I love the Roku. We had been using a smart eve player but the Roku makes everything so very much easier. Next time I may get the Roku 3 so that we can search by voice but I am very happy with the Roku

I was a little hesitant about this unit until a family member purchased one. I was sold. Great picture and it streamed flawlessly. ...AWESOME UNIT !!!!

If you don't watch regular TV that much, this is a handy thing to have. A variety of channels (not all by any means) are available. Takes a little to get used to the small remote, but once you have that mastered you will be zipping through the offerings looking for something to watch. If you want to ditch the cable, this is a great alternative. Although if you have a BluRay DVD player, you may have many of these same options already available to you. Requires an internet connection, I found it best to go directly from the router to the Roku. If your Router is not close to your TV, may be an issue unless you don't mind long cables running between.

I tried another device prior to the ROKU 2 and sent it back because it was too difficult to setup and use. The ROKU is very easy to setup and easy to use. I recommend it.

I was using the roku 1 and it was so slow, so I decided to upgrade and the roku 2 is way faster, it has the Ethernet input and only took me like 5min to set up

The Roku 2 (latest edition) is a mature box that has all the features that most people need and has Roku ease-of-use. As long as you don't need 4K resolution, this is the best deal on the market.

I purchased this product to use with my kitchen TV because I didn't want the mess of drilling holes in walls to get my TWC service on this TV. It is very easy to set-up & use. The only drawback is that I only get about 75% of my TWC channels thriugh this device.

I have home theatre system which is connected to my internet via fast network bridges. With and older Roku 2 box, it was not quite fast enough and I experienced stuttering in my viewing. This new Roku 2 is faster and I no longer have the same problem. Nice box!

I love this! Prior to purchasing, I was an Apple TV user. I bought this because my version of Apple TV didn't support Sling TV. The Roku works just as well and has the advantage of working with Sling and having direct access buttons for Sling, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. I use all 3 of these streaming services on this device with no problems. I like this device so much that I have since purchased a second player for the bedroom. Highly recommend!

Perfect for linking all your accounts through one device. Connects much better to wifi as opposed to some blue ray players. Also holds password info so I don't have to continuously renter info.

I brought a Roku 3 mostly to replace a stick, which lack of a remote and get tired to open up the app on my smartphone. The configuration of my new Roku was painless, not a big problem, the remote had all the basic functions. Never used the direct buttons, I only have Netflix but rarely I forgot I got a direct button. The menu is very basic I wish it could be a bit more modern, but... it is good enough. The only think awkward and that's the reason why I don't give a 5 stars review it is the missing power button on the device, I went to the webpage and seems like that's the intention of the manufacture, it is suppose to use less power than a 40w bulb, which is great I guess, but still.... I miss the power button. So far so good, I'd been able to use an app to watch my personal movie library through Roku and didn't have any trouble on connection or speed. I am happy with my Roku 3.

bought this on a friends recommendation to view live streaming of indian channels and it does the job pretty well. easy connectivity to network and simple remote control. decent purchase.

we have had an apple for years but have recently started to get these too. It is a great way to get to the rest of your movies that are not on apple. We are very happy with all of our Rokus

With the Roku we are able to get Netflix and Amazon Prime which we both previously had. We are not really technology literate but we got it up and running pretty easily. Very user friendly!

we were paying for a bundle of phone/cable/internet, with lowest internet speed to save money, and it still was expensive. we hardly ever used our landline since we use our cells mostly. so we canceled landlline, canceled cable. upgraded to high speed internet and bought the roku box. easy to set up. easy to use. you do have to go through and add the stuff you want and we are still figuring that part out just because we don't spend much time and just have not taken the time yet. you need to buy a router and modem as well. also you need to pay for Netflix or hulu if you want more regular tv choices. but even with those additional cosrs, in the long run it saves us money

I was skeptical about the Roku - 2 Streaming Player at first but after a few hours of using the device I was confident I had made the right purchase. The Time Warner Cable app was the main reason I purchased the Roku, and while it sometimes freezes up, that often has more to do with Time Warner Cable than Roku. Hulu plays flawlessly as does Netflix. You will be shocked at the sheer volume of free content waiting for you after you buy this device.

Roku 2 streaming player was easy to install, easy to operate, and a great price. I mainly use it for Netflix. Great for binge watching. Opens up a lot of alternatives to high priced cable TV.

Works really well but I was not able to set up the device from the instructions that were included. Had to call customer service for details.

This is the second Roku I have bought and I love them. They are so easy to set-up and use. It is much easier to stream Netflix and Amazon with the Roku then with the APPs on my Samsung TVs.
