Game wants you to reconfigure your whole home audio system and there is still a big delay from guitar to speakers

Lots of good things, but it does have a few bugs that cause me to give it 4 stars. It also needs to get more bands on board for DLC

My friend bought an acoustic electric guitar just to play Rocksmith and learn to play the guitar. The game never calibrated correctly and lead to us not giving it another try. Guess we'll have to learn the old fashioned way.

Great tool for new to advanced users. Don't worry about buying a fancy guitar in the beginning. Comes with the cable already to plug in. Buy a few songs from your favorite bands and start jamming out with basic to advanced cords. Plenty of areas for practice and throttling the speed based on your skill set.

I really feel they did a great job of redesigning this game from the first one to better serve as a training tool for people learning guitar for the first time. It isn't just learning to play songs. There's also tons of fun minigames, exercises, and lessons to go through. My only issue is I feel there's less of a focus on getting you to play through all available songs, but there's so much to do that I hardly notice.

PC version allows you to get free songs. Xbox One and PS4 version... not so much. Still a good value for what I paid for it though.

I love this game. It is a fun way to learn guitar or learn new songs. My only hang up is the lag between the actual picking of the guitar and the sound coming from the TV. One work around is using the optical output to an external speak but this can be a bit expensive. Hopefully this will improve with new editions of Rocksmith.
