This movie, referred to simply as "A Star Wars Story", is in my opinion the BEST of the cinematic offerings of all the derivatives that have issued forth from the original 1977 movie. Rogue One belongs to A New Hope in the same way The Empire Strikes Back does. This is "The Real Star Wars". Darth Vader included! MT4BWY!!

With Disney having taken over the Star Wars franchise, I was uncertain what to expect. I felt that their first out was just the same old stuff repeated from the original films with new special effects. However, I was extremely pleased with Rogue One. This film was wonderful and left you wanting more. Can't wait for the next film.

Plenty of reviews out there.Great Movie and transitions into right into Episode IV...except no 4K!Whats the deal Disney?waiting to gouge us later on down the road with the "NEW 4K"release?But hey,I still bought it and it still looks,and sounds,great through the 4K Sony and surround system .Must have for your Star Wars collection.

Like most Star Wars films, this one is full of drama and lasers and things that go boom. In space. This is a prequel to all the existing films, so be forewarned, it's a bit of a dark film because there's a reason they are all new to us characters. Fabulous, fun, and gives you a little glimpse into what happened BEFORE A New Hope.

I saw this in the theater on an iMax I believe and it was incredible! As soon as I left the theater I couldn't wait for it to come on DVD! I bought the collectors steelbook edition day one, and don't regret it one bit! It was worth every penny! Now they are all sold out! Don't put it back on the shelf if you find one just buy it!

Adds the missing elements of Star Wars Episode IV and how the resistance obtained the plans for the deadly battle star with its vulnerable spot - interesting to see the younger Princess Leia too - I saw it originally on its opening day for a birthday present - looking forward to December 2017 and another birthday present !!!

Movie is a good story leading up to episode 4. This one should be considered episode 3.5 because it tells story of how the rebellion got plans to Death Star so Luke skywalker could blow it up in episode 4. Was a little disappointed there were no deleted scenes. Maybe there were none. There was also no gag reel like other movies.

Fantastic deal on one of the BEST Star Wars movies ever. Not only did I get the Blu-Ray version, but also the digital copy and standard DVD format for an outstanding price for the combo pack. Not since the original three Star Wars movies have any of the others come close to matching them until now. A must for all Star Wars fans.

You will not be disappointed with this movie this Standalone film more than makes up for what I feel was a disappointment of the last Star Wars movie the characters you will feel for them as well as Cheer them on as they battle to defeat the empire you'll see cameos from rare characters you won't be disappointed pick it up today

This movie is a continuation of the Star Wars Saga. It does bridge the gap between Star War III and Star War IV, and till the backstory of how the resistance stole the plans for the death star. This movie is action packed and still tells an plausible story about the beginning of a movement to bring down a tyrannical government.

Love the steelbook design, as it is an everyone type movie. Will pull at your heart strings, but if you truly are a fan of the films you will understand that making this movie was a great addition and a must to the originals.Steelbooks are a great design, they protect the discs better than regular cases and last longer!!

Once again, the Star Wars franchise does another great job! To add the back-story that happens between part 3 and our first encounter with Luke, Leia Han, Chewie (notice only Han call him Chewie). The special effects we have now, the sky is the limit! The force has been with us, and hopefully will be for many movies to come!

I saw the original Star Wars movie the weekend it arrived in theaters. After that and The Empire Strikes Back, this may best the best. All aspects of acting, cinematography, storyline and effects were top notch. My only issue was the CGI used for Tarken which was a little obvious. All in all i would highly recommend this movie.

I've always been a science fiction fan since I started reading the old Post Treasury of Science Fiction books as a child 50 years ago. It's been exciting to actually see all the movies made from books I've read. I have the complete Star Wars collection and look forward to them making more. I did enjoy this episode of the saga!

Rogue One is simply awesome. Great acting by relatively and/or completely unknown actors, great action, and of course, great storytelling. Rogue One does an amazing job of both telling a side story in the Star Wars universe and connecting full circle to the larger saga. If you're a Star Wars fan, you'll love Rogue One as well.

It's part of the Star Wars story. If you're buying it then do you really need my review. If your not going then you don't care about my comments anyway. If your in the fence, be bold make a decision buy this movie it will entertain you for two hours, then it will sit on your shelf and make all of your smart friends admire you.

I have to admit I was skeptical about the Disney buyout of Lucasfilm. This movie shows that, if handled properly, there is nothing to worry about. The best Star Wars film that didn't have George Lucas involved. (My only complaint is the naming of planets in the movie. We don't need it spelled out to us.)

I knew I was going to buy this movie after seeing it in theaters. When I saw Best Buy had a sweet steel-book version I had to pre-order it. One thing I was concerned about was if they did a sale on it versus my pre-order price. Little did I know, Best Buy actually matched my pre-order price to the sale price! Thanks Best Buy!

I love star wars and I'm a big fan of everything related. I was somewhat nervous about this standalone film but I can honestly say I was not disappointed in the least. I thought the story was good and despite some flaws, it held true to the star wars canon. It's a somber movie but the action and effects are top notch! Buy it!

I liked this better than ' The Force Awakens'. It has a much more gritty tone and the score is amazing. This version contains a 3d disc and was a Best Buy exclusive. The 3d was okay, but not as good as 'The Force Awakens'. There are some times when it enhances the viewing experience, but it is much more conservative than TFA. Audio presentation was also very good, but I found myself having to turn it up about five decibels higher than normal to get it where I like it. I wish Disney would release their home versions with Atmos. I believe that's how they are mixed for their theatrical releases.
