Rogue One and the Disney+ show, Andor, are the best Star Wars since the original trilogy.

A tragedy, really. Thought Donnie Yen was great. The CGI characters were just okay. Someday they will be a bit more believable. Fills in some blanks of how we got to Episode 4 from Episode 3. Glad to have it in my library.

I owned a fine blu ray copy of Rogue One and was very please with the picture quality. However since Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars films (the Empire Strike Back is my favorite) I took a chance on purchasing the new 4K version of the movie. I thought the 4K version was a step up in the sharpness of details and the vividness of the color. I am very pleased with the 4K visionally (I lack a quality sound system in order to evaluate the sound....). I viewed the 4K on a LG OLED B series TV using a Sony 4K blu ray player.

Yup, I said it. This is the closest we're going to get to the feels of the original trilogy. This movie even has unused footage from a new hope in it. It's a grittier & darker view of the Star Wars universe & they did a good job showing it. I got goosebumps when I saw a character (whose actor has been dead for decades) look as good, if not better than they did in the original trilogy. It seamlessly and beautifully sets up for a new hope, as this is supposed take place after revenge of the sith & before a new hope. I was apprehensive & not expecting much after seeing the force awakens, but I was pleasantly & gratefully surprised. I dont know how anyone hasn't seen this yet but if you haven't, do it. This one from bestbuy comes with all of the formats except for 4k (no copy of 4k anywhere that I know of yet).

In Star Wars chronology, ‘Rogue One’ fits between episodes III (from prequels) and episode IV (‘A New Hope’). Depending on your HT set-up, you might tell from the opening that the quality of the 4K disc surpasses the Blu-ray easily. However, the detail improvement can hurt the CGI effects by making it slightly more artificial SOMETIMES. Good movie... There are even a couple of appearances by Darth Vader.

I saw this movie and can genuinely say I was shocked with how it played out. I couldn't have imagined this movie any better than it turned out. The cast was great and the story built perfectly into explaining the events of Star Wars A New Hope. This movie is great and looks and sounds great in 4K. The Dolby Vision version is also included on a Movies Anywhere redemption code in the packaging. If you have yet to watch this movie, I highly recommend it.

The film itself is fantastic. It is easily in my top 3 Star Wars films behind "Empire Strikes Back" and "A New Hope". It was well cast with top notch effects plus it is awesome seeing the back story to the Rebel Alliance acquiring the Death Star plans. The video and audio upgrades for the 4k disc blow the Disney+ stream and original blu-ray disc out of the water. No comparison, worth a double dip. I just wishbit had a Steelbook release to go with the 4k release.

This movie is a gritty look at what the rebels did to get the plans to the death star. Since it is a newer movie the picture quality and sound are well done. The picture is crisp and fully detailed wit the 4k and HDR. I just have my tv so I cannot comment how well the sound is except for output through my tv speakers. It does a good job though. If you are a Star Wars fan of the original trilogy you might enjoy this one too.

Better than any of the "newer" Star Wars movies. Really like the ATMOS on this--the punch the sounds of the ships have is excellent. Also the AT-ST sounds sweeeeet.

The design of this 4K is very cool. I love the green and black color combo this film since it gives the case a very sleek and fantastic look. The discs have artwork which of course is a positive. The 4K transfer is good and I think it’s worth the upgrade from a standard Blu Ray. The movie itself is very good and interesting due to the great story and director. There is nothing I can complain about.

The 4k quality is there. Super sharp and there is a noticeable difference in the digital copy and the physical disc as far as quality is concerned. It does have Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos function on the physical disc. Some are reporting no Dolby Vision but my copy includes it. The quality is a much better than the first 6 episodes of Star Wars 4K UHD

Watching from this from the 4K UHD Blu-ray is much better than streaming. The bit rate is better than you'll get via the internet. That means you'll see even better quality and detail in the picture. If you're a fan of Star Wars, this is a must buy. (Plus buying the movies separately is cheaper than the box set which this isn't even included!)
