Have had ROKU's for many years, but they were very, very slow. Talked to some of the "young folks" at the store and ended up, eventually, buying two ROKU streaming sticks. The difference was better than I had hoped for. Both worked perfectly right out of the box. They are much smaller and infinitely faster than the originals. The kids at the store came through for us.

An almost unlimited number of apps that can be downloaded to it from Netflix to the Xfinity (Or Spectrum) app so you don’t have to pay for additional boxes every month. Disney + and now even Apple TV+ this newer model controls the TV power and volume and has a mute button. I just wished it could control a soundbar for those setups

I find Roku intuitive, fast and I love searching across all available apps/channels and this version controls my TV power and volume....since the TV is connected to the receiver via a arc HDMI cable....i control my receiver volume with the Roku remote...cool especially for those who don't understand my set up (everyone but me I think). one complaint...I get an occasional overheating message...never stops or fails but shows the mssg...looking into small USB fan perhaps. Otherwise nice product.

This stick is very compact and also very speedy to use. It responds instantly to the remote and makes watching programming on the tv very enjoyable. It is great quality and I haven’t seen any glitches yet. Most of all, takes up no space and remains hidden to sight.

I had this stick connected to a TV for almost 2 years, if you have a good internet connection this will perform flawlessly! More options for streaming including Disney + and Apple TV. Not so with some Blu-ray/DVD streaming boxes. Super small and discrete, remote does all it needs to and adjusts TV volume!

Had enough of the DirectTV abuse so we cut the cord. Tried on big dinosaur TV first and it did indeed heat up and not hold a charge. Moved to the slightly newer HDTV and it works great. Simple to set up, simple to use with lots of free choices at a savings of 150 bucks a month.

The Netflix app on my tv had become outdated, and along with the fact that it didn’t support Hulu it made the most sense to purchase this, works great

We recently moved into a new house (rental) and it only has one cable outlet in the living room. Grandma wanted to be able to watch Fox News in her bedroom so I picked up this baby for her for Christmas. After a simple configuration and showing her how to use it about three times, she is an expert and loves being able to not only watch cable TV, but Netflix and Hulu as well.

We have 2 Un-Smart tv's in our house and we were paying monthly rental fees for boxes to get cable. Plus, everyone wanted to watch the streaming services at the same time on the other tv. I wanted to find a cost-effective solution to cutting down on our cable bill while having a smart device that was easy to navigate and had lots of app options. I have an older AppleTV model which didn't have all the apps we wanted and I really didn't want to shell out $300 for 2 new ones. I was going to get a Fire Stick, but the BB associate suggested this Roku. I bought just one just in case it was horrible, or hubby, who is not techy hated how it navigated. I was surprised at how easy this was to install and use. There are a lot of apps to choose from, including Roku's, and navigating is quite nice. The hardest part was signing in to our subscribed apps. It seems that all these devices have remotes that are aggravating and minimalistic, but compared to Apple's and Firestick, this one's pretty good. You also can set it up and take the stick with you on vacation or to someone's house and not have to sign in to all your apps again. It's great for when I watch the grandkids. I'm going back for the 2nd Roku.

We bought this to replace xfinity (our bill jumped up about $80 over the course of a year after our initial 1 yr contract was up). It works pretty well. Had a couple issues with the stick overheating, but you can order and extended for free. Once we got the extended, haven’t had any overheating warnings. Sometimes the sound doesn’t synchronize with the action of the TV, but we were able to figure that out by playing with the settings a little. Overall, pretty good product but not flawless.

Easy to install, Easy to use, If your buttons don"t work except for volume or power you need to re-sync. Wish there was a online Browser though.

I had the old Roku device in two parts, decided after reading rewviews to upgrade for my bedroom tv. This was a nice upgrade with the on/off button, volume control, and probably faster too. I just purchased a 4k tv and a 4k Roku for my living room, will be installed next week. Love Roku!

This was worth every penny! Bought a $30 amplified antenna and this stick...made my older flat screen like a smart tv. And the stick is so user friendly. Easy to setup and I completely cut the cable/satellite cord for good! I use a couple of the free streaming services and a Netflix account. Saving big bucks every month! Wish I’d done it long time ago!

My 12 year old grandson hooked this up for me. It works great. Don't have to have cable boxes to see television. Watch through app. Save money.

I went into Best Buy wanting to buy a Roku device. From my on line research I had decided all I needed was the lowest price item, but the Best Buy sales person suggested I'd be happier with this one which was more than what I had intended to spend. I figured he knew what he was talking about and I bought his suggestion. On the way home I thought I caved. I should have stayed with the product I wanted and vowed to return the more expensive Roku device and get what I wanted. But I might as well install it and test it out, right? Easy Peasy installation. I already had a Roku TV and so had a Roku account which this device easily attached itself to. Then, because this device has voice command, I was watching and most importantly, searching, for the shows I wanted. Just speak my desires into the the device, after pressing the listening button - it is not always on listening for your command, and a menu of every show available of the series I wanted, with channel and price, shows up. Tab through and select. No tedious inputting of letters and numbers. Pick the one I want and off I go. Well worth the extra money. The sales person did know what he was talking about. Excellent product.

I bought this because it supports the Spectrum app and the Firestick does not. I bought a second one because of how well it works. The remote will control all the functions of your TV and it is so easy to use that my wife want me to put one on all our sets. I bought the 4k version for an older Samsung 8000 series even though it is a smart TV.

Awesome, small and portable and perfect for my man cave/garage tv. I was replacing my 10yr old roku which was a bit slow but i did not notice until i loaded up the new one. Very nice speedy difference and worth the little investment so i could get OTT Broadcast and tell DirectTV to have a nice day but you aint getting my money any longer. Bye Felicia.

This is an excellent streamer! for first-timers or someone who might not be tech-savvy but it’s also just a very good device in general. I have an Apple TV as well but I have this in a guest room and though it’s not as snappy or fluid as the Apple it’s still fast enough and simple and just a fraction of the price. It’s an excellent value.

Love this little stick! There are models that are cheaper and some more expensive. For me, this one is just right! It’s portable so I can easily take it on vacation with me. It has the capability to power on/off my tv and change the volume. I rarely use my tv remote anymore. And can’t forget one button access to Netflix and sling. Great little product!

Was a little laggy at first but now it’s rolling. Not a huge fan of the voice control as it’s faster to just find most things scrolling through by the time it gets you there but the control of tv power and volume buttons is a huge plus as compared to other models without the feature.
