We tried cutting the cable and only using roku, but we just couldn't give up local tv. While we went back to having cable, we still use this all the time. Our toddlers shows are very easy to get to. Launching apps is extremely fast.

Able to get to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, vudu, google play.

Works fine but I was not able to use it through my HDMI switch.

I've tried Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chrome Cast, Roku Stick and finally the Roku Ultra. The Roku Ultra does everything I need it to and does it better than all of the alternatives that I've tried.

We love using our Roku so much that we bought this second Roku for our other TV set. I like the way it sorts all the APS. It works very well for Sling TV. The ear jack is easy to use with headphones

I enjoy all the app's it has and the quality of the picture it produces, only problem is the RF remote, when unit is connected with an Ethernet cable it stop working after about five minutes, but works OK with wireless WiFi.

I bought the Roku4 when it first came out to future proof myself, then a few months later this one came out and had HDR. I finally bought down and got it now that I have a 4K TV. It looks amazing.

Easy set-up. Easy to use. Like the 'find the remote' feature-with 3 kids in the house, the remote is never in the same place. The icon screens and the 'loading' screen aren't quite as sleek as the appletv, but still quite functional.

Easy installation and set-up, user friendly interface. This model replaces my early model Roku, which is still going strong after 8 years but does not support newer apps (Hulu live, HBO now, etc.)

I replaced my Roku 3 with the Roku Utlra to get 4K HDR on my 75" Sony TV. I could have probably saved $20 by getting the Premier+ because I use a Harmony remote and do not need the enhanced features of the Roku Ultra remote. I went with the Ultra anyway because the optical connection makes the unit more versatle if I want to change my set-up in the future. Besides, the Ultra was on sale, thereby resulting in a relatively small price difference. The Ultra is fast and hardly ever freezing up. If it does, a reboot takes only a minute and the product works smoothly. Unlike my Sony smart TV which has occasional lip sync issues and randomly reboots when using smart apps, the Roku Ultra is very stable.

We now own more than one of these. Very easy to install and operate. Have had no issues for the most part. After several years we have some issues with the remotes responsiveness.

I love the Roku. I had the Roku3 and it made me cut the cord from cable. Don't even need it. Now with my new 4k tv with her this is my new media hub. Everything great about the Roku3 plus 4k hdr

Occasionally needs a restart. Otherwise a good purchase.

Runs 4K Streaming no sweat. No pixilation or delays ever. Excellent processor and picture quality on top of access to all the ROKU accessible apps and channels. I am now officially a cable cutter.

It was finally time to upgrade my Roku 3. I chose the Roku Ultra because it had a USB port that I can use with my external drive. The 4K is awesome with my new 4K TV. Awesome product.

If you want to get the most out of your audio, along with 4k HD, this is the best option since it's one of the only Roku players with optical input. Now everything sounds as good as it looks!

Recently upgraded my TV in my family room. to a 4K HDR LG OLED. Have had Roku's for years, so this was an easy decision. Using it to stream Amazon and Vudu 4K content. So far no complaints.

Excellent device. Very easy to set up and use. The only pain was having to have separate accounts for each service and inputting all of the sign in info through the remore. No problems so far!

Though a tad slower than the Roku 3, the Roku 4 does 4K HDR playback beautifully. I have it connected to an Denon AVR from which it goes to an LG TV via a 25ft HDMI cable. All perfect.

I've had 4 different roku players and this is by far the best one that I've owned. Top of the line with the HDR feature. But you must have a true 4k tv with HDR to get the full experience.
