Outstanding
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have all series of ROKU & the 4 exceeded expectations. Home has more than enough bandwidth to handle multiple streaming or online gaming devices at the same time yet the 3 began encountering buffering issues regularly. We purchased the 4 based on reviews here as well as ROKU processor technical data on their website. This device has operated flawlessly for the past two months, has 4K options available and the user interface is more friendly with options for which apps you want to keep or delete. It won't disappoint.

great 4k
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something that was able to help me make full use of my new 49' 4k flat panel television. And as soon as I received it in the mail it came defective with a horrible fan noise. Luckily I was able to return it at any Best Buy and get another one that has worked beautifully. The pros are; noticeable difference in picture quality and many options and apps to choose from. The cons; you have to spend money on almost every good app to be able to watch what you want. But since I'm only on Netflix then I'm not worried about it. Unfortunately I get to pay for 4 television's in order to watch 4k movies and i really only have one. So the product is great the performance is great and you'll hardly ever know it's on 24/7.

Great little box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently cut the cable and started streaming. Haven't missed TWC program lineup or their bills. Roku 4 is small and unobtrusive. The interface is easy to use. Voice recognition lets you find what you want quickly. My only complaint is with the remote buttons. On most remotes, the select button is in the middle of an array of arrow buttons. On the Roku, it is a separate button below the arrow keys. If you mistakenly press the center of the arrow array instead of the OK (select) button you will may jump to a location that takes lots of clicks to return from.

Great 4K - Hot and Loud though
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K options work great out of the box. Passthrough DD+ and DTS via optical cable is a great since my TV doesn't pass DD+ via HDMI. The only negatives are the box gets HOT and the internal fan is LOUD when it goes off. I didn't notice it when content was playing, but as soon as it was silent you could definitely hear it.

You won't miss your old streaming device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The latest edition to the Roku family is excellent. However ONLY IF you have a 4K tv is it that much more amazing. If not, stick with the Roku 3 or its predecessors. It is smoother and the remote is upgraded with new App shortcuts for Netflix etc. I have never had an issue with this Roku and use it daily. The software is easy to use and the MGO movie service competes well with the other big movie streaming services. It is all around my favorite addition to my entertainment center and takes up little to no room, and runs very quiet. I've also had to use the "find remote" button a few times. Great purchase!

The Best Roku Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku 4 takes everything good about Roku and makes it even better. The faster processor means much faster response time when navigating menus and starting apps. We haven't used the voice command much yet - have to retrain ourselves, I suppose. Haven't used it yet with a 4K TV, but am looking forward to doing so. The only downside I've seen to the Roku 4 is that it can run hotter than previous models, and the fan is somewhat loud when it kicks in, so we have to be sure to keep the unit well ventilated.

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We absolutely love our Roku 4. We do not want to pay for satellite and only get a couple channels with a TV antenna. Roku has been amazing. It's all we could ever need. Hulu lets you watch TV shows the day after they air. Netflix has other TV shows and tons of movies. There are music channels, work out channels, etc. This was an excellent purchase. The only thing is make sure you have an HDMI cable, it doesnt come with one. Also, the Roku never shuts off. There is no power button. It just kind of goes to sleep. Every once in a while we unplug it to reset it.

Minor Roku Upgrade from 3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like what Roku does, and how it offers so many streaming options. I do not have a 4K TV, but I bought this because the wireless is faster and to future proof. So far, it is great and videos load just a bit faster. The interface is the same, and that is not a bad thing. I like that there is a remote finder option in case I lose it. Overall, it is another great Roku.

Awesome!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the ROKU 4 because i have a few 4k tvs but the main reason i got it was because i am a BIG Anime Fan and the Roku Streaming Device has the FUNIMATION app which is what i am subscribed to so it all worked out. I am also subscribed to netflix, HBO-GO, i also have alot of VUDU purchased videos and the apps are all here on Roku. This is by far the best device i have Purchased. I am just super excited that i can now watch funimation in my bedroom instead of being stuck in the living room watching it off my PS4. I have my PS4 all wired up to a HT receiver and 4k tv so i really didnt want to be moving it back and forth just for my Anime shows so if you have a Funimation subscription or crackle, this device has the APP!!!!! There is no extra charge for using this device for streaming. Think of it like a smart tv or even a bluray player with built in apps, as long as Roku supports the apps you have a paid subscrition to you can watch them here. Best device EVER!!!! The bad part if you want to call it that, is that its a bit complicated to power off the device. Its like the ps4. You must scroll down to setting, then press the right arrow key button and scroll down to system and press the right arrow key again and then scroll down to power and press the right arrow key again and then scrow down to power off press the right key to highlight power off and press ok so it takes several steps to power off the device but To turn it on simply press the Home button icon on your remote and it starts up in 2 to 3 seconds and your ready to go.

Excellent alternative to leasing a cable box.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the Roku to be a very good performer. It does at times suffer from low internet speed consequences, like freeze framing, and "loading channel" syndrome, but overall, it performs very well, I would say just below, or at 1080 performance level, just make sure you have at least 200 mbps or higher, which is a speed that you want to have anyway. The remote control is the easiest I have ever used, making it in my opinion the best user friendly remote. The 4K capability is really an added plus, but hope that soon the TV industry catches up with this technology, which is available from internet sites like YouTube and other channels. Best feature: although you need a cable subscription to be able to enjoy all the cable channels, with the Roku you do not have to lease a cable box, (around $15 per month) and the resolution you get from the Roku is definitely way superior to the definition you get from your computer, (if you are trying to go that way).

Great streaming device. Not many games.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 1st time with a roku. It's a great streaming device. No lags runs very well. It has many channels. It has the time Warner cable app which is awesome. I had Apple TV before which has more games if you want to play games on your tv get that, but if you want quality streaming tv I'd go with the roku. Big plus the ear phones in remote great for not waking your wife in the morning on Sunday's to watch nfl pre game shows. Also i use my iphone as my control using the roku app

Another great product from Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our fifth Roku purchase to date. Our household has each of the Roku 1, 2 and 3 on different TVs throughout the home. Now we have added the Roku 4 to take advantage of the 4k streaming. What we enjoy is the same easy to use interface on each box. Setup is super easy and you just link it with your existing Roku account to automatically add the channels you like. Netflix, Hulu Plus (ad free), Amazon Prime, HBO and more, we use them all and they stream flawlessly.

Best streaming media player available
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are in the market for a streaming media player, I would definitely recommend the Roku 4. It functions identically to the Roku 3, but is noticeably faster and connected more reliably to my WiFi network when compared to the Roku 3. Bottom line - If you already have a Roku 3, it probably isn't worth it to upgrade. But if you are deciding between a 3 and a 4, the 4 is worth the extra. Note - I am unable to comment on the 4K capability because I do not have a 4K TV.

Excellent buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is exactly what I needed, I'm ridding myself of cable little by little, and this little powerhouse puts me well on my way! It was simple to set up, it walks you through signing into your apps/programs you put on there, it responds instantly (I cannot tell you how much nicer this is to use Netflix on than my bluray player!), the picture is amazing. I just can't say enough about it! I'd absolutely recommend roku if you're looking for a streaming device!

Much Better than the Roku 3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been very reliable on Wifi. With my former Roku 3, I had numerous instances where I had to reboot the Roku 3 because of the system halting. The Roku 4 has not had any of these problems since purchasing. Plus the wifi is better and I can run it without any loading delays. The Roku 3 ran with delay when hard wired. The Roku 4 runs fine with wireless and does not need the hard wire.

Roku 4 is Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have a 4K TV yet. However I bought The new Roku to enhance the picture on my LED HD. I couldn't be more happy. I noticed the difference right away. If you don't have a 4K yet, it's worth the investment in the Roku4 just for the enhanced video and voice search. I can't wait to see what it looks like when I get my 4K.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Roku to replace one of my Time Warner Cable boxes and give us more streaming options. It works great. The remote is a bit different than than a traditional remote but once we learned how to use it, we really like it's simplicity, ease of use and ability to quickly access the channels you recently have watched. The design makes it easy to use in a dark room and it works under the covers. We highly recommend this product.
