Although this is only the 2, i've been very happy with the reliability and speed of the device. Interface wise it is not much different from my other Roku's, but I do like the fact that it also comes up with hard wired lan port for faster internet access.

I have purchased several other home streaming devices in the past 12 months and found that they couldn't deliver a stable reliable output. I've had this Roku 2 for about a week and couldn't be more pleased. Very satisfied with the product and its performance.

After reading tons of reviews between the various Roku models, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire stick, and Apple TV, I ended up going with the Roku 2 based on the price, ease of use, and nonreliance on a specific brand format. My only complaints are the lack of HBO Now and some sort of mirroring/AirPlay feature, but those are pretty minor.

Good for a tech novice to get access to online media. The web config is easy to use, but I wish there was a way to do configuration from the unit. It's possible to setup a Roku account without a credit card, but it requires calling customer support, which takes some time; it should be possible without the need to call support.

Love this product so much we have 2. Super easy to install. Now we have access to everything we love to watch and not spend a fortune upgrading to a new TV.

Did allot of research on the various streaming devices out there ant it all came down to this one. CNET rated it #1. Although the Roku has the same processor and memory. the extra cost ($20) for a remote you can talk to and ear buds that connect to it is not worth the extra money. Have a friend that has the 3. the voice option was great at first but he no longer use it. He never use the ear buds. as for the 2. I cant say enough good thing about it. It comes down to this. Other the the news or sports I have not watched Cable TV from the moment I hooked the Roku 2 up.

Roku 2 it's really convenient since I don't have a Smart TV but when I do get one the Roku is faster and has more apps for me to choose from. Since I don't have blockbuster mailings anymore now I get to watch all the movies that I've been missing.

Out of the box and working great. A number of things are free. The best way to review all the channels listed are online. It might be good to set rating boundaries. Only problem so far was taking a channel off the home page. Had to restart unit.

I did a little research on the Roku and other streaming devices prior to purchase. This device has all of the functionality I need. I am able to easily access all of the streaming apps I need and I have not noticed any delay in buffering time.

Owned a Roku first generation streaming player jt worked well. Thought I'd add another streaming device to second TV and this one works great. Much faster to load video and stream content.

Was very easy to set up and started it working with no issues. Nice that the box did not have to be a view of the remote to work. You can hide the box behind the TV. They make a bracket for it but a total waste of $$ for what they want for it.

I have several now (6 of them). I cut the cord and use Rokus and Mohus. I do have three of the Roku 3 also. The Roku 2 is the same other than the buttons on the remote, voice search and the supplied headphones on the 3. Depending on your app needs, you can almost get by without a smart tv if you are using a Roku. Just know that high quality internet (speed) is necessary to avoid a lot of buffering. I decided to hardwire (Cat 6 Ethernet cable) 4 of the 6 and so far I have not had a problem. I like them because I no longer have to pay for a lot of channels (catv) that I don't watch or need. Between local channels and sling tv (through Roku) I'm saving money.

The Roku 2 is the best streamer for the features and price. Fast performance, extensive lineup of channels and completely silent when running unlike the new Roku 4 which has a big fan. The only flaw is the remote requires direct line of sight.

Loads fast. Great and extensive collection of apps. Roku had the best reviews of any of the streaming devices. Rated higher than apple tv, amazon fire stick, and chromecast. Definitely worth the money. The smart phone interface is brilliant.

I read reviews before purchasing and it helped me to decide to get a 2 instead of 3 or 4. Best Buy was even better to price match so I saved even more! Looking forward to watching many things and not have to have a high monthly cable bill!

Dropped my cable and because of this little device not missing a thing. Smooth, fast and has the content I enjoy. With a fast processor the buttery smoothness problem free device is great.

By far the best for your money. The new old is fast and has a ton of apps. Easy to set up and easier to use. A must have if you cut the cable!

I got this free by signing up with sling tv and it has been perfect. From watching Netflix or WWE network, now also has the Anthony Cumia Show app, nothing else is needed for your entertainment needs. Perfect for people who want to cut cable.
