I would not have chosen personally. However, the backwards compatibility with the original Rocksmith and DLC makes up for that. Overall, I think this is a great game, with a bit of room for improvement, but it does what it needs to, which is making learning guitar fun enough to stick with, in spite of the pain that comes with building up your fingers. I needed a good way to learn guitar so I can work on my own compositions, and this looks to be it, from first impressions.

I have had a couple guitar for years, and have attempted to learn with books. That has never worked for me, but within 30 minutes of playing Rocksmith I was actually able to play the chorus of a song. Very impressed!

If you want to learn how to play guitar at your own pace, Rocksmith is the best. I mainly use it to learn songs and it's great!!

You may have tried a few other methods to enjoy your guitar...the way of your own personal choosing, on your schedule and at your own pace. This approach is unique, while also being fun and entertaining, and builds personal proficiency at the same time. Fire it up and enjoy the challenge.

Great way to learn for a beginning guitarist

Bought this for my 14-year-old son and he really likes it ... he's actually learning to play a little bit. There are several modes of play so it doesn't get boring. I'd rather see him playing this and learning guitar in the process than wasting hours on killing zombies or something. More beneficial in my opinion. He likes most of the song choices and is trying to learn a song from start to finish. Learning techniques as well.
