Intuitive. Pretty quick. Makes watching much less of a hassle.

I was worried to pick this up due to all the issues I had with my previous Roku 4 but I loved it enough to know I wanted a worthy upgrade that could handle 4K HDR. I'm blown away. The Ultra really works well, doesn't get to hot like the previous gen. and I'm happy to say that I'm not experiencing any of the issues I've seen many others have mentioned with this unit. Netflix, Amazon and VUDU 4K work really well and HDR shines on Amazon and Netflix. Couldn't be happier.

We just upgraded to the Roku Ultra and have been very happy with it so far. It's CPU speed is great, menus and Channels load much quicker than before. Picture quality is great, too. Haven't had time to play with the new remote features yet but I'm really looking forward to trying them out.

Overall we are pleased with it. Wish the remote allowed configuration for the hot "quick" buttons and had an actual off/power down mode. Just have to remember to put the device back to the home screen so it will automatically go into screensaver mode otherwise will be continually streaming if left on an active app. We returned the Apple 4K, which we really wanted to love being Apple phone, MacBook, and iPad owners, but the remote was too sensitive. Grab it wrong and you would change the channel with the Apple. Frustrating..... The Roku has regular buttons so there is no issue. The Roku has all the apps we need and use with the ability to stream 4K. Interface is easy to navigate and setup was easy. The menu is quick to change apps with a remote that is easy to use. Surprised the newest version did not upgrade to the gig LAN port but the 10/100 LAN connection seems to be fine with no buffering or lag issues that I have noticed. Small footprint for the main unit that goes almost unnoticed. Not sure it is really worth 99.99 but is far less expensive than the alternative. So far we are happy streamers.....

As with any streaming device you are being tracked. What you watch, pay for, don't pay for, when you watch it, what you rate, etc. Just so you know that, lets get to this. 1. The earbuds work great, sound good. 2. Remote, don't even have to be in the same room (like all other Rokus, just start changing it from the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen etc) The wife just Loves it when she can't figure out why she can't keep watching her programs lol. 3. Doesn't heat up like other streaming boxes do 4. Easily hooks up, Wired or WIFI

The Roku Ultra has a little more processing power than the Roku 3 and can do 4K and HDR. Be aware that to really appreciate the possibilities of the Roku Ultra you need to have access to a consistent internet connection of around 15 Mbps. My connection maxes out at 10 Mbps and I have buffering issues at times.

Bought the roku to break away from cable. We use it for sling TV, Netflix, and amazon prime. We love it and in the end will make our money back in a few months without the cable bill. It’s super fast too! I think there’s a port to add a usb drive for storing data if needed.

Great, easy to use and fast. Improved remote has enter button in middle of arrows like every other remote, instead of a separate button on old model. Voice search works great.

Thought the Ultra would be just what I wanted but it ended up being much more than what was needed. Loved the idea of having a separate audio out which was one of the reasons I bought this box. The setup was very easy and the box is extremely fast. Couldn't find any fault with this box except for price and being more than what I needed. I returned this box for the Premier+ and I'm very glad I did. The Premier+ was on sale for $79 in store. So, instead of the Ultra at $129, I got the Premier+ at $79. Again, I couldn't find anything wrong with the Ultra, was simply more than what I needed. Should have done more research.

Settled on the Roku 3, the additional $ for the Roku 4 didn't seem to be worth it but it's hard to tell. Why are there so many versions anyway? Super easy to set up. One yucky thing is having to reenter all your logins/passwords for your streaming services. Why doesn't Roku remember them like Chrome does?

The Roku is incredible. It moves so much faster than my smart television, and with the ability for a hard connect now, it's lightning fast. We also have Amazon Prime and after some research, Apple TV didn't make sense for us to use. This is the way to go for sure.

ABC no commercial subscription, VUDU, NETFLIX, and other limited networks. Oh and don't forget the ROKU channel! Love the voice search. Using the optical sound from my Visio 4K TV. Only downfall is I can't control the Bose Solo sound bar from the remote.

I like this roku ultra it’s fast and it does not heat up it has voice search and I would recommend this roku ultra to all of my friends

This is my second Roku device used for main viewing. I also have a Roku 4 which is in a different room. The Ultra has all the new bells and whistles including 4K and HDR. It also now has an optical output which this time decodes Dolby digital for those who have older AV receivers. It feels slightly faster when navigating through the menus but all in all about the same as the Roku 4. The "OK" button has also moved on the new control. I haven't played with all of the features and functions yet but one day I will. Good product for streaming.

Speedy enough processor to keep up with streaming video when the connection is solid. Has some issues loosing link to TV through the HDMI cable. Maybe it's the TV. Maybe it's the Roku. But, it's not the cable. The Direct TV Now beta app stutters at least every hour.

Initially bought a Firestick for my 8yr old Samsung but the picture was very pixelated. I ended up buying this Roku device which works great on this tv. Can't wait to buy a 4K tv. The Firestick ended up in a much newer Samsung.

This is our 3rd roku purchase and at that time, this was the top of the line for Roku. We thought we'd need it for the smart TV we bought but apparently not so we just used it for other TVs in the house. It has 4K capability.

I love Roku products! I've had a Roku since their very first device, and each model just keeps getting better! We hooked this one up to our Sonos bar and our movie projector and now have a movie theater in our living room!

WOW! what a surprise, you won't be disappointed. No Idea at how much is available for streaming be it free or by subscription. The Roku is so easy to use and understand I can't imagine anyone not giving it a great review.
