Wanted to like this thing, I really did. I like it's zippy interface, and easy-to-use remote, but I've had far too many HDMI handshake issues. I've been hoping for software updates to fix the problem but no luck. At first I was thinking it was a 4k-tv thing, but I just gave up and bought the new 4k Apple TV (which works great, BTW). So then I hooked up the Roku to one of our old standard HD TVs and SAME PROBLEMS. I've swapped out countless HDMI cables, factory reset numerous times, and no fix. I even recently started up a Hulu Plus trial, and for some strange reason, on the Roku, the image (when it actually plays) is zoomed in, and I can't understand why. Other services on the Roku don't have that issue, and Hulu runs just fine on other devices. I'm fed up, and will not buy another Roku product again.

Ease of use, the user-interface, speed/performance, quality, channel options, and everything else are fantastic, the only thing I wish Roku would change is the remote. Making the remote control some basic TV functions (power and volume) would make it perfect for me as I wouldn't always need two remotes.

Easy to set up. Bought this to augment my Tablo device, they connect seamlessly.

Dropped cable and finally bought this. Great streaming with no buffering or lag.

My only regret with this purchase is that I did not make it *years* earlier. While not an avid daily TV watcher, I do occasionally enjoy movies, comedy specials, and some series like Silicon Valley and Game of Thrones. With Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now added to the Roku, there is nothing missing from the previous cable company connection except the huge monthly bill -- and I have greater viewing choices! Plus, the savings on the monthly rental fee that the cable company charged for their set top box paid for the Roku device in about 9 months, so every month after that is pure savings on equipment. Although I am technically savvy, the installation, setup, and ongoing use of the Roku is unbelievably easy even for a novice and does not require any special skills. An impressive device in both intuitive operation and long-term savings. Highly recommend.

I recently bought a roku for my family and they're loving it! Easy to install!

Bought this about a month ago. Was easy to set up and intuitive to use. Connected to an existing Comcast account. Fast downloads. Netfix and Hulu were easy to use. The headphones that plug into the remote is great when others don't want to hear the show.

Love apple but this roku is better than apple tv as it is cheaper, has 4k and hdr and is more versatile. Love that you can hook up headphones to this unit and plug them in to the remote. Brilliant. Love this product and will never go back to apple tv again.

Before purchasing this item, I owned an older Roku. I liked the older Roku but needed a second one for a different TV in our home. The new Roku I purchased has a number of new hardware features but I found the most welcome improvement was in the user interface. It is much faster and easier to navigate the system and get to where you want to be. I am happy with this purchase.

New Roku is great. Remote is better compared to older Roku remote (Roku 3).

The roku ultra is everything I expected it to be. It's lightning fast, you don't have to point the remote at the unit to make it work, and the earbuds included with the item are a bonus. Now I can watch my late nite shows without waking up the household.

I picked this up for a Christmas gift for my middle daughter. She seemed to be quite happy with it. The setup was easy and the picture was great on her 4K set. The device did not appear to be underpowered which is a big bonus on a video streaming device.

The streaking is perfect. Great variety of apps that can be downloaded.

I have been an Apple TV user for years and initially purchased one of the new Apple TVs because it has its own App Store. Once I realized that it did not have a few of the apps I wanted to download I returned it to the store and went with the Roku Ultra because it seemed to do everything I wanted. I have been beyond happy with this device as it literally has every app that I could ever want. It also has great picture! My Time Warner Cable app on the Roku has better HD picture than my HD set top box. I HIGHLY recommend this product as it is the best of the streaming devices on the market. One thing to keep in mind though, the performance of this device definitely depends on your internet connection. I would buy one of these for my family but there is no way their 10mbps connection would support the HD picture and functionality such as streaming live TV.
