We unplugged from cable ten years ago, so our TV gets used only when we want to watch movies. That has meant using either the DVD player or hooking up my laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable and watching something from Amazon Prime Video. BUT - there are times that I'm traveling, and I always take my laptop with me. During those times the family has been limited to DVDs. Enter the Roku. The big plus: This Roku Express allows us to watch from a huge selection of movies even when I'm gone. The second big plus: It offers so much more than just movies. The package comes with everything you need - cables, power adapter, remote, etc. Set up instructions are VERY easy to follow and in relatively little time you're able to access HUNDREDS of movies --and so much more-- without the need for a laptop or iPad. Make sure you have your WiFi password ready to go, and you'll soon be ready to go. Bottom line, this is easy and simple to use. I'm wishing I got one these a few years ago when a friend recommended them. If you've not used one of these before, try it - you'll like it. Don't wait like I did.

even a low tech person got this up and running. some free channels, some pay for use, some you have to have an active account with a cable provider. We are going with antennae and Roku, so although we dont get everything, there is plenty to watch and no monthly bill. The device works fine, great price, a little work to set up but great once it gets going.

I love this. It is small enough to take on weekend trips and create a smart tv in hotels. The wifi interface works with your phone to connect to a hotel’s wifi. I love the fact i can connect it to tv’s usb and it powers the device. You still need to connect the video though the hdmi.

I had an ancient Roku device that finally stopped working. I checked reviews on numerous sites. The price at Best Buy was competitive with Walmart & Amazon AND reasonable.. I could pick it up same day locally. Easy to setup. Works well for streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos.

One of my favorite things. Makes it so easy to watch TV wherever we want. We can stream our cable through this as well which is perfect for our rooms that cable isn't connected to. Love that you can take it from TV to TV without having to set up from scratch every time.

We already have a Roku and wanted to another for our other tv s. When this went on sale, we grabbed it quickly. We weren't sure if we were going to like it as well as our original, but we actually like it more. Very easy to set up, clear picture, and easy to use

The Roku Express is easy to install and use with any TV. Purchased for the ability to stream cable TV application and to reduce cost of cable provider equipment. So far pretty reliable. Only con remote does not allow to change channels directly. No keypad, must navigate up or down channel list.

The unit was easy to install and was simple to integrate with my other Roku 3 I currently have. The price was very reasonable. I have had no issues running both Roku units at the same time. Make sure your home network can handle 2 streaming units.

It takes usage to get used to the format of streaming... After using it for a couple of weeks now ~ I think that this is a great device. The channel finder is different but it works. I love the favorites selection. While watching there has been a couple of delays (in seconds) but that is probably from the provider not the device. I have now bought my second ROKU Express! Now I know why ROKU is the best seller over ALL others. Non invasive and non tracking at literally no cost, $25/$30. No more rental costs for a cable/sat box. My package content is through my provider, AT&T, running through their newest "gateway" device which means no more router either! Plenty of real actual free channels are included and set up is extremely easy! I'm retired and figured it out with zero help so I highly recommend ROKU Express without the stick.

I was concerned about the specs of this item and was worried about it being slow . But surprisingly its really fast for things that I use regularly, Netflix and YouTube to be precise, at the pricetag it's an investment you wouldn't regret

I had purchased the 2016 model for my daughter's bedroom. I ended up purchasing the 2017 model the week it was released. It seems quicker than last year's model but the rest of it seems the same to me. Easy to navigate and use.

THIS WAS MY SECOND ROKU EXPRESS... I REALLY LIKE THEM ALOT, SIMPLE TO SET UP AND GREAT PREFORMANCE... I HAVE A COUPLE OF AMAZON FIRE STICKS AND ROKU DOES HAVE MORE FEATURES THAN THEY HAVE... I REALLY LIKE THE ROKU EXPRESS!!!!

I was having an issue with PLEX crashing. Updates to PLEX and Roku2 didn't fix issue. Got this. Problem solved. Does IPTV just fine. Zero issues. Only thing is the remote is not RF. IR (Light) only....meaning line-of-sight remote pointing. For under $30....Great value.

Love this small Roku player. It's a must affordable addition to any tv. I've owned three other roku, and this one is just another good product. Purchased this one for my senior parents. They are not the most tech savvy, and they are easily able to use Roku.

I purchased this because the alternative was to get rid of my perfectly good 50" 1080P 120hz TV for a newer 50" 1080P 120hz smart TV... This $25 device saved me a few hundred bucks, and it works incredibly well for the price. I picked the Roku Express because I already had a Chromecast, and I liked it, but it required another device to send a stream to it, The nice thing about the Roku is that the device works on it's own... but it can also be paired with a phone or tablet for extended features.

I have been using a media player of another brand that I purchased few years back. Lately it would freeze every now and then for no reason, and I have to redo the complete installation. Finally I gave up, and decided to go for Roku. Installation was very simple and it is working excellent. I do not feel that there is anything I am missing for media playing. This is the cheapest among the Roku media players. I don't think you really need the more expensive ones unless have a 4K TV. Glad I purchased it.

Its a little sluggish, but not unbearably so. Even with it being a little slow I think its worth it. $25 is is crazy cheap, and like the other Roku's I've had its super solid and works really well.

Just perfect... I am able to stream all my cable TV programs with Roku.. This save me $$$ on the additional cable box I'd have to have for each TV. This product will pay for itself in 3 months.

This is a great little device for streaming TV and other content. Setup was quick and easy, it works really well, and there's tons of free content available plus paid premium services like HBO.

This is my third Roku, and the smallest. I really like the idea of connecting all to the TV and not really seeing the small box. It does ALL that the other Roku's do at half the size and price.
