I was the owner of one of the original Roku systems and loved it, but it was time to let go. I knew that technology had changed over the last 7 or so years so I finally gave in and replaced my old Roku with a new Roku 2. I couldn't be happier. The system runs great, it has a much improved user interface over its ancestor, and has run seamlessly since purchase.

Good device. might be difficult for the less tech savy to pick up at first. But works well and easy to operate.

I like how easy it is to access Hulu, Netflix and many other apps. I'd recommend this for sure. Nice that UFC Pay Per View is accessible and many other apps without the need to buy cable. Still need cable to use the Watch ESPN app though. My wish list would be to include the Pac 12 Network as an app and the mirroring my Android phone wasn't as cool/easy as I expected.

Gets 5 stars when HBO Now is supported. But it's fast, versatile, and the small form factor makes my wife happy.

I have the original roku, and just cut the cord on satellite tv. So i needed another streaming box for my daughter's room. The roku 2 is great, she loves this little box and wished i had cut the cord sooner. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get away from cable and satellite companies. Great choices for a lot less then what cable charges.

The Roku was very easy to set up and to use. Decent price also.

Works as advertised. No lag in streaming. Has loads of channels (even free ones!). Also has quite a few games, even though not many are free. My one quip is that you need a direct sight to the device before it picks up the signal. Even if the angle of the controller is a little bit off (too high or too low) the device sometimes does not pick up the signal.

My first Roku was a bit more difficult to install, but this one was a breeze. I sort of dread doing this kind of thing, but the directions were clear and it was up and working easily with Netflix. One suggestion - the little box has a very bright light - I aim it towards the wall when I sleep. But otherwise, you will be up and streaming in minutes.

We bought this to see if it would be an upgrade to our Amazon Fire Stick. In general it does work better than the Fire Stick, but not by a wide margin. Pros of our Roku2 over our Fire Stick: 1) The menus are easier to use (at least for what we use it to watch, which is SlingTV), 2) the video seems a bit more stable, 3) The Roku offers the option of a wired connection (which we haven't connected yet, but we intend to.), which the Fire Stick doesn't.

I love the easy hookup and all of the free streaming channels.

My only complaint is that it only supports hdmi with no rca ports otherwise it is easy to set up and use.

I love ROKU! Have had all the different model since the beginning. I replaced a unit damaged by lightning ( yes it does happen!) I didn't get the top model because I didn't need the remote earphone jack. I do miss the top end RF remote, this unit is strictly line of sight.

This thing is awesome and gets the job done well. My only complaint would be that it sometimes gets hung up for no apparent reason which requires a hard reset. Doesn't happen very often though considering how often we use it. It has completely taken the place of DirecTV with the exception of ESPN which we plan to subscribe to Sling for soon.
