I recently purchased this Roku streaming player. Hands down Roku has the most channels/apps versus any other streaming player on the market. It is very easy to setup. One more very cool feature is the fact that you can plug headphones into the Roku remote for some private listening.

The Roku Ulta is the best for streaming Hulu! Netflix and is the only device that also streams Amazon Prime and Vudu. Also PlayStation Vue and Directtv Now can be streamed. The remote has a port for headphones for private listening. As I quite cable this I device is awesome.

In the ever changing world of tv cable changes. This unit really equals the playing field.

What can I say. I've had a Roku 3 since they first came our a few years ago. This month I upgraded my TV to 4K and it was time to upgrade my Roku, too. I like the newer design on the remote and I LOVE the 4K resolution this thing delivers. Connection and installation were easy peasy.

The Roku was easy to install and set up. It opened a whole new world of streaming TV. Many free programs and movies. I have Amazon prime so I have thousands of movies and tv series available. I "cut the cable" and saving over $200 per month and still watching plenty of TV.

No need for a smart TV or any other devices to be able to watch all of your streaming content. Many channels to choose from with more 'hidden' channels also available. Easy to use and the quality is amazing! I would recommend to anyone looking for a streaming content solution.

Previously had a chromecast but wanted more than just a mirroring device. It’s really nice having all the apps in one place, but sometimes the controls aren’t as intuitive as I’d like them to be. The headphone function on my remote doesn’t work, but was able to download the app and listen from there. 4K quality is great. It’s not perfect, but it’s nice to have around .

This is my first streaming device and it is awesome lots of apps and extras. Excellent

I purchased this because I decided to "Cut the cord." I chose the Ultra primarily because it was able to produce Dolby Digital 5.1, which my sound bar can use. I've found this unit to be fast, stable, and it has a great selection of apps for streaming services.

Roku Ultimate is nice because you can speak to search for movies or shows. Just realize that you must subscribe to a carrier such as Sling, Huhu, Netflix, etc. The remote isn't as nice as some of the cable company remotes but with those you are paying for them multiple times over if you are renting them.

What Roku has is OK, but it would be even greater if the device had full internet access and not just apps.

We upgraded from a Roku 3, well worth it. The difference between the Roku 3 and the Roku Ultra is the Ultra will play Dolby Digital when connected to the TV where the Roku 3 only played the video not the audio. The build quality is good and it was easy to set up.

I bought the Roku 4 ultimate to go with my new 4k TV. I've had a Roku 3 for about 16 months and have been very happy with it overall. The Roku 3 is much better than the services built into smart TVs, it has a better processor so navigating the menus and loading apps is much faster. I always thought the picture quality the Roku 3 delivered was pretty good for streaming. The Roku 4 Ultimate is a game changer! It makes the Roku 3 seem like a four year old smartphone. It get's the job done, but it's pretty slow. The Roku 4 Ultimate on the other hand is like a brand new high end smart phone. Menu navigation responds immediately, apps open much faster, and the picture quality is in sane, and not just with 4k stuff. The streaming apps for the most part need to pick up their game on the audio side but they are definitely bringing high picture quality to streaming. I highly recommend the Roku 4 Ultimate to anyone and everyone!

If you TV doesn't have all this built in, this is a great way to get Netflix, Amazon, etc. Even if your TV does have this, you may find the interface easier. If you are running the Roku thru your AV receiver (HDMI) then you sound is getting input into the "stereo" easily. If you are using the apps within the smart TV then you have to wire either to a ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI on both the TV and AV Receiver or run a Digital Audio to get the return audio from the TV to the Receiver. This little unit makes it very simple.

I got rid of cable tv and don't miss it one bit, there was never anything on anyway

Roku is awesome, if u have 4k tv this is a pretty good device. I use primarily for PlayStation Vue which is a cable service. Saves me about 100 bucks a month compared to DirecTV. Has many different channels, like hbo, showtime etc. Some u have to subscribe to some are free. Pretty easy to set up too.
