This Roku is very nice. I'm able to tune into many different shows for free. I am happy that I can also see movies and live programming through some of the apps for a small monthly fee. It certainly beats having to pay a high cable bill. I'm very satisfied.

I've never used any of the other Roku models, so I can't compare. But with the use of the Roku 2, I find myself missing the interface of the XBox 360 way of viewing online stuff. Also, the remote is a little slow. In fact, I prefer operating it with my Iphone but you can't always have your iPhone with you or some people may not have the app on their phone . So I would say the remote is a little bit of a negative. I really like the feature that allows you to search all the different "channels".

Overall easy set up, no problems. I'd just recommend upgrading to a newer one. I didn't think the remote was very responsive

I love my Roku 2. It works great! Easy set up and I used my Paypal account for the initial setup - no credit card needed.

This works exactly as advertised. The only issue I have with it is the very bright flashing light on the front of the box. This is in my bedroom and the light is distracting while watching tv and doesn't go off once I turn the tv off which means it disturbs my sleep. If you go back to "Home" prior to turning the tv off it will eventually go off but it takes a while. I finally just put black tape over the light which helps. I can't believe Roku can't fix this. Otherwise, it works great.

My wife and I were looking for an easy way to stream shows to our bedroom TV and this fits the bill perfectly! Netflix was our main concern but the Roku has countless other channels as well and was real easy to set up. Glad that we purchased it!

I bought this box with one purpose in mind. I wanted to replace one of my cable boxes. My cable operator has recently added an app to watch live tv on the Roku platform. I am pleased that the app and the Roku 2 performed just as advertised. I am now watching all of channels using this little box.

I recently upgraded from the very first gen of Roku devices. The old one, though it still worked almost perfectly, was lacking on some features and some apps/streaming (like vimeo and Vudu) services were no longer working. I haven't dabbled with other streaming devices except with game consoles, so I'm not super familiar with certain specs and stuff. This one is great, it has lots of apps, of course. It's very easy to use, plug and play and though the remote is simple, there are a lot of features. The only thing that is a little annoying is that on Netflix, films and shows play automatically when you click on them to read the description, the Netflix on my Wii U, PS 3 and older Roku didn't do this so it may be a feature that needs to be changed through Netflix, but how is beyond me. Anyway, fantastic hardware.

This thing does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's fairly easy to use and the wireless connection was easy to set up.

This item was the best electronic purchase I've purchased in awhile. I have Roku's on all my televisions. If you have Time Warner cable, all you need is one cable box w/ DVR if you want to record shows. With the other tv's all you need is the Roku, download the time warner cable app, and then all your tv's will have all your channels unlike just having basic cable.

I own both Roku and Amazon Firestick. Roku is the absolute best. Not only does it automatically update, but has all the apps to get you streaming fast. The Roku 2 is very fast, easy to use and very easy to get started and installed.

The Roku 2 is a great streaming box that has a very straight forward and easy to use interface with plenty of apps to choose from. If you don't need a headphone jack on your remote, definitely save yourself some money and go with the Roku 2.

The Roku is easy to use & requires no major time in setting up. Nice being able to have access to several TV apps.

I bought this for my wife after trying out Google chromecast and hating every minute of it. She's not very tech savvy and she loves how easy it is to use. The search feature that goes across the apps to tell you where to find what show or movie your looking for is awesome. My only complaint is it doesn't have a power button so it's constantly on unless you unplug it. All my other devices have an auto shut off after x amount of time of no use, wish this had that as well.

I mainly bought this to stream Netflix, but it actually has a lot more to watch on it, if you want to pay monthly fees. I was bummed to learn that most of the channels it has cost a monthly fee. Even the music channel has a monthly fee. The only other thing i use it for is to watch the top news stories, this is also free. So i mostly just use it for Netflix, real easy to use.
