I have owned multiple Roku devices and all have performed very well. I purchased a Roku 2 for a friend who did not require all the features of a Roku 3/4. The UI is easy to use and the device is simple to set up and control.

I had an older Roku which I enjoyed for a few years, so thought I would try an updated version. This Roku 2 blows the old model out of the water. It was easy to install, loads programs quickly, and the picture is great!

Roku converted our Samsung flat screen into a smart TV - wish I would've known this was possible before I replaced it with a smart TV! But now we have 2 smart TVs for a lot less money. Great purchase, great product.

Super functional, incredible choices, can either use wireless or via direct hard wire connection. Very easy to set up and use. Love Roku's interface. Highly recommend if you are considering cutting the cable/satellite and dramatically lowering your monthly TV bill. I am personally saving over $110 per month and have all but two channels that I watched regularly - worth the "sacrifice" :)

My flat screen is about 4 yrs. old & isn't a smart tv & I really wanted to access content from Netflix & hulu. The Roku was really easy to set up & stream right away.

The Roku 2 works very well. It was easy to set up but I needed some assistance from a customer service rep. Regular set up requires a credit card or Paypal account. I chose not to subscribe to any channels so I was able to set it up without the credit card with the rep's help. There are plenty of free channels to watch. Load times are fast. Video and audio are nearly as good as Blu-ray on some channels. I had some slight buffering issues but it wasn't too distracting. My only concern was there is no power off button. So I just unplug it when not in use. It starts up immediately when plugged back in with all my favorite channels intact.

This is far superior to the Firetv for strictly watching video content. Where it falls behind is playing games, and other non video content. It is smooth, works well, and has a nice selection of channels to pick from.

Roku 2 gives me the flexibility to grab shows from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and many more services. It allows both wireless and hard-wired Ethernet connections. Go hard-wired to enable the highest possible resolutions.

Even though we have cable, I wanted to add a streaming player. I read the reviews and decided on the Roku 2. The salesman was very informative and helpful. The Roku 2 doesn't disappoint. We're really enjoying it.

I love this thing! It has SO many of the streaming apps I already use. It was easy to setup and is really user friendly. I even discovered I could use my phone to remotely play a YouTube video on tv through it. Cool!

Bought this to replace my Apple TV 2. The primary reason is that it has downloadable channel apps. These allow me to get into different video sites with a no trouble. Great device for the price. Highly recommended.

Out of the all the different options for streaming players I researched the Roku seemed like the best option and has lived up to the expectations. No monthly fees, vast streaming options and very simple to set up.

Purchased to help us transition from cable TV. Monthly price for Cable was becoming ridiculous with the apps you can purchase via the Roku it is a lot cheaper. Very happy with the streaming and picture quality.

This Roku was easy to set up. Still trying to get use to this kind of program setup. I still have cable on other TV's. I'm trying to break away from the cable company. This system is an easy way to break away.

Great picture, easy setup, lots of channels to choose from but I like that I can remove anything I don't watch so the stuff I do is easy to find. Perfect if you have a "stupid" TV without WiFi and apps built in

My Roku 2 is a big hit with the whole family. We previously used a BlueRay player to stream Netflix but the Roku works much faster and opens up a whole bunch of new options for free channels. I highly recommend!

Bought this for my parents as a gift. Easy to setup and easy for them to use. Great option if you are only looking to stream Netflix and don't really find many of the features of the newer Rokus necessary.

I love, love, love this product. I kicked cable to the curb and now stream my TV via internet. I pay 1/4 of what I paid for cable and have very few headaches.

I personally have an older Roku-3, not the new one with voice. The price went up on the Roku-3 w/ voice control so I bought the roku2 for my parents. This makes it easier to share movies and other things and channels when I am over there. It is easy to use and they caught on to it quickly, they are in there 80's and 70's and not really tech literate, so that is a plus plus when they can work it. My dad used to think he had to leave the door on the microwave open so it could cool down.

I have a Roku for stress/commercial free viewing on Netflix and Amazon. The streaming is smooth and the item is easy to set up. Since I'm not a gamer, this is the precise level of Roku that is best for me.
