Easy to install, easy to use. Takes up very little room.

I originally purchased the roku 2 xs for my hdtv and it was easy to install had it working in less than 15 minutes. I purchased this one for my older style TV and it also was easy to install and get working. I've had issues with the amazon firestick always searching for network connection. That is never an issue with either roku device.

Lots of entertainment in a small easy to use package. I have owned a Roku for years and really enjoy all of the movies and clips that can be watched virtually free. I also use it to stream NetFlix. With so many choices of movies and kids shows, I purchased another one for my daughter. She and my grandchildren love it.

Have an old Dino analog sdtv in the kids room. Picked up this box for them. Best thing as they now get TV in that room. Yay roku for making a simple product that works. If you don't need sdtv hook UPS go with the new roku 2 for HDTV as its a bit faster on the menus and the content, but hardly anything the kids notice.

Bought this one to replace the one I bought years ago when they only offered the base model. I tried the stick, didn't like ti because it had to be close to the wifi antenna. Have a Roku 3 and don't like it because it runs off wifi. LOVE the Keep It Simple Stupid model best!! It's what I recommend to anyone.

I bought this to watch net flix, I used to drag my xbox from one room to the next to watch my net flix! Now for a low price I can easily watch on each tv in my home without buying an expensive xbox! It's small and easy to hide! Easy to set up and use!

Bought this device for my mom who is not all that tech-savvy. After showing her some of the basic features, she has been able to enjoy streaming shows from Amazon, Netflix, and other channels without a lot of issues. Ease of use was the primary reason for choosing a Roku - and it did not disappoint.

The connection that was available for my Plasma HDTV required RCA cables. The original ROKU can be used with both RCA cables and a HDMI cable. The only drawback using RCA cables is that the picture is not as sharp as it would be using the HDMI cable. The ROKU is easy to use and I can now access Netflix.

After purchasing one for myself, I gave another as a gift to a family member. They also loved it. The player transformed what the viewing experience can be, all for the better. All your favorites on one menu including YouTube, Pandora, Amazon Prime, and Netflix at the click of a remote button.

The Roku 1 is perfect for older TV's that don't have current HDMI or HD technology. Seems like the programs are actually sharper on my old 21" TV/DVD combo when watching with the Roku.

We have recently purchased a smart TV and cut our cable cord, so we needed something for the not so smart TV. The Roku works wonderfully and has tons of channels that cover almost any interest. Easy to connect to the old TV (analog input) and sync with our wireless system. Great buy!

This is an excellent product at a good price. We are now satellite tv free and loving it! This product is easy to set up and use. The remote is simple. The Roku box itself is very small.

Already have a Roku 3 and love it but my daughter wanted to watch Netflix in her room on an older TV and this has the connections she needed. I thought the WiFi would be much weaker on the Roku 1 but it works great!

I bought this for my parents who dont have a high def tv. It does have hdmi but it also has the old component connection for older tvs. Great player for budget or older tvs. However, if you have extra $50 bucks and a hd tv then the newest roku or apple tv is a better option.

This is a good box. Tiny, mighty, reliable. These are a little slow to respond to a remote command, buy don't forget they have to communicate with a server to request what you ask of them and that's maybe why they need time to complete a request. Buy, you won't regret it!

Found a new 1080P television for a great price - SMART TV's were 150 dollars more --- purchased this for 1/3 of the difference and have more options. Have owned Roku in the past - wife loves the simplicity to use.

I've been wanting to dump the cable company's digital tuner for a long while because my extra TV is seldom-used. Paying them an extra fee for the tuner simply didn't make sense. Purchasing a ROKU was a no-brainer after discovering the number of free channels available.
