I remember first seeing ROOTS on television. I also purchased the complete series. Now I have it remastered in blu ray. It was well worth the wait to have this extraordinary series permanently in my collection. The images are a great improvement over the original DVDs. It belongs in everyone's collection. This TV series was and will always be among the greatest ever aired.

I watched it when it first aired on TV and was happy to finally have it on Blu ray at a price I could afford. The special features is an added bonus that makes purchasing Roots worthwhile. This is an excellent series that needs to be seen especially considering the times we are living in right now!

I have waited a while to get this movie set at a price I wanted to pay. I enjoyed the dialogue and actors and actresses excellent performance in making one feel a part of what was happening.

I have always wanted to own a copy of this series. I happened to be online at the right time and got it for a great price. I have enjoyed having it in my collection. Alex Haley did a wonderful job telling his family's story.

America has a mixed history. This is a thread in that history that speaks to our sordid past involving slavery, but also the perseverance that caused a man to rise up in the midst of great adversity. Honestly, a true American story.

It is about time that the original Roots series released to Blu-ray! I am old enough to remember those original TV broadcasts and how powerful they were. This 40th Anniversary Edition preserves the original beautifully.

This collection is an excellent compilation. I found it refreshing since I have not watched this series since the 70's. I have a new appreciation for what the story is attempting to convey.

Riveting, compelling presentations of slavery bondage, and civil war freedom. High profile actors performances at their best. Well represented series emotional and entertaining enriching our outlook.

This is a timeless classic. The transfer to blu ray is superb and it is perfect timing for this release with the history channel's remake recently on TV and coming to blu ray in August.

I enjoyed see it again after all these years it is time for new look of things of the past and look to the new times of to day.

This has been my favorite movie as a child. I had to add it to my dvd collection

On time and gave us a tracking number knowing where my product was at.

My wife and I looked at it with our 15 year old grandson. We enjoyed it very much.

The first time I saw this movie I Was in 7th grade I'm 52 now and found it absolutely amazing, nothing like I remember it.
