I bought this so that I could have access to live tv on my back porch without installing cable outlets. It was so easy to set up I plugged it in and loggged into my existing roll account it synced all of my apps automatically. it works great. Wiith the Spectrum app I can watch live tv without renting another cable box and installing cable outlets.

I purchased this as a replacement of one of my 4 cable boxes. Paying Charter $7/month for a box to watch a half dozen shows isn't worth it. Especially when you have 4 boxes. So I returned 3 of my 4 boxes, downloaded the Spectrum app on my 3 rokus, and I saved myself $21/month! Oh, and you can of course stream Netflix and other programs too.

A few months ago, my Chromecast no longer worked and I had been looking to replace it. I went to my local Best Buy and upon walking in I was assisted by a nice sales associate who walked me over to the section where the streaming devices were sold and I looked at the Chromecast then I noticed the Roku. I asked what the differences were, besides the $6.00 price and I was informed that both worked equal and it was a matter of preference, I decided on the Roku because I had Chromecast and thought it was a change. I came home and I was amazed how quick the installation was. This is a very easy to use and I have not had any problems with it. The display is large and easy to read and I am going to replace my daughters Chromecast with the Roku once hers needs replacing.

Easy Set up and has most of the popular apps pre-loaded. Good player fro the price.

Bought 2 of these to replace firestick. Firestick was having issues running the plex app and netflix app causing hiccups and stutters. I replaced it with this and everything runs very smooth, i like the interface much better plus the remote is better, has a dedicated sling button and netflix button 1 touch cant beat it.

Great for streaming channels, hard to beat price!!

My Roku was very easy to use and convenient ,great purchase for the price.

I have had many Roku streaming devices over the years since the Roku 1 came out. I have 4 different devices a 1, a 2sd, a streaming stick and now the Roku Express. I have to say this one is my favorite and allows you to drop your cable and satellite services and still get to watch whatever you want for less!

Better than I expected. Makes a great addition to my 1080p tv. Price is great since this is the most basic package, while other options are 4k (not upgrading my TV for some time). A great alternative to cable, but keep in mind some apps require a cable login (although I personally share a login with someone).

I had an older flat screen aka a dumb tv. no smart features no internet connectivity, so my baby would always take over the others to watch netflix, but this simple little device gave us all we were missing, including spectrum app, so you don't have to bother with changing inputs to watch cable, Awesome!!

We cut out the cable bill and chose this item to provide the family with a little bit of entertainment. The Roku works better for Netflix than using an outdated WII console. There are a handful of free channels but a little disappointed that some of the good channels require a cable subscription. It is very easy to use and plenty of movies to choose from.

We were staying at a hotel that had a terrible cable TV connection and selection, but great Internet. I bought this device and it worked perfectly for connecting to the room TV’s HDMI connection. I own a Roku Ultra and it synched all my channels and even let me use my iPhone as a remote for typing in passwords (which surprised me because the remote is IR rather than Bluetooth or RF). I love that it isn’t a stick like the KindleFireTV budget device. It’s a great device for portable Roku or for existing Roku customers. If it’s your first Roku device, I suggest going with a model that uses an RF remote with a headphone jack (Premium or Ultra).

Best bang for the buck! Inexpensive, easy to set up, and streams all my favorite shows and movies. Other Roku's have more bells and whistles, and higher cost, but this Roku does everything I need.

Easy set-up and use. Nice compact size. This gets the job done and the price is perfect. I've been using Roku for years to stream. Bought this for another tv in my home and it works great!

Easy to install, great price much better than cable bill

Our previous Roku unit failed after almost a decade, maybe due to a nearby lightning strike. After pricing and feature trade offs this model was the clear winner. Setup was easy. We like being able to display movies, music and photos from our home computers on our older (non-Web) TVs. The small footprint of the unit is convenient too.

Inexpensive and pretty good option for streaming but a little slow in loading and response rate. Like many smart options, the remote has limited functions and no channel selection by number. All in all its pretty good so I would recommend it to those that do not want to pay more than $20+, otherwise the $35 Roku would be my choice.

Small and fast for a bedroom TV without the ability to use a stick. Works great and no problems with installation or function. Can recommend to others without reservation.
