Customers love Rogue Legacy's addictive gameplay loop, which keeps the experience feeling fresh and challenging. The game's controls are also praised for being excellent and easy to learn, despite the difficulty. While some players find the game challenging, particularly in the later stages, many appreciate the difficulty as a positive aspect. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay and controls outweighs concerns about the difficulty.

Not a roguelike

This game claims to be a roguelike, but it isn’t. A roguelike involves “procedurally generated levels, turn-based gameplay, tile-based graphics, and permanent death of the player character” (Wikipedia). This game has procedurally generated levels and permadeath; but it’s not turn-based or tile-based. I bought it believing it would be turn-based, so that I wouldn’t have to get all twitchy to keep up; I was deeply disappointed.

This game is a little less fun than most rogue like games such as Dead cells
